I decided I needed to change my blog theme. On my previous one, you had to scroll down before posts would pop up at all, the space between paragraphs was much smaller on my blog than elsewhere, and I was starting to notice that posts I reblogged lost their capitalization. However, on my new theme, my background image isn’t behind my whole blog anymore and I’m not crazy about the title being on the side, and also it doesn’t seem to show my tags which I need to fix because my tags are important to my rambling. I might try reworking this one a bit more, or I might go looking for another theme, or I might just go back to my old one with all its quirks and flaws because at this point I liked it better. Does anyone have any suggestions? Maybe I’m a bit too picky about this. 

While I’m doing blog housekeeping stuff, I did post that playlist I mentioned. I’ve heard that posts with links on them don’t always show up on tumblr and since my previous rambly textpost got more likes than my fanmix has so far, I thought I’d mention that in case anyone just didn’t see it who was looking for it.

Anyways, I hope I’m doing a decent job of balancing fandoms. I know at one point I advertised myself as a Gotham blog when I’m really becoming more of a multifandom blog, but I think I’m keeping a fairly even mix of Gotham and Series of Unfortunate Events stuff, plus cats, obviously. My fandoms will most likely change many more times over the course of this blog, but in any case, thanks for reading my ramblings.

Oh dangit I’m one short. Did I miss one? How did I miss one? I’m still not seeing it--oooh wait, is it just the fact that there were 42 things, and 42 is the meaning of life, the universe, and everything? Okay that’s what I’m going with since I really don’t see anything I’ve missed. 42, the number of items itself is the reference, final answer. 

Well that was a fun multifandom quiz! I hope other people do it, too. I want to compare results.

One of the things I love about having a tumblr now is tracking down all the great fanart I’ve appreciated for so long and getting to share it and sing its praises properly :) The lovely Christmas Tardis picture in this set was my first phone screensaver when I started using my first smartphone last Christmas. (Yes, I’m very behind on technology for a millenial.) I love all of these so much, though. The style feels like proper, old-fashioned book illustrations, gentle and fantastical and nostalgic--and, of course, Christmassy :) 

In response to the “which door” question--well, the cheating answer is the Tardis so that you could visit all of the other worlds with it ;) Honestly, though, I would choose the Tardis first for the sake of variety--I mean, how could you turn down the whole universe, past, present, and future? Second place is harder to pick, though. Probably Hogwarts, followed by Middle Earth and/or Narnia--I think those two tie for a close third. Each promises similar fantastical adventures. Wonderland and 221B would be neat, too, but they’re lower priority. I don’t actually recognize the door below the Tardis with the hippos (or horses?) and the lighthouse. Whatever fandom that is is probably laughing at me now. In any case, I love how each door leads to adventures :)

i have seen many of my favorite creators leave this app on account of random people who don't even know them. one of my favorite creators just left, and the people who were making so much trouble for them were from a fandom they wrote for!! people on this app that do not make content should acknowledge that we as writers, all have seperate lives, most of us work, or go to school, or both. even if you personally don't like their work, if you're in the fandom, at least leave a like! we're all keeping each other afloat on this app and we all need support, so the next time you're thinking about bullying another amazing creator off the app, please know that there is a person behind your screen that is creating all this content for you, and you need to respect that.

Malscots Unite

It’s a crossover between all of my favorite fandoms and the mascots are the characters I use for AUs such as Matt (Eddsworld), Boyfriend (Friday Night Funkin), Silver (Sonic The Hedgehog), Luigi (Super Mario), N (Murder Drones), Gumball (The Amazing World Of Gumball) and Donatello/Donnie (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2012) and this is how all of the worlds connect with each other and I’ll make some more posts about The Malscots soon and how they act with each other!!
