•~•~•~•~~••~•~•~•~•
The air was crisp in Zaun; nothing new, but it was nice. Jinx has on the jacket Caitlyn had knitted for her over the holidays, it was, very, very uncomfortable to wear. However, she wasn’t planning on telling Vi that any time soon. She wanted to live.
For the first time in a few years she had nothing to do… it was weird. Nice at first, but now it was just, boring to say the least. She could only work on projects in the shop for so long. She didn’t frequent shops, at least not in Zaun. She didn’t really hang out with people down there either. Not saying she did with folks in Piltover, but at least they were somewhat entertaining to watch. From a distance, of course.
“Fuck outta my way.”
A man sputtered as he pushed Jinx into the side of a building, knocking over the sign that was badly nailed to the doorframe.
“H-hey!! what was that for???”
Jinx grounded herself as she picked up the sign she had, unfortunately, knocked down. Huh.. Firefly sweets?? What kind of idiot names their business after.. anyways..
Jinx laughed and knocked on the door. No one answered so she peered into the glass, her eyes squinted. Nothing? Aside from the glass display case, it was empty.
“Uh Okay!! I’m just gonna leave this here!! Sorry!!”
As she put the sign on the doormat she noticed a scuff mark. Shit. It must have rubbed off of her hands. Jinx’s work was dirty, it was messy and she had no reason to wash it off because she was planning on returning home to finish off some side-projects.
Now that she’d done that she figured she might as well take it back to the shop and polish it up, clean the scuff marks… maybe. Whoever made it wasn’t thinking straight, I mean, who uses screws when you could just use liquid concrete??
She rolled her eyes and snatched it back; it’s not like she was being overly nice, it’s just painful to see such a butchered job. Maybe she’d offer whoever did it welding lessons.
•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•
Ekko ran up to his business; it was his first stock day, which would give him everything necessary to open up. Was it a stretch?? Maybe. But hey, It’ll pay off, he just knew it. Wait a second…
Ekko Gasped; did someone rob him?? He wasn’t even open and someone had taken the sign off the front door. Great. Now what will he do?? Opening day is tomorrow and I don’t even have a sign….
All he could do is hope whoever stole it would give it back, but in Zaun his chances were slim.

“Get out.”
The dimmed lights gave off an eerie glow that made Jinx shiver; but she stayed.
All that was left was his dusty picture on top of the barstool. And memories, of course, but nothing that would ever compare to the sound of his voice, laughter, or kindness. How would she manage now? The Last Drop wasn’t just a mere bar located in the heart of Zaun. It was hub for trade and honest to goodness corruption; it was a humble tavern.
“What’s with the attitude? I just came to give you this.” Ekko spat out as he threw a box on the floor, landing with a thud. He walked out the door, slamming it behind him as he spun around, grabbing the bridge of his nose and growling.
He kicked a rock that was perfectly placed in front of him as he waited.
She’d come out eventually, right?
He took advantage of the rusty wall in front of him and leaned against it, closing his eyes for a moment. He didn’t know what to do; with Jinx, that is. He knew how much Vander meant to Jinx and Vi, and since Vi had already left, she was the one who had been taking care of Vander and vice versa. It was, a sticky situation to say the least. But perhaps what hurt him more was the fact that Jinx didn’t want to talk to him. Nothing new, but it hurt more after Vander’s death.
“I FUCKING HATE YOU.”
Ekko jumped at the voice booming in front of him; he must’ve fallen asleep.
“YOU DID THIS. NOW GET OUT!!”
His eyes scrunched, “What are you talking about?? I had nothing to do with that! It was an accident, Jinx.”
“You can’t just go blaming people because you’re hurt.”
She huffed and walked back inside, slamming the door behind her with a gritty scream.

JINX X EKKO HEADCANNONS
a/n: I'm gonna post another chapter of "Thrill of the job" some time this week!!! so have this while y'all wait
Ekko's fingers are always gentle when he's tinkering with gadgets, but when he touches jinx, they're rough and demanding, always sending shivers down her spine
Jinx has a secret obsession with Ekko's voice, and will often sneak into his workshop just to listen to him talk to himself while he works (he assures her it isn't creepy)
they have a habit of getting into fierce arguments, but the tension between them is always too hot to handle and they often end up kissing to make up, with Ekko's hands tangled in jinx's hair.
Ekko loves to tease jinx, tracing patterns on her skin with his fingers, making her squirm and blush, and jinx loves to retaliate, biting his ear and making him groan
jinx has a weakness for Ekko's neck, and will often find excuses to kiss and nibble on it, making ekko's eyes glaze over her with desire
they have a secret game of "dare" where they challenge each other to do increasingly naughty things, and it always ends with them tangled up in each other's arms, kissing and.... you know the rest.
Ekko's workshop is filled with hidden cameras and microphones, and jinx loves to sneak in and leave him little "surprises" for him to find..Surprises being, flashing skin and the rest is up to your imagination.
jinx loves to wear Ekko's clothes, especially his leather jacket, and Ekko loves to see her in them with his scent wrapped around her like a blanket
They have a habit of getting lost in the undercity, and always seem to find themselves in the most compromising positions, like tangled up in an alleyway or pressed up against a wall, with Ekko's hands on jinx's hips and her legs wrapped around his waist (By accident of course, or so they say.)
Thrill of the Job (Ekko x Jinx)
chapter 3.
Ekko's eyes flickered open, and he looked up at Jinx. "Get me out of here," he whispered, his voice weak. Jinx nodded, her heart racing. She scooped up Ekko, cradling him in her arms as she made a run for it. The guards were closing in, but Jinx didn't care. She had to get Ekko to safety, no matter what. She ran as fast as she could, her heart pounding in her chest. Finally, she saw a glimmer of light up ahead - the entrance to their hideout. She stumbled through the door, Ekko still clutched in her arms. Jinx laid Ekko down on the bed, her hands shaking as she felt for his injuries. He was hurt badly, his body bruised and battered. Jinx's heart was racing as she tried to stem the bleeding. She had never felt so helpless in her life. Ekko's eyes flickered open, and he looked up at her. "Jinx," he whispered, his voice weak.
Jinx's heart skipped a beat as she looked down at Ekko. She felt a sense of trepidation, mixed with a deep sense of desire. She leaned down, her lips brushing against his. It was a gentle kiss, but it sent shivers down her spine. Ekko's eyes seemed to sparkle with amusement, and Jinx felt a pang of embarrassment. But as she looked down at him, she saw the sincerity in his eyes. He cared for her, deeply. And Jinx felt her heart melt, just a little.
Jinx's past mistakes began to haunt her, and she found herself withdrawing from Ekko. She couldn't shake the feeling that she was unworthy of his love and affection. Ekko, sensing her distance, tried to reach out to her, but Jinx pushed him away. “Stay. you’re going to start bleeding again.” She didn't want to burden. Ekko, however, was determined to help her face her fears and overcome her emotional scars.
Ekko's touch sparked a mix of emotions within Jinx. She felt a deep-seated desire to surrender to his love and care, but her past experiences had taught her to be wary of trust. Ekko, sensing her hesitation, took things slow, gently coaxing her out of her shell. “Stop fussing and let me hug you.” He whispered words of comfort and reassurance, his voice a soothing balm to her frazzled nerves. As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, Jinx felt the weight of her secrets and fears slowly lifting.
As the night wore on and he recovered, Ekko took Jinx to his hideout, a secluded sanctuary in the heart of Zaun. “I know you got hurt too, don’t try to hide it.” He tended to her wounds as well, both physical and emotional, with a gentle touch and a compassionate ear. Jinx, feeling seen and heard for the first time in her life, began to open up to Ekko about her past. “It was, a lot, to say the least.” She shared with him the traumas she had endured, the pain and the fear that had driven her to become the person she was today. Ekko listened intently, his eyes filled with empathy and understanding, and Jinx felt a sense of liberation wash over her.
They began to discuss what had happened back there, the job, what they could’ve done differently.
He had always trusted Jinx to have his back, but now he felt betrayed by her actions. Jinx, sensing his hurt and anger, tried to explain herself, but Ekko wasn't having it. He felt like she had put him in harm's way, and he couldn't forgive her for that.
One thing was for sure, they would be laying low for the next few days..
As the days passed, Ekko and Jinx barely spoke to each other. The tension between them was palpable. Ekko, however, couldn't shake the feeling that he had been too harsh on Jinx. He knew that she had acted out of a desire to protect him, and he felt a pang of guilt for not trusting her. Jinx, on the other hand, was torn between her love for Ekko and her own sense of self-preservation. She didn't know if she could ever trust him again, but she couldn't deny the feelings that still lingered in her heart.
Ch. 3 of “Thrill of the Job”?? Tonite???

•*Christmas Bomb*• ( Jinx x Ekko )
Jinx dragged Ekko to the Piltover Christmas market, determined to get him into the holiday spirit. Ekko grumbled and complained, but Jinx just laughed and pulled him along, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
“Make it quick Jinx, I don’t wanna get chased away by the enforcers..”
As they walked through the stalls, Jinx insisted on trying every single festive food, from sugary cookies to spicy cider. Ekko watched, amused, as she made a mess of herself, powdered sugar covering her nose and cheeks. Jinx grinned, “Look Ekko!! I’m Santaaaaa!!!”
Finally, they arrived at a small, quirky stall selling handmade gifts. Jinx's eyes landed on a tiny, explosive-looking ornament, and she squealed with delight. "Ekko, Ekko, look! A bomb-ornament! It's perfect for us!"
Ekko raised an eyebrow. "You can't be serious. That's just a recipe for disaster."
Jinx pouted, but Ekko could see the spark of mischief in her eyes. He sighed, and handed over the hexes to buy the ornament.
As they walked away, Jinx turned to Ekko and grinned. "Merry CHAOSMAS, Ekko!"
Ekko rolled his eyes, but a smirk appeared on his face, "You're something else, Jinx."
And then, without warning, the ornament exploded in a shower of glitter and coloured paper, covering them both in a mess of colourful confetti.
Jinx laughed, spinning around in circles, her eyes shining with joy. Ekko couldn't help but laugh too, pulling her into a warm, confetti filled hug.
“Hahaha!!”
"Merry Christmas, Jinx" he whispered as he held her, his voice full of affection.
Jinx grinned, her face coated in glitter, "Best. Christmas. Ever."

Thrill of the Job (Ekko x Jinx)
Chapter 2.
The job was a simple one, or so it seemed. They were hired to steal a valuable artifact from a Zaunite noble, Lazar, who had a reputation for being ruthless. Ekko and Jinx spent hours on a stakeout, looking for the best way in. They moved silently, their footsteps echoing off the walls. Jinx felt a thrill of excitement, her senses on high alert. This was what she loved about the job, the thrill of the unknown, the rush of adrenaline.
As they made their way deeper into the Lazar's mansion, they encountered their first obstacle. A group of guards, armed to the teeth and looking for a fight. Ekko took note of this, his eyes scanning the room for any sign of danger. Jinx followed close behind, her guns at the ready.
"You take those two, I'll take the rest."
Ekko scowled, "Hey! Why do you get more??"
She chuckled and elbowed Ekko in the ribs, "That's not the point, so quit wasting time.."
They moved swiftly, taking down the guards with ease. But as they reached the artifact, they were confronted by Lazar himself.
The noble was a tall, imposing figure, his eyes cold and calculating. He sneered at Ekko and Jinx, his voice dripping with contempt. "You think you can steal from me?" he spat. "I'll have you know, I have the best security in Zaun. You'll never leave this place alive." Jinx smiled, her eyes glinting with amusement. She loved a good challenge, and this noble was definitely providing one.
Ekko stepped forward, his eyes locked on the noble. "We'll see about that," he said, his voice low and deadly. The noble sneered, but Ekko just smiled. With a swift motion, he knocked down Lazar, enough for Jinx to grab the artifact. She glided across the room, dodging Lazar's attacks as she signaled to Ekko for help. They made their escape out into the street, Lazar's guards hot on their heels. But Ekko and Jinx were a well-oiled killing machine, working together seamlessly to evade their attacks.
They ran through the streets of Zaun, the guards closing in. Ekko and Jinx dodged and weaved, their footsteps pounding the pavement. But as they turned a corner, they were confronted by a group of hooded figures. They were big and burly, their eyes cruel. Jinx and Ekko exchanged a look. Something was off.
"Jinx watch out!!" Yelled Ekko as one of the hooded figures charged forward, almost knocking Jinx to her feet. Jinx couldn't shake the feeling that they were in over their heads. Somewhere during those 10 seconds Ekko got caught in the crossfire. She could see the strain in his eyes, the way his movements were slowing. And then, just as they thought they had the upper hand, one of the thugs landed a lucky blow. Ekko went down, and Jinx was left to fight alone.
Jinx's heart was racing as she fought to protect Ekko. She took down the cloaked figures one by one, her guns blazing. But as she looked down at Ekko, she felt a pang of fear. He was hurt, and she didn't know how badly, It could be… serious.
She knelt down beside him, her hands shaking as she felt for his pulse.
“No..”
It was weak, but it was there. Jinx let out a breath of relief, and then she looked up to see the guards approaching.
“Fuck.”
Chapter 2. Today?????
Thrill of the Job (Ekko x Jinx) chapter 1.
Jinx walked alone through the dark alleys of Zaun, her marked-up boots clicking on the wet pavement. She had just finished up a job for a client, and the pay was good. As she turned the corner, she saw a familiar silhouette leaning against a wall, as well as two shiny eyes fixated on her. Ekko, the boy who had been a knife in her side since they were kids. Always getting in the way, always trying to protect her. But Jinx didn't need protection. She could take care of herself.
Ekko pushed himself off the wall and walked towards her, a slow smile spreading across his face. "Jinx, what are you up to?" he asked, his voice low and smooth. Jinx rolled her eyes, trying to hide the flutter in her chest. She hadn't seen Ekko in months, not since their last job together had gone sour. But that's a story for another day. Despite the tension between them, she couldn't deny the spark there that still existed. Ekko's eyes seemed to see right through her, to the vulnerable girl she tried to keep hidden underneath that rough exterior.
Jinx tried to brush past Ekko, but he caught her arm, his grip warm and gentle. "Hey, wait up," he said, his voice soft. "I need to talk to you about something." Jinx raised an eyebrow, her heart racing. What could Ekko possibly want to talk to her about? They stood there for a moment, the tension between them building. Finally, Ekko released her arm, and Jinx took a step back, as if expressing her distaste.
As they walked, Ekko told Jinx about a job he had lined up, "It's a reach, but it'll pay off.."
It was one that required her particular set of skills. Jinx listened, taking in all the information he was giving her. She had always been drawn to the thrill of the job, the rush of adrenaline that came with it, the danger. And with Ekko by her side, she felt a sense of security she couldn't quite explain and didn't really want to. Maybe it was the way he watched her back, or the way he seemed to understand her. Whatever it was, Jinx found herself agreeing to the job.
Ugh..why did I agree to this?
Compromise
(Ch. 4)
Chapter 4.
Ekko walked up to Jinx that night, holding a bunch of blue flowers. He was really nervous. (His shaky hands gave it away)
Jinx looked at the flowers and raised an eyebrow. "What's with the flowers, Ekko?" Ekko looked down and saw that the flowers were all wilted. "Aww, man. They got all…droopy," he said, feeling embarrassed. But Jinx just shrugged. "I don't care, they look nice. They're kinda cute," she said, trying to hide her smile. Ekko's face lit up, "really? You like them?" he asked, feeling happy.
Jinx rolled her eyes. "Shut up, Ekko. Of course I like them...you're kinda cute when you're all nervous and stuff," she said, looking away.
Ekko's heart skipped a beat. He took a step closer to Jinx, "I have something to tell you, Jinx," he said, his voice shaking.
Jinx looked up at him, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "What is it, Ekko?" she asked, trying to sound tough.
Ekko took a deep breath. "I...I like you, Jinx. A lot," he said, his face turning red.
Jinx's face turned bright red too. "What?? That’s not funny Ekko…”
“Do you… really like me?? Like, genuinely?”
But then, she didn't say anything else. She just stood there, looking at Ekko with a mix of emotions on her face. Ekko's heart was racing, waiting for her to say something.
"Of course I do…" Ekko said, trying to break the silence, “Always have.”
But Jinx just looked away, her face still red. "I wasn’t expecting this, Ekko," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. “I didn’t even put on something nice..”
Ekko's face fell, but he tried to stay positive. "O-oh,It’s okay, you look really nice. Take your time, Jinx," he said, trying to sound calm. Jinx nodded, still not looking at Ekko. "Yeah...Thanks, um…" she said. Ekko nodded, feeling a bit disappointed. But he didn't want to push Jinx, so he just stood there, waiting for her to say something. The silence between them was awkward, but Ekko didn't care. He was just happy to be near Jinx, even if she was being a bit weird. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Jinx turned back to Ekko. "Ekko?" she said, her voice soft.
"Yeah?" Ekko replied, his heart skipping a beat.
Jinx looked up at him, her eyes sparkling with emotion. "I feel the same way, Ekko," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Ekko's heart soared. He took a step closer to Jinx, his face lighting up with a smile. "Really?" he asked, trying to contain his excitement.
Jinx nodded, a small smile on her face. "Yeah...really," she said.
And then, in a movement that seemed to slow down time itself, Jinx leaned in and kissed Ekko. Ekko's heart melted, and he wrapped his arms around Jinx, kissing her back. The wilted flowers were forgotten, but neither of them cared enough. The only thing that mattered were their unconditional love for one another.

(Ch 3.)
Chapter 3.
Vi was finishing up her shift in the kitchen when she caught a glimpse of Ekko out of the corner of her eye. “Hey!! wait up…”
Ekko slowed down and took out one earbud. “Woah, Vi, long time no see..”
“Are you serious? I served you breakfast yesterday.. ungrateful son of a b*tch..”
Ekko chuckled and let out a sigh. “It was a joke, Vi, ever heard of one?”
She rolled her eyes and took him to the side. “I needa talk to you, boy saviour.” She looked up, “It’s about Jinx.”
Ekko’s eyes went wide, “Is she okay? What happened? Will she be okay?? Is she fine? Tell me Vi!!”
“Hey hey, I know you like her but would you mind calming down. Geez, don’t get your panties in a twist.”
Ekko looked taken aback as he sputtered, “Hey! I don’t wear panties… so don’t go saying that.”
"I've seen the way you look at her, the way you help her out all the time, you're always there for her Ekko."
Ekko shrugged, trying to play it cool. "I just like helping her out, that's all."
•*•*•*•*~~*•*•*•*•
Vi raised an eyebrow. "Don't give me that, Ekko. I've seen the way you've helped her with psychology class, making her feel more confident. And all those games you've shown her to help her learn? That's not just friendship, Ekko."
Ekko looked down, fidgeting with his hands. "I only want to…see her happy, Vi."
Vi put a hand on his arm. "I know you do, Ekko. And I think you could make her really happy if you just told her how you feel. You've done so much for her already, it's clear you care about her deeply."
Ekko sighed as he held his nose bridge, looking up at Vi. "I don't know, Vi. What if she doesn't feel the same way? What if it ruins our friendship?"
Vi smiled. "Ekko, you'll never know if you don't try. And even if it doesn't work out, I think Jinx values your friendship too much to let it ruin things between you two. Besides, I've seen the way she looks at you sometimes... I think she might feel the same way."
Ekko's eyes widened, hope sparking in his eyes, "Really? You think so?"
Vi nodded. "Yeah, I do. So what do you say, Ekko? Are you going to take a chance and tell Jinx how you feel?"
Ekko took a deep breath, a determined look on his face. "Yeah, Vi…I’ll think about it."
He waved goodbye and rode away on his skateboard.
Maybe I shouldn’t…. What if it distracts her from the exam tomorrow…
I don’t know…. Maybe I should just let it go
With that his phone buzzed:
Ekko sighed and murmured under his breath, “Guess I’d better put on something nice..”
A/N: Do we think Ekko should confess to her next chapter??? Orrrr do I drag it on another few
Compromise
(Ch 2.)
Chapter 2.
Jinx woke up before Ekko the next morning and after realizing they’d spent the night in each other’s arms she scrambled to her feet. She attempted to brush off the feeling of warmth that lingered in her chest. She told herself it was just her imagination, that she didn't actually feel anything for Ekko. But as she went about her day, she couldn't shake the sensation that something had shifted between them.
She found herself glancing at Ekko, wondering what he was thinking, and feeling a pang of irritation when he caught her eye and smiled.
"Hey, Jinx! What's up?" Vi asked, as Jinx walked into the cafeteria, Vi was making breakfast, her hair tied up in a makeshift ponytail and a spatula in her hand.
"Not much, Vi," Jinx replied, trying to sound nonchalant. "Just getting some breakfast."
Vi raised an eyebrow. "You're not still mad at Ekko, are you? I thought you two were getting along fine…"
Jinx scowled. "I'm not mad at him, I just... don't know what to make of him, okay?"
Vi chuckled and smirked, "Well, Ekko's a bit silly, but he's all right once you get to know him. And he's definitely got a thing for you, Jinx."
Jinx’s face went red, “Shut up Vi! No he does not. I can’t believe you said that out loud, gosh.”
•*•*•*~*•*•*•
Vi walked away into the kitchenette to put away the ingredients, “C’mon, we’re sisters, I have every right. You know, Jinx, it’s doesn’t hurt to try.”
“Try what?”
Jinx rolled her eyes as Vi trotted back to her side, “starting the fire.”
Jinx looked at her with disbelief, “What are you saying? You sound like one of those cringy characters in the shows Caitlyn likes to watch..ugh.”
Vi just winked and handed Jinx her breakfast, “I’ll chat it up with the boy saviour after my lunch duty, okay?”
Jinx stuck her tongue out. “No need.”
A/N: next chapter is gonna be juicy.
Compromise
(Ch. 1.)
Chapter 1.
In the dimly lit dorm room, Jinx flopped onto her bed, surrounded by piles of dirty laundry and empty energy drink cans. Her grades had just been posted, and she was less than thrilled. A big, fat 'F' stared back at her from the screen of her laptop, mocking her. Except it was not an F, it was a C+; but at this point they’re equals. She let out a loud sigh and tossed her phone onto the bed, where it landed with a soft thud. Ekko, her roommate and fellow student, poked his head into the room. "Hey, Jinx, what's wrong?" he asked, his eyes scanning the messy space.
Jinx groaned and buried her face in her pillow, “I mayyyy or may not have failed my psychology class. Again."
Ekko chuckled and sat down beside her. "Well, you can't exactly blame yourself., You did spend most of the semester pulling pranks on Caitlyn."
Jinx lifted her head, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Hey, that's not the point, The point is I'm a freaking genius and I shouldn't be failing anything."
Ekko raised an eyebrow. "A genius? I mean, love the confidence but from where I'm standing, it looks like you're more of a..creative problem solver…”
Jinx shot him a sarcastic grin, but Ekko just laughed and ruffled her hair. "Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get 'em next time. Now, want to come with me to the cafe and grab some dinner?"
“Fine, but you’re paying.”
As they walked to the cafeteria, they ran into Vi, who was sitting at a table, downing a cup of coffee. "Hey, guys! What's up?"
Jinx plopped down beside her, still looking sulky, “I failed my psych class. Ekko's being annoyingly cheerful about it."
“She got a C+, it’s not that serious,” Ekko chimed in. Vi snorted, “Well, someone's got to balance out your negativity, Jinx. Besides, it's not the end of the world. You can always retake the class..or just bribe the professor with one of your infamous pranks."
Jinx perked up at the suggestion, but Ekko shot her down. "No way, Jinx, you're not bribing anyone. You're going to study hard and pass that class the honest way."
Jinx pouted, but eventually, the three of them got into a lively discussion about everything from their favorite video games to their plans for the upcoming summer break, which was another 5 months around the corner, but hey, who’s counting?
As the night wore on, Jinx found herself stealing glances at Ekko, who was laughing and joking with Vi. She couldn't help but notice the way his eyes crinkled at the corners, or the way his hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck. As they left the cafeteria, Ekko turned to Jinx and said, "Hey, I want to show you something that might help you with your schoolwork."
Jinx raised an eyebrow, intrigued
“What is it??”
Ekko grinned. "It's a game, but not just any game. It's an educational game that can actually help you with your psychology class."
Jinx snorted, "A game? You really think a game is going to help me pass my class?"
Ekko chuckled. "Hear me out, hear me out, this game is actually really helpful, and it's fun too. It's all about interactive simulations and puzzles that teach you about different psychological concepts."
Jinx shrugged, but her curiosity was piqued. "Okay, fine. Show me."

They walked back to their dorm room, the tension between them still palpable. As they entered the room, Ekko closed the door behind them and booted up his laptop.
"Okay, so this game is called 'Mind Loop'," he explained, opening up the game on his laptop. "It's all about building and navigating different mental landscapes, and it teaches you about different psychological theories and concepts."
Jinx watched, fascinated, as Ekko showed her the game. She was surprised by how engaging and interactive it was, and she found herself actually enjoying it. As they played, Ekko sat next to her on the floor, their shoulders touching. Jinx felt a flutter in her chest, but she tried to ignore it, focusing on the game instead. And as the night wore on, they got more and more into the game, competing with each other to see who could solve the puzzles faster. But as the hours passed, Jinx started to feel her eyelids getting heavy.
Ekko noticed and smiled. "Hey, you're getting tired. Why don't we take a break?"
Jinx nodded, and Ekko closed the laptop. They sat there in silence for a moment, the only sound the hum of the computer.
Then, without thinking, Ekko reached out and wrapped his arms around Jinx, pulling her into a hug. Jinx felt a rush of emotions, but she didn't pull away. Instead, she hugged him back, feeling a sense of comfort and security that she hadn't felt in a long time.
As they hugged, Jinx felt her eyes getting heavier and heavier. She rested her head on Ekko's shoulder, feeling his warmth and his heartbeat. And before she knew it, she was falling asleep, Ekko's arms still wrapped around her. She felt him relax, his body sinking into the floor as he fell asleep too.
A Rose’s Thorns (Final chapter)
(ch. 4)(MDNI)
Chapter 4.
As they lay there, still catching their breath, Powder's eyes locked onto Ekko's, a sly grin spreading across her face. "My turn," she whispered, her voice low and husky. "I'm taking control now."
“Wha—!”
Ekko's eyes widened in surprise, but he couldn't deny the excitement that sparked within him. He had thought he was the one calling the shots, but now he realized Powder had been “playing” him all along. She had been letting him think he was in charge.. but that was far from the truth.
Powder's body slid on top of Ekko's, her legs wrapping around him like a vice. She started moving, her hips swiveling in a slow, sensual rhythm that drove Ekko wild. Her hands grasped his hips, pulling him deeper into her, and Ekko felt himself getting lost in the sensation.
"Damn, babe" he breathed, his eyes rolling back in his head, “You're killing me” he whispered between breaths.
Powder just laughed and kept moving. She was in control now, and she was loving every minute of it. Ekko was at her mercy, and she was determined to make the most of it, maybe teach him a thing or two about his body. As she rode him, Powder leaned down and whispered in his ear, "You're mine, Ekko, All mine." With that his eyes rolled to the back of his head as his cheeks went all flushed.
Ekko's body shuddered, his heart racing with excitement. He was hers, and he knew it. He was putty in her hands, and she could do whatever she wanted with him, put him in any position; and what she wanted was to drive him crazy. Powder kept moving, her body grinding against Ekko's, until he was begging for mercy. "Powder, please— please, I need you..” he whispered, his voice hoarse with desire. "I'm going to lose it."

Powder just smiled and kept going. She was in control, and she was loving every minute of it, not to mention Ekko was as well. And when Ekko finally had his release, his body trembling with pleasure, Powder just laughed and whispered, "Mine."
