Hello!
I have my very first dermatologist full body exam next week, and as a young guy who wears tighty whities exclusively, I worry that I should wear something a bit more "normal" to avoid embarrassment?
I figure they won't bat an eye, but I can't help but be nervous.
Do you have any advice?

First, I want to commend you for taking care of yourself and getting an exam. Early detection may be life saving when it comes to skin cancer.
Honestly, I think you should wear your tighty whities. Guys still wear them, so they won't think anything of it. Heck I even have some guys who go comando. So it's a bit of shock when they aren't wearing anything under their gown. We are professionals and not much surprises us.
On the day you sent this message, I was wearing a pair of tighty whities. Surely, that must be some sign for you!

I noticed the previous question about undies in the exam room, and you noted that most guys are conservative and sport boxer briefs. Is it uncommon for guys to wear regular boxers for their exams? I just started wearing my regular boxers to my annual physical a year or two ago, but had always worn boxer briefs before.
Thanks for the question. I definitely see less of the traditional loose boxer style in my work experience as a physician. Boxer briefs and briefs more common for the men I see. Additionally, briefs are more common for older men. My opinion is that they return to their old, familiar stomping grounds and don't care what other guys/gals think about their choices, as they get older.
In your case, I am curious why you switched. Personally, I never got the support I desired from a traditional boxer. I always craved that form fitting touch from the brief or boxer brief.
Who do you think looks better between these guys?

Thanks for the question, Nic. I love hearing from fellow underwear addicts. I can relate to your organization issue very well. Some of my favorite brands are Jack Adams, C-in2, and Todd Sanfield, although it is hard to choose.
I am size medium right now but previously was a small. I’ve gained a few pounds since the pandemic hit. 😟
When it comes to my storage tips, one of the first recommendations I have is to make you have a good folding method. This can make them more compact in your drawers, allowing for more space.

I am always searching for new ways to store my underwear. It can be overwhelming at times. But I feel blessed to have this problem!

Have any of your patients checked out your package while you were giving them an exam? Even just a glance?
The most I can say is about the older women in my practice. who are somewhat inappropriate. For example, I have one patient who is uncomfortably effusive with her praise of me every time I see her. She hugs me and kisses me on the cheek (as I turn to maneuver myself that way). The last time I saw her, she grabbed my hand and held it tightly for 5 minutes (no exaggeration) before I hand to yank it away to begin the visit. She also proceeded to tell me how wonderful her sex life was with her now deceased husband. She is in her 80s.
If anyone has checked out my package, I am none the wiser.
Do you often see men get erections while performing physicals? It can be nerve-wracking to be turned on by being examined by male doctors. 😳

Honestly, this doesn’t happen. At least in my experience, it doesn’t. You have to remember that the doctor’s office is usually a high stress situation which may inhibit penile tumescence. Also, I never examine a man without his consent. At the time I see him, he is wearing a gown and still has his underwear on. My approach is as follows: “Do you have any concerns below the belt that you would like have checked today?” So if he was sporting wood, he would likely decline an exam.
It is possible a urologist may see this as they are likely examining men all day long.

In our modern times, her family is alive and well. So she is a rich girly now and lives a much more posh life than her 1920s self.
She isn’t very grateful for her rich life and feels the need to rebel and be with the regular everyday people. Modern Maríanne is a skater girly and when she’s out and about she dresses in a much more grunge/skater clothing. She still loves to box, of course but doesn’t do it as frequently as 1920s Maríanne.
She rarely disguises herself in public so when news outlets take pictures of her, it doesn’t phase her even when her family berates her for acting so crass. Maríanne always finds someway to get back out there. Always involving herself in a bit of crypto scams which puts her on many people’s hit list but she has protection, so she’s fine??
Her personality doesn’t change too much, she’s just a bit more snobby and quite the airhead. Despite being an airhead, she knows what’s she’s doing. She just doesn’t think about the consequences as much as og Maríanne.
Her features are also slightly different though, she’s a lot more leaner and her curls are better taken care of than Lackadaisy Marí.

as far as I can tell from doing a few hours of research, no. it seems to be largely due to the cat's personality and environment, and there's not really any specific ways different breeds like to play, or at least there haven't been any studies done on it. some cats are more energetic and that's linked to genetics, but that's about it! thank you for the question, it was really fun to research!
