HMMMM thinking this idea through with a more awake brain. Maybe if I take a small part, from 1:53 to 2:50 ish, I can split that up in 7 drawings. With some small added changes here and there to get like an animatic/PMV kinda idea... Which is a whole lot less overwhelming than the entire song but still gets the feel across AND I get in some practice working with animation and video editing... That's quite tempting. It's also a combination of my current hyperfixations, so that deffo gives a good motivation boost Honestly I just might try it...
Been listening a lot to Sleep Token lately and I'm just imagining how cool this song for a Shadow AMV would be.
The temptation to turn this into another art project I won’t finish- 🥲
Biker hedgey
I heard it's his year? 👀
Sleepy baby
i don’t know how else to word this but sleep token doesn’t feel real. in the sense that when i listen to almost any other artist (there are very few outliers) it just feels like i’m listen to music ya know? but with sleep token it’s like i’m transported to a different realm of living. i don’t know if it’s the genre bending, vocab vessel uses, extensive lore or what but it doesn’t feel like just listening to music.
also the call backs to other songs, eras and albums is insane. it really brings the feeling of “this is an entire experience” to light. like euclid capping off tmbte and the whole trilogy with call backs to multiple songs just leaves me feeling full of emotion. what emotion that is, i don’t fucking know-except “wow, everything has come together to beautifully.”
even with past self on eia with “all up in a frenzy but not like before” - a call back to say that you will (one of my personal favs) just had me jaw dropped. like, this man is really and has really created a whole WORLD. teeth of god in infinite baths, when that was the tour name last year??
idk if any of this makes sense but this band is truly unlike anything i’ve listened to and experienced. the time and effort that this man has put into everything is just wow.
it's good to have a comfort zone artwise, something that feels most true and resonating for you, an easy-to-access source of inspiration. i always thought that expanding skills further should basically mean finding comfort and resonance in a broader sense. doing studies should feel good because you're learning to understand something, and it leaves some part of itself in you; you will eventually resonate with everything you grow to understand. and that's why skill growth should feel rewarding
you'll get the urge as an artist or a writer to say out loud the things you're worried about "the proportions are off" "kind of out of character" "i'm not good at summaries" "didn't get as much detail as i wanted" "i made a mistake and here's how" and that's the self-conscious part of your brain telling you "it's bad and if you don't tell them you know it's bad then they'll think you're stupid" but you've got to ignore that little voice and pretend you think it's good or else that little voice is going to ruin your life
Had a feeling there was some symbolism in those flowers. It immediately reminded me of that one side mission in Nier:Automata (Spoilers for that below)
Ouch, thanks for that Sega
