Theres a new mom and pop coffee shop in Gotham that's doing pretty well. The place has a casual playful vibe but it only ever has one employee, which has lead to it having a bit of a urban myth status.
He's there through all the opening hours and no one ever sees him come or go, only the lights switching off and the teen disappearing.
It probably doesn't help that the shop has a ghost themed name.
His name tag reads, "Nightingale" and he always has a polite smile, but the few who dare to act out in his shop notice his eyes flash a particular shade of green and are suddenly overcome with the feeling that they're being stared down by a large apex predator and a sickening sense of dread.
Needless to say people behave in his shop.
Whats more is that his store shows up on county records just fine, but if you try to look into anything your computer glitches out and you can't find anything. Obviously "Nightingale" can't be the owner, he looks only 15. Some say he's a vampire, others say he's a zombie like Red Hood.
Tim doesn't care what he is because the first time he entered at night as Red Robin the guy immediately started making a coffee were he could see, made it exactly how he liked it and gave it to him before he even had the chance to order. Then he refused his money, saying it was on the house.
None of the people waiting in line argued or were upset and Tim was unsure if that was because he was a well known Gotham vigilante or it Nightingales reputation protected him.
Either way the coffee was delicious.
Tim didn't know how to feel when he found out his family was investigating the "possible runaway" who worked at the coffee shop.
Dp x dc prompt because I have nothing else on my mind.
Grayson twins au! But, Danny was given up for adoption as an infant. The Graysons couldn't take care of two kids in the circus. It was just too much. So they gave up one.
Years later, when they're both about 14, Dick and Danny finally meet. At first, they're actually quite similer. They're funny, puns galore, and just happy to know the other exists. They stayed in contact for a while, Bruce, Maddie, and Jack all kept in contact aswell. Making sure the boys had time to meet up. On all levels except for physical (fraternal twins) they were the same.
Then Danny's accident happened. No one but Danny and his friends knew. So when Dick noticed Danny's sudden change in behavior, he became worried. He started checking in more, constantly asking how Danny was.
But when Jason came into the picture, Dick also became distracted. Their contact dropped, their meet ups became scarce, and even when they did happen, Danny was quiet, and Dick was distracted.
Then Jason died. Dick became desperate for brotherly connection, grief and hallucinations consumed him. His lack of contact with Danny suddenly became too much. Constant maddening calls, worried letters, immediet panic whenever Danny didn't respond. Eventually, Danny had to sit him down and give him a very rough talk. It basicly sums up to, "Look, man, I have my own life, and I need to live it. Please, get help, and don't talk to me until you do." It was the finale nail in the coffin. Dick felt betrayed, and they wouldn't speak to each other for years after that.
Whenever they do meet again (up to you), everyone is shocked by how different they are. Dick is so bubbly and fun, Danny is serious and stiff. Dick is cuddly and affectionate, Danny keeps his distance and saves his praises for when they are really needed. Dick stands tall and strong, Danny slouches, depending on a crutch to support him.
While the bat siblings seem uncomfortable with him and unerved by the stark difference between the two, Dick has made it his mission to rekindle the brotherly fire between the two. Slowly, but surely, the siblings realise how alike they actually are, both for the good and the bad.
An idea I am having right before my flight back home starts... I will expand on it more once I am home tho but for now hear me out please.
Teenage Dad Tim. We got Bruce, Dick and Jason taking in Danny but do we have Tim taking him in?
Like deaged Danny (reduced to a toddler because of his Ghost age) suddenly appearing before Tim with white hair and Lazarus green eyes, clearly a meta kid too in Tim's eyes. And Tim just goes... yep that's a toddler with pit madness, let me just forge some papers real quick and then I can investigate my new kid.
No B, you can't have him. Danny is mine now. See the papers. He is illegally mine now.
Nightwing giggled at the post he found. He wasn't sure if it was real, but seeing as they live in a world of metas, gods and aliens surely anything was possible, right?
Still, a post on Chirper stating:
"Superpower mishap. My consciousness is stuck in cyberspace, please send help"
was kinda hilarious, even before he edited it to add:
"Not Batman. Do not send Batman."
And of course everyone on the internet is a troll which is why not only was Batman @'d a few million times but other members of the batfam were as well.
Baby bird was still trying to figure out how someone could get thier consciousness of all things stuck in cyberspace while Oracle was doing the digital equivalent of poking the poor data guy with a stick. Interesting times indeed.
More Peter Parker in Gotham bullshit. He's friends with his new neighbor Jason <3
DP x DC Prompt/Plotbunny #6
After days? weeks? months? years? in this mercy-forsaken lab, Danny finds himself slipping; his core straining under the weight of what he's been subjected to. In a last ditch effort to save his fracturing soul, his brain simply stops processing the pain and allows his mind to escape into a waking dream.
Danny knows it's a dream. If he thinks about it; he can still hear, see, feel the scientists at work. He doesn't think about it; instead embraces whatever false world his mind decides to concoct for him.
.
Several states away, a young boy opens his eyes to the inside of a strange pod in an abandoned lab. Though he cannot see it yet, a strange metal tag dangles from his ear, stamped on one side with the word 'CADMUS' and on the other with 'R-13'.
Imagine Danyal never getting revived by the Pits after he had to battle Damian to the death. Ra's instantly destroys the body at the last breath that Danyal takes because he knows that his daughter will have a moment of weakness and he wasn't willing to let a weak one live. I'd like to put them around the ages of 5-6 ish.
Damian thought it was normal, and treated everything as fine because it was always expected of him. His twin was the weaker one after all. All emotional and soft despite the training. He has never called his brother "Akhi" bc he was weak and refused to acknowledge him as a brother
Meanwhile, Talia was grieving her son. Danyal who was just like his father where the people in League would call weak because he was reluctant to kill and was very soft at heart. That's when she made plans to remove her only remaining child from the League and overtake her father.
So Damian was sent off to his father.
Now, Danyal Al Ghul has been reincarnated into Daniel 'Danny' Fenton. He was born and raised in the Fenton's family and has no idea about his past life.
Now, I kind of want Danny to get turned into a ghost at a younger age. Maybe age 10 so Damian would be 16, so there would be an age gap of 5-6 years.
Damian has lived with the Waynes for years now. When he was younger, he didn’t and had never regretted killing his brother. After all, was it a surprise that the moment he entered the Manor, he tried killing Tim? He had already killed one brother, more over his own blood, so what is another, if not an inferior one due to having no relation to him at all?
But now, he regrets it so much. But it's been years, and he barely even remembers Danyal's face. He didn’t tell his family bc he didn't want them to grieve over a family that was long dead. That was practically destroyed the moment he died, so there was nothing left of him. He has no memories of his brother either, only his name, so how could he offer comfort to the other bats when he couldn’t even tell some stories about him either?
The bats are now tied up by a cult, and Damian was in the center of the sacrificial circle.
The cult was summoning someone of Damian's deceased family or something like plot convenience for a summoning. To use them to fight against the bats bc how sad it would be bc they would have to fight against a dead family member that was controlled by them. Damian was struggling bc it could be anyone from the League.
Then, to his horror, it was his brother who was summoned. He was suspended in the air in a fetal position asleep, but he appeared transparent with a tail.
"Danyal" He said, horrified. He appeared older for some reason, but the instant he was summoned, he knew it was him.
Batman, who was trying to reach for Damian, stared at the sleeping ghost. He appeared similar to Damian and his mind did the mental math. He didn’t know exactly when did the ghost died, but judging by his age, he looked to be about the age Damian came to the Manor. And judging by how anguished Damian looked, he came to the right conclusion that the ghost was Damian's brother, his son.
He mourned. This was simultaneously the oldest and the youngest he would have ever seen.
That is also what the rest of the bat thinks and comes to the conclusion of. They broke out of their restrains due to fury and stuff, and the circle is erased, the ghost gone before they had a chance to use him against them.
Meanwhile, (pre-Ghost King maybe) Danny just jolted in bed, confused about what happened bc he had a feeling he turned into a ghost. But he shrugged it off and went back to sleep.
Danny had been following...ok, stalking his bio dad for a while now. He didn't have anywhere to go after Amity blew up and Clockwork just came out of no where almost a week after the initial incident to pretty much say, "Hey! You're adopted! Also you're a clone baby! This is the name and main alias of your parent and here's how you get to your home dimension!" Then he was gone.
Ancients.
Again, its not like he had anywhere to go and he had nothing better to do. So following around his fourteen year old father (his original?) and his scary bat mentor around a gross crime filled city at night seemed better than nothing. It felt kinda wierd calling him dad in his head but at the same time he didn't want to call him anything else. His inner Jazz said it might be his subconscious grasping for any safe or familial connections it can find, but whatever. He'll call him dad. Who will ever know?
He knows Clockwork told him not to interfere with any of the battles here. He was only ever meant to be a fly on the wall (actually he wasn't even supposed to be here but the old stopwatch couldn't really stop him) but it was so frustrating to see this Red Hood guy appear one day and start hurting his dad and not being able to do anything without exposing himself.
But nothing prepared him for the new Robin.
He hated the new Robin. He had everything Danny ever wanted and he chose to treat his family like that? The anger he felt towards RH was nothing compared to what he felt towards the new little bird. Damian would look around whenever he was alone, likely feeling they eyes on him from Phantoms intense glare. Good. He wanted the kid to know he was unwelcome.
Danny may have died at eight and become a superhero, but that didn't mean he couldn't hate another child vigilante if he was given enough reason to. Danny stopped aging after the explosion that ruined his afterlife and his inner Jazz had a lot of theories about that but in reality he knew why.
He had been waiting.
He knew the bats were mortal and one day Batman would be too old to fight and Robin -now Red Robin- would need a protégé of his own, right? Then he'd pop in and reveal himself as Tim Drakes long lost clone son and everything would be perfect.
Damian didn't just put a wrench in those plans. He ruined them entirely! If Batman is replaced by Damian than Red Robin will likely always be a sidekick.
And sidekicks don't need sidekicks of thier own.
So Phantom made it his afterlifes mission to make Damians stay in Gotham as miserable as possible to make him leave. He would make sure Damian would go back to whereever he came from at the first available opportunity, even if he had to possess the whole city to do it.

Danny took cover with some other kids in a nearby clothing store. The riddler was one of Batmans common rogues and was dangerous. He and the others watched in horror as a third party, likely a gang of some kind that didn't appreciate a hero battle on thier turf, stupidly fired a freaking rocket launcher at the two of them. The projectile missed the mark by a large margin and hit a nearby business tower, sending rubble and debris down of the two fighters. Riddler was quickly pinned while Batman eventually got pinned after a few really cool evasive maneuvers. Red Robin went to assist while Robin went to fight the gang members. A lucky shot from one of the gang members got RR in the leg, sending him down momentarily.
Danny managed to rally the other kids to help dig Batman and Riddler out from where they were trapped by stealing a bunch of black hoodies for them to wear and ripping up a black shirt for them to wear as blindfolds. They could see out of them just fine, but it would hide thier identities from all parties.
Together they rescued the pair and Danny silently rejoiced at helping Red Robin limp away and treat his wound at a safer location. As much as he wanted to let this interaction last, he knew he had to bouce once RR started asking him questions.
Phantom later looked at himself in the reflection of a piece of building material. He had been told before that a ghosts appearance could change based on significant events in thier afterlives. Seeing his former symbol on his chest had disappeared and the smooth crisp edges of the black blindfold that had materialized on his face he knew what had happened. And he knew he would do anything to be with his father again.
His efforts to get rid of Damian intensified.
Danny keeps getting summoned to Gotham of all places but it keeps happening at night while he's wearing his Red Robin Pajamas. Worse. He's getting summoned as Fenton.
The first time it happened Danny appeared in the summoning circle started and looked around to see Gothams vigilantes standing over some very knocked out cultists. He locks eyes with Red Robin and makes a face. "Well, this is embarrassing."
The problem is that this keeps happening. The forth time it happened he had been in the middle of brushing his teeth. He accused the bats of doing this on purpose before breaking the circle again and sending himself back. Each time Danny is summoned he's wearing a completely different set of RR pajamas. No one even knew there were that many variations of it.
Steph made a bet that "Tim's simp" probably has a RR themed bed. They found out when the kid gets summoned while asleep in bed. Tough luck for her, Dannys bed was star/constellation themed. The bats takes his fingerprints and DNA while he's out cold and find out who he is.
