Alaa has had her tumblr account terminated for the SECOND TIME, resulting in her being unable to continue her efforts to campaign for herself and her children at a VERY  crucial time. It should infuriate you to see this happen, especially in light of the recent smear campaign against palestinian gfms. We can assume now that many of the Palestinian blogs have been deactivated, because of baseless reports of being scams.

We CANNOT  let this fundraiser be stagnant.  Alaa and her two children are suffering from hepatitis, and malnutrition. Their lives are on the line and they need medical care ASAP! 

Her life wasn't always like this! Before October 7, Alaa led a peaceful life  with her family which consisted of her children, husband, in-laws and immediate family, but soon the nightmare began and came to a head on October 28, when her neighborhood got bombed in its entirety. 

Alaa escaped certain death that night as her house collapsed and trapped her family in. Debris choked them all, and they had to be rescued from under the rubble and shattered glass. Alaa describes what she witnessed that night as "unimaginable"- death, corpses and blood, surrounded the family. 

Even after this tragedy, the pain did not let up and chased them to the Rimal neighborhood. The bombing continued and Alaa had to put wet masks on Maria and Hamza, so that the children could endure the terrible smoke and burning smell. Things got so bad throughout the next few months that Hamza who is only 3 years old, now talks only of bombings, rockets and tanks. 

I want to remind you that Maria, Alaa's little daughter, has contracted hepatitis after being displaced for the third time, where they had to flee to Rafah. Being overcrowded, one can only access shared bathrooms which are primary causes of such viral infections. The children have suffered from epidemics and skin diseases, and the little tent Alaa has managed to acquire can barely sustain life in summer heat 

On top of that, there is hardly any nutritious food and clean drinking water- which means that at one point, the family had to survive on weeds and bread made from animal feed. I cannot tell you how horrible this is! How Alaa and her children still suffer even now. In fact, at the moment of writing this post, Alaa  messaged me about her tent shaking due to bombings nearby. 

So I urge you not to ignore her, please, and help her reach her short term goal of 6K within the next 2 days !!

“i mean i know ‘samu makes rice balls for a living now, but i’m sure he could do a wedding cake.”

rintarou has been in your ear for the past fifteen minutes, mumbling about whether or not osamu could pull off three whole tiers of cake while also making it taste good.

he really thinks it’s a no brainer, as if onigiri and wedding cake go hand in hand—if you know how to make one, surely the other is under your belt as well. he used to help his mom in the kitchen when he was a kid so, obviously he would know.

the only thing is—you’re not engaged, and you don’t plan to be anytime soon.

“rin, seriously?” you scoff, leaning back against the edge of the countertop.

you’re at his mom’s place for a little family dinner—something she loves to do every once in a while to catch up with her son. you’ve just finished your meal, and rintarou being the angel he is, offered to clean up—but not without your company, of course.

“what? it’d save us some money,” he says, diving a hand into the soapy water filling the sink.

“your grandma was just bugging us,” you hum—swirling the dark liquid in your glass around. “she knows we’re not ready for marriage.”

this was your very first time meeting her, and it’s safe to say you weren’t expecting such a loaded question mid meal. so, when are you two getting married? her words had the tips of rintarou’s ears turning pink, and made his sister howl like a dog, because the thought of someone liking her older brother enough to want to marry him was truly hilarious.

he kicked her shins under the table—a glimpse of the petty little boy you had always heard stories about. he did his best to get his grandmother off your backs as well, giving her a cliché answer—something along the lines of we’re both young, and just trying to focus on college right now.

he was in such a damn hurry to drop the subject—and now, he won’t shut up about it.

“okay, but,” he pauses, swiping a hand against the bottom of the sink to check for any stragglers. “he’s young and stupid now, there’s no way he knows how much a wedding cake costs. we can lowball him, get a good deal.”

“you think he’s that stupid?” you snort—having a little more faith in osamu than your boyfriend does.

“hope so,” he mutters, gesturing for you to toss him the hand towel sitting behind you. “he is related to atsumu, after all.”

“wow,” you gawk, “and you call yourself a friend.”

“i’m just looking out for us,” he shrugs, using the fabric to dry his hands. “bet ‘tsumu would do it for free if we asked right now.”

“he’s not going anywhere near our wedding cake,” you say, noting the way rintarou does a thorough wipe down of the counters—hm, so he does know how to clean. “not until it’s served on a plate for him to eat, at least.”

“good point,” he agrees, tossing his cloth over the tap and shuffling over to you. “but you have to admit, the guy’s pretty damn unstoppable when he puts his mind to something.”

“sure,” you hum, looping your arms around his neck and lacing your fingers together. “but you know rin, once you go pro, we won’t even have to worry about the cost of a wedding cake.”

“and if i don’t?” he asks—throwing the possibility out there. it’s something he’s thought about, but never voiced concern over.

“you will, trust me,” you say, pressing a kiss to his lips, soft and sweet—a promise of your word. “but if for some reason you don’t, we’ll beg the twins for a family and friends discount.”

“deal,” he laughs, pulling you flush against him for a hug—and you think to yourself, that when you leave tonight, you’ll love him a little more than when you arrived—if it’s even possible.

you enjoy the moment briefly, until you hear a pair of feet padding in the other direction—someone was listening?

“you seriously thought i wouldn’t catch you disobeying me?” he rhetorically asks when he sees you trying to get off of the counter as soon as you hear his footsteps in the corridor. obviously he doesn’t just stay there with his arms crossed but instead tells you to hold on to his arms to help you get down. surprisingly enough, he doesn’t really scold you for your recklessness... and you understand why the next day. it’s only 7am and morning sickness is what wakes you up, but you only get out of bed after realizing iwa isn’t next to you. and clearly you didn’t expect to see him sitting in the kitchen surrounded by wooden planks and metallic tools. “what?” he asks in front of your surprised expression, then explains himself very naturally: “these shelves are obviously out of reach for you, i have to rebuild them”

— SUNA

he knows you want to prove that you’re still capable of doing everything you used to do; and that’s why, after grabbing what you needed on the shelf, he has no choice but to threaten you in his own way: “if i ever catch you doing this kind of shit again, no more belly rubs for you, understood?”. but in fact he did catch you ‘doing this shit again’ a few days later... and your belly was still thoroughly rubbed that same evening. sat between his legs with a satisfied smile spread on your lips, you watched him point a finger at your belly: “now listen up, little one” he started with a very serious tone “don’t you dare be a stubborn baby, because i won’t be able to handle two of you... i can barely handle one”. chuckling at his words, you laid your head on his shoulder and grabbed his hand to put it back on your belly, “don’t worry, i think you handle me perfectly well, rin”

— ATSUMU

unlike iwaizumi, it’s through words that atsumu calmly communicates you his concern. “BABY WHAT’RE YA DOIN’??! ARE YA OUT OF YER MIND? WHAT IF TSUMU JUNIOR GETS HURT, HUH?”. but as soon as he sees you trying to get off that chair on your own, he runs to you with his arms stretched out in front of him. “for the last time, we’re not calling our baby tsumu junior” you reprimand him as he carefully carries you to the couch, where he sits down to put your legs on his lap. “but think about it!” he exclaims, “that way ya won’t ever have to say ‘i love ya’ to someone whose name isn’t atsumu...”. you roll your eyes, amused, and point out that he seems to have already thought everything through. and his answer is the same as usual: “well what else’m i supposed to think about if it’s not the two of ya?”

suddenly this smart mouth loses the ability to string more than two words together: “wow- wait! wha-hold up, don’t- you shouldn’t-”. in other terms, he’s panicking. “relax, tetsu. i’m ok” you try to calm him down as he carries you to help you get down from that chair with a worried look in his eyes. “what’s the point of having a tall husband if you’re still trying to reach the shelves on your own?!” he asks after making sure you’re safe and sound. hearing that, you flash him a smile that you know he won’t be able to resist, before wrapping your arms tightly around his waist: “this”. and you were right, as much as he’s still upset about what just happened, he really can’t resist that smile. “ok you got me there”, he chuckles, but promises himself to actually lecture you after the hug...

— KITA

a single glare from kita is enough to make you understand that you’re in trouble. big time. but as usual he doesn’t even raise his voice, which might even be worse... “what did i tell ya?” he asks once you have both feet on the floor. at first you don’t think that he actually expects an answer, but he absolutely does. so you give it to him, almost reciting it by heart: “if you ever need something, call me before doing anything stupid”. he nods approvingly, but you still feel the need to defend yourself, telling him that you didn’t want to bother him while he was busy outside. “whatever it is that i’m doin’ outside, it can’t be more important than not lettin’ ya get hurt”, he replies before outstretching his arm to grab two chocolate bars on the shelf: “i guess this is what ya wanted?”, he asks in a softer tone before putting them in your hand with a gentle smile. “you know me too well shin”, you mirror his smile, placing a quick peck on his lips.
