The first time I read The Foxhole Court I legitimately thought that Kevin was the love interest… I love andreil and they will always be endgame for me, but I admire the fact that there are so many possible ship combinations in the aftg-verse.
the pseudo-old friends dynamic they have will always have me in a chokehold
love this because every kevneil interaction is basically some iteration of this. arguing and bickering and kevin insisting on neil's talent even while he insults him with every breath. legends.
ah yes, the sixth love language. exy.
zesty ahh dialogue
kevin watching neil hhhhhh
can you believe andrew had to witness this. and HE is the one neil ends up with. crazy work.
tfc kevneil was real
insane that neil was staring at kevin so much that nicky thought neil had a crush on him
the best thing about kevneil is that it's a bitch4bitch dynamic
honestly neil is stronger than me i probably would've decked him for this
kevneil my favourite bully romance
kevin day they could never make me hate you
my favourite aesthetic is kevin day seeing the potential in the most unlikely of people
they have such a unique dynamic of hatred/obsession/admiration/devotion/animosity/intimacy it fascinates me
the fact that neil never once just punches kevin in the face is the true miracle of aftg
scene of all time.
but they understand each other so deeply what the fuck
the way neil had such big hopes for all the foxes it's such an underrated part of the series
i fear the og offence line had the funniest dynamic ever argue with the wall
my favourite animal is neil in columbia
"time to collect what's mine" ok kevin
do i even need to say it
kevin putting a hand on neil's shoulder blade and gently pushing him. wow. big day for annoying people like me.
thinking about "i hate you" "you don't" and "i absolutely hate you" jean said. kevin shrugged that off, unmoved by such a transparent lie.
thinking about this today.
my favourite animal is neil defending kevin from r*ko
"leave him alone" and "kevin caught his arm to stop him" FOAMING AT THE MOUTHHHH
AHHHHHHH
kevin “go on, shout, scream, say something” day & jean “you’re as beautiful as the day i lost you” moreau
who up feminizing their kevin days aha
This was the literal wording of what he said. It’s canon to me.
Jeremy: She's pretty, right?
Translation: Is she prettier than me?
Jean Moreau really said my favourite colour is the colour of his eyes- I can’t with these gay ass bitches ahhh
Because he's been meme-ified a lot over the years, I feel the need to point out how smart he is. I mean, yes, he comes across as this feral, impulsive sort of character (and he has a lot of dumb energy, lol), but he's also really logical and precise. I love how complex and multilayered his character is. Nora did such a fabulous job writing him.
my favorite scene in all of literature is when Neil Josten wakes up in Columbia after being drugged, hurls an alarm clock at Aaron, dumps his water on the floor and throws the cup at Aaron, stuff his clothes down the toilet and squeezes out through the window, has the foresight to call Matt from a pay phone to protect his shit, hitch hikes back to campus, eyes back to brown?? shows up on Wymack’s door like 😜 and reveals he could speak German the whole time?? CHARACTER OF ALL TIME, that is a protagonist who knows how MOVE THE MFING PLOT ALONG
something about jean having to live under the ground in the nest for so long but the people he loves are from the sky
renee is a rainbow. kevin is a star. jeremy is the sun.
JEREMY KNOX
Neil choosing Andrew means everything to me. No one ever chose Andrew for who he is. His own mother gave him away and kept his brother. His whole life, Andrew had to bargain with promises and violence just to keep people close.
And then there’s Neil Josten with his stupid big Bambi eyes and a heartbeat like a rabbit in a trap. And he isn’t interested in anyone but Andrew. Just Andrew.
It’s like the universe is trying to apologize, awkwardly patting Andrew on the back and tying a bow around Neil’s head like some kind of peace offering.
I’m screaming. I’m in agony. I have so many feelings about them I'm about to throw up.
