recently was informed that a former classmate and friend of mine believes that i didn’t earn my internship that im currently at through merit… i could speculate as to how exactly he thinks i got it, but i do know that he thinks i took advantage of something (?) to get it and didnt earn it through my work. so that’s really cool. good to know misogyny is alive and well in my government as well as my social circle…

do i have to be ugly to be allowed success? if im pretty and unsuccessful am i a bimbo? if i’m the wrong type of pretty and successful am i a manipulator? if im ugly and unsuccessful am i worthless? do women have to be the right amount of attractive and the right amount of successful to be deserving of respect? hmmmmmmmmm

My name is Kariman Dohan, I am 25 years old. I was a committed and diligent teacher, and my husband, Ayman Olwan, 30 years old, is a business administration graduate, but due to unemployment and difficult conditions in Gaza, he was forced to work as a fisherman. We have a wonderful son named Hamoud, who is one and a half years old. We live in Gaza, specifically Khan Yunis, where the fishing boat, fishing equipment and the school where I worked were damaged🥹🫂💔😭😭😭😭

I learned that Sudanese girls are being married off to the soldiers that raped them. I learned that Sudanese women are largely survivors of fgm and have become survivors of rape. I learned that husbands are leaving their wives who are raped by RSF and that hospitals are being harassed by RSF and pressured to reject patients who were raped. And these reports are extensive and the testimonies are heart shattering
