I feel very passionately about this. I need more Max and Steph friendship content.

Need them growing from that surface-level popular group friendship to genuinely connecting with each other.

If you’re into Michie, or ig this could also work for any Max x nerd ship, you could make them bond over liking a nerd. Steph would be gushing about Pete and Max would be absolutely disgusted with himself for relating to it.

Need an AU where they were super good friends and Max made certain that she didn’t know how awful he was. And instead of pulling the prank, what humbles him is losing the only person that he was actually, truly close with. He becomes friends with the nerds just to get her to forgive him, but he ends up actually liking them.

Tbh I really like the last one, might make a follow-up post about that. Point is, their dynamic would be cool and they have lots of potential. Steph would be good at humbling him and I think he would be less stand-off-ish because she’s not a nerd or whatever. Food for thought

Arospec Grace accidentally(or purposefully ig?) using Max and mistreating him. He’s head over heals, super touchy and kind of gross, and she’s just completely indifferent. If you really hate Max you could make him aspec. Classic toxic relationship right there.

Maybe they both have redemption arcs and realize they just make eachother worse. They’re in love and they have never been less happy than they are together.

Or: One has a redemption arc/gets therapy, the other goes the complete opposite direction.

Grace actually becomes friends with the nerds after Max dies in the Waylon Place. Almost canon-compliant, but she starts to feel bad for what they did to Max, and when he comes back it kills her what they have to do. She manipulates him and uses the trust that she already violated once to get rid of him for good. Or maybe she just can’t bring herself to do it. Bad ending 👎

Max makes nice with the nerds after surviving the prank. Grace somehow gets her hands on the black book, and tells Max about her evil plans. He’s still in love with her so he doesn’t really try to stop her or stand up to her, trusting her to make the right choice like he did, until it’s too late.

As a big fan of the theory the LiB were appearing as the dead in NPMD I understand the knee jerk reaction of saying it was Mark Chasity that tinky was piloting, that he died after going to the Waylon place, it gives Grace some angst, I totally get it

I feel like if Richie ever introduced Max to Stardew Valley, he would quickly turn that cute little farming game into a war campaign.

Like they would just be sitting there on the couch, playing together on the tv. On Richie’s side, he’s peacefully farming away and decorating the land outside of the house, while also trying to complete the community center. Occasionally, he’ll go down into the mines to get supplies.

On Max’s side, he’s sweating. Hands are clammy. Moms spaghetti. His character’s health bar is at 5%, and he’s frantically eating whatever he can to give him stamina. Theres monsters surrounding him from every corner. He’s babbling and cursing as he swings around his sword, frantically collecting stone and ore. He’s died sixteen times. Harvey hates him. On his side of the farm, he has three coops filled with dinosaurs. He loves them all equally.

After this I’m gonna stop posting these one at a time and instead post them in chunks I swear !!
