An unedited dream written when possible…..
[old text entry before NXT-9 (non existent time-9]
A piece of fiction written before writing to warm up the ink.
They used nostalgia as a weapon of war. Pleasure became a burden; the intoxicated fueled by liquid courage were dealt with swiftly. An oracle, a Skykeeper speaks as to the possibility of an Archangel achieving the lost rite of passage;
“They’re not their words. The distractions keep them at bay”… “It has never happened. It will not happen. Failure. Excuses. Its hard wired into them.”
From the ground their assumptions are shattered. Known Sky Keepers represent “That which known must be accomplished yet remains ignored”. The wind screams. A crown but no face arrives. The ninth sky keeper stands…..
“His journey has ended? It is just beginning. You speak of distractions!?! All of you; fools! Why the illusion rather than the wisdom possessed? Blasphemy!”
Freewill had prevailed amongst the world below. Unwritten tales and his own people who’ve betrayed him. It’s alarming observing so many once held in high regard reduced to nothing yet still retain access to truth. Age is not a prerequisite if lucky enough to tether wisdom.
Skykeeper-9 knows what must be done, his eyes closed, his crown for the first time angled and dim; words fade in as he pulls himself out of the connection… [words are spoken without permission] “He is promising. The igniting this fire requires more than a spark, He is at this moment one man. A single individual. We see this every cycle.”
Eyes open, a glance from SK-9 sealed his fate leaving eight in silence. Banishment for speaking. Again the King speaks; words but no face:
“The man below defied your assumptions oracle. If he is chosen by the illustrious above we must open the velvet book leaving you between realms”
“Permission to speak? Perhaps I just sealed my fate. Perhaps not, although we’ve been here before and time has shown it’s favor towards our five”
Arrogance cannot hide his fear. His silence. Forearm muscles dance as he watches his words crumble. His sharpened iron is heard by Sk-9, ice inside the sheath.
To reach the holy river following trauma sends an unexpected message that they were not ready to receive. “Never have they made it through the forest of despair.” Not only did his light provide for them while surrounded by darkness, he didn’t even refill his water. To emerge unscathed is a feat upon itself but to not refresh thy water? Was it a sign of disrespect or discipline? These were individuals who thrive off of each others vanity. They couldn’t defend themselves with decorated illusions. It is apparent he was chosen and the illustrious know that now. He shouldn’t have said that. Prove me wrong and After suffering in silence beyond the duration, his aura shines like a single number in age.” (Attention shifts from expecting defeat to accepting fear as the watchers knew opium wouldn’t distract them all into throwing their dreams aside.)
A time will come when they are no longer needed and this knowledge, although never spoken amongst each other, tarnishes the mind. Past due is the time for anew. (Distractions arise when thinking of them individually; the skeletons) “Remember they are all the same (he repeats with eyes closed before treading farther). A thought calms through his surroundings. King finally meets peasant and when no difference is observed, the light ignites…
There is only one path and I observe knowing the end is just beginning. “He’s the first person to safely reach the holy crossing (Attention shifts from routine to fear amongst the now 7 Skykeepers) Never shall the hedonists, cursed by opíum trauma chains possess restraint through willpower. This is not a man. The suffering is too great for it to be. There is a halo forming. He is the one.
