If this is the first post you’ve seen of my Akashi series for Alpha/Betas/Omegas I’ll bring you up to speed. An Akashi much like the Kagune from Tokyo Ghoul are extra appendages that are located on a persons back. All dynamics have them but they are different depending on which Dynamic you are. I already made a post about an Alpha’s Akashi called the Bukishi (meaning “weapon limb”) here:
Today we’ll be talking about Beta’s Akashi called the Kazashi (meaning “multi limb”).
The Kazashi are 4 snake like tentacles that are extremely flexible and elastic. They can also stretch to great distances are strong enough to lift an entire car off the ground and hold it in midair.
Betas have evolved this way to because through the history of the dynamics Betas have always been the ones who had to multitask and manage many things at a time. Also to keep other dynamics at bay and restrain them if need be. Betas are the strategists of the pack, and in very early years were pack leaders due to their intelligence, their discovery of fire, and being the first dynamic to create and utilize tools. Due to having to manage the pack Betas were given an Akashi that allowed them to do many tasks at the same time.
A special skill of the Kazashi is its ability to break its 4 tentacles into multiple smaller tentacles. They may not be as strong as 4 big tentacles but to complete smaller tasks it provides Betas with much convenience.
Something I've seen under-discussed is the fact that in an Omegaverse setting, names would probably be sorted not just as male/female but as alpha/beta/omega as well. Names would be more dynamic, as names commonly go from masculine/feminine to neutral in our world, but they would stay generally consistent.
Here's what gender I think each of the top 100 American baby names of 2025 would be, sorted by vibes and vibes alone. The names in bold are names that I 100% think would be used only for that dynamic, and would seem weird on any of the others.

Okay so you know how people are always asking how Omegas nest in countries were it’s hotter? Okay, so I came up with an idea, and I don’t really know how realistic or doable it actually is, BUT I think it’s not so ludicrous that it cannot be achieved under any circuntances. So what I suggest is: Wicker cages/domes.
Now I know I’m far from a good artist, but I think you can get the general idea, right? It’s a dome woven out of hay, wood strips, straw, etc. And it’s woven in a way that has these gaps between the rows, thus allowing for the air to get in and out, this way it doesn’t overheat.
I’m not a great physics student either so idk if it would actually work or not, and I don’t know if one could reasonably carry it around with ease, but I’ll assume it’s not that heavy. So like, plus side is that you can move it indoors or outdoors. Down side, it may not be as private because of the gaps and all that, but hey it could be like not on the ground if you’d prefer. Like have it as a whole circle (or any other shape you’d like, really), and then have it hanging from a tree or the ceiling. Like an enourmous human nest version of those overpriced artisy lamp-thingies.
I thought it also doubled as a good cultural headcanon as well. Like different regions have different techniques and traditions on how, with what material and when to make it. Maybe it’s a family thing, maybe it’s a couting thing, maybe it’s part of a rite of passage. You can really put your own headcanons into it.
This is a good alternative that I found, but idk, give me y’alls opinions on it.
I get the appeal of having that one character who's the token "normie" and doesn't have as much weird quirks and interests compared to their friends, but I disagree with any ddlc "Everyone lives and is happy and hanging out together" au that makes Monika that friend. Let her be silly!
She has a bunch of weird skills and when asked about any of them she just goes "Oh yeah, my parents signed me up for classes when I was like, eleven." She likes cult classic movies and books and could rant about them for hours. She's very involved with social and politic issues and likes philosophy but never talks about any of this because she's scared to be seen as pretentious. She has a bunch of weirdly specific playlists and one of them is just songs from musicals, some of them being extremely obscure.
She likes games where you can build and take care of things, both for the relaxition and for the fun of playing god. She dissociates and overthinks a lot and one of the few things that calm her down is coffee, while milk and tea strangely make her more hyper and speed up her mind. She watches kid shows with silly "Be yourself, you're perfect just the way you are" messages when she's upset. She has a pinterest addiction.
She texts like a mom (cute emojis, not always understanding abreviations) and jokes like a dad (all her favorite jokes are puns from one of those joke books). She snorts when she laughs too hard. She doesn't know how to ride a bike. She owns a record player and prefers to listen to her music that way. She's a plant mom. She collects seashells, pressed flowers and wooden toys. She plays with legos. She needs glasses but refuses to wear them.
Do you think changing rooms and bathrooms are segregated as “alpha” “beta” “omega” or do you think they will be all together? I have seen lots of places just have everything all together. Would omegas feel comfortable changing with stranger Alphas around?
Hey! So everyone’s omegaverse is different, but for me at least places tend to be all together. It would probably be too difficult for store owners and schools to keep things separated by alpha beta and omega. The only time I would think they would be separated would be if one of the dynamics is in danger if near the others.
I would say that omegas and maybe even betas will feel some sort of discomfort or fear of being in such a vulnerable position around the stronger dynamic. One place I think of that is all together but the dynamics may be uncomfortable is a school locker room especially around the time that the teens begin their first heats and ruts.
Hope that answered your question!

Omegas
The internal protectors. Omegas take care of the inner problems of the pack such as (but not limited to) emotional/instinctual issues, infighting, reproduction, and monitoring pack health and mating cycles. They also make major decisions in the pups' education. Stereotyped as weak and emotional.
Defining Traits
Submissive
Vigilant
Titles
Pack Mom- oldest or chosen omega with top authority on the inner workings of the pack.
The Heart- often given to an omega in a pack where there is only one omega.
Ommy (Oh-mee or Aw-mee)- equivalent to a parental title but used by all pups in the pack rather than just their own children. Usually (but not always) paired with the omega’s name, for example, Ommy Charlie.
Betas
The collaborative protectors. Betas can assist in internal and external problems but also manage relations with other packs, delegating pack responsibilities, and pack resources. Betas have traits of alphas and omegas as well as their own characteristics, and because of this, usually pack responsibilities vary incredibly from beta to beta. Stereotyped as dull and useless.
Defining Traits
Levelheaded
Strong-willed
Titles-
Pack Link- Given to the top-ranking beta. Usually determined by dedication and attentiveness to the pack and pack issues by the pack leader. Note: Not every pack has a titled Link.
Bebby (Beh-bee)- equivalent to a parental title but used by all pups in the pack rather than just their own children. Often (but not always) paired with the beta’s name, for example, Bebby Nico.
Alphas
The external protectors. Alphas handle exterior elements the pack may face such as (but not limited to) outside threats, physical protection, and pack territory. Alphas used to be the main breadwinners of the pack, but as times have shifted, so has this responsibility, and it is now more equally shared among different dynamics. Stereotyped as aggressive and violent.
Defining Traits
Dominant
Protective
Titles
Pack Alpha: Given to the highest ranking alpha in the pack, usually determined by age or time in pack.
Sentry- A title given to the strongest and/or most trusted alphas by the pack mom or pack leader. In smaller packs, usually only one, in larger packs, up to five. Note: This title has no relevance to hierarchy.
Abby (Ah-bee)- equivalent to a parental title but used by all pups in the pack rather than just their own children. Often (but not always) paired with the alpha’s name, for example, Abby Cole.
Notes:
The title of Pack Leader can be given to any dynamic.
These are the extreme bare bones of dynamics and there will be nuances in the roles a person will have depending on the pack.
An Akashi much like the Kagune from Tokyo Ghoul are extra appendages that are located on a persons back.
(Image from Ceru_Draws on Twitter)
A Bukishi is a tail like appendage that can be molded and shaped into anything the Alpha desires at will (spear, sword, hammer, armour, fist, shield, axe). It is a short range Akashi and is ejected at the lower back (I know it is not in the image but pretend that it is). Evolved that way in order to protect their pack. Their Akashi are the biggest, heaviest and most sturdy which is why the Alphas are as tall, big, and strong as they are. Usually are on the frontlines in battles.
A technique passed down by Alphas that uses the Akashi in 4 unique ways.
The hardest to master and after use the Alpha will be unable to use their Akashi for 24-hours. Their muscles will also be sore.
People tend not to see breasts as sexual. A bra is more like an aid that supports breasts than covering breasts.
The skin on people's neck is basically thick because of marking. Still, Betas' canines are long, so Beta's marking often cause big wounds.
Big nostrils have once been the standard for beauty, and people say that small noses look tactless.

Today we’ll be going over the final dynamic, Omegas and their Akashi called the Haneshi (meaning “winged limb”).
Art by @AquaticNaho on Twitter
The Haneshi are a set of four bird-like wings the eject out of an Omegas back. The Haneshi has many feathers and the color/pattern those feathers have vary from person to person and region to region.
The Haneshi allows Omegas to fly at incredible speeds, allowing them to keep up with a commercial airplane that flies at around 550 and 600 mph. Their ability to fly allows Omegas to keep their children/pups out of harms way to flee if they are forced to.
The edge of the Haneshi is very sharp and could cut down multiple tress at once if an Omega were to fly through a forest.
The Haneshi can also be used as a shield to protect them and their children/pups from enemies. It also provides them with a height advantage over other dynamics.
Finally, the Haneshi can shoot out from its front spikes that paralyze the part of the body it hits. This effect is instant and lasts for a few hours even after the spike is removed.
It was my first time writing something like this so I hope I did alright
⊱ you often have library dates but even more often you just borrow a book form library and have your date in home
⊱ on your home dates Yuri would make tea and Natsuki would sometimes make cupcakes
⊱ in facts Natsuki teaches all of you how to bake good cupcakes which often looks like this: Monika is paying attention, Yuri is panicking because she think she messed up, Sayori eats ingredients, Natsuki is trying to teach while scolding Sayori and you're doing your things
⊱ you also have some more fun dates, like going to amusement park or at the beach if it's summer or you go ice-skating when it's winter
⊱ Yuri is calm one in your relationship and always get you all out of trouble, and she also gives you amazing book reviews you all love when she rambles without realizing it
"and so that's why I think character was completely ruined in that book. ... Oh wait, was I rambling again?! I'm so sorry..."
"Don't worry Yuri, we all appreciate it! Can you borrow me this book? It sounds interesting!"
⊱ Natsuki is... well still her usual self, classic tsundere but that doesn't mean she doesn't get affectionate, she just expresses it secretly
"Are you really gonna cuddle again?! That's 3rd time today!"
"Do you want to join us?"
"... Make some space for me"
⊱ Sayori is really just a sunshine in your relationship, it's her who gives you the most date ideas, but she can have her down moments too...
"Sayori, are you okay? I heard you crying..."
"Don't worry about it YN! I'm all alrighty!"
"I know you're not..."
⊱ and finally Monika is the one who also get you out of trouble when Yuri can't, she's in overall very supportive of all of you
⊱ she also works hard to make Yuri believe in herself more
⊱ and she somehow always knows when someone gives one of you hard time
"Hey Natsuki, you know I don't like to bring it up but... did your dad gave you some trouble lately?"
"Wha-?! Ehh... nothing hides from you, does it?"
