some days ago i found myself pointing to a pdf about italy's influence in german literature while listening to schubert; it was half past midnight; my best friend, my only listener, was making exasperated grimaces. have some cute gerita
armand and marius as described in tvl (more or less)
thank you so much @hercorrupterofwords for the tag 💌💌
last song: sat in your lap by kate bush
last book: modern architecture by otto wagner because today i had an exam of contemporary architecture. and before wagner le corbusier. and before le corbusier loos. i love contemporary architecture but i am a bit tired i confess
last movie: 2023 renfield. i had to counterbalance nosferatu. it's trash but it's trash made with love and i enjoyed it more than i expected to. also i am a renfield/knock girlie since i was 14
last TV show: probably the death note 2015 drama? months ago
sweet/savory/spicy: spicy
relationship status: single and frankly more confused than ever by the intricacies of human relationships
last thing I looked up on the internet: ineffable space: le corbusier's colour schemes for the monastery sainte marie de la tourette
current obsession: death note
looking forward to: sleep......

sketchy pentheus because sir that’s my emotional support assholeÂ
question not related to art (yet):
lately i have been reading the dionysiaca by nonnus and just yesterday i have reached the part in which actaeon's myth is told. nonnus makes acteaeon climb a tree in order to spy on artemis, and i wanted to ask - how popular is this element in this myth? because it is very clear that here nonnus intends to draw as many parallels between actaeon and pentheus as possible (as he should) and if i remember correctly in ovid there are no mentions of actaeon climbing a tree. does someone knows any other classical versions in which this element is present?
thank you in advance
finally i’ve finished reading It Devours! and i loved it... the part in which kevin describes his meeting with the smiling god was hilarious and i wanted to draw something related (also centipedes are super fun to draw)
12 – Henry Winter & Camilla Macaulay (The Secret History)
I’ve previously sent Fawkes but I couldn’t resist as I’ve been seeing your other challenges and are so beautiful ðŸ˜ðŸ’ž.
I’ve had a lot of fun drawing them, thank you for the request! 🌹✨
i wanted to draw a background of some sort and a tiny theatre scene seemed like a good idea :)
dear people who follow me, a heartfelt thank you for all the support you have given me this year!! i do not have a big audience, but i’m honest when i say that i am extremely grateful for how thoughtful and kind the one i have is. i read every comment and message that you leave under my paintings, and they really make me feel happy about my art and comfortable with experimenting with new subjects and styles. i feel that in this moment of my life both my art style and the concepts behind my pieces are switching to something more deliberate, and i’m excited at the prospect to explore this new creative path in 2024 and to share the results with you
may the new year bring you clarity and serenity. thank you again 💌
