Trying to get back in the studying mood is the hardest part of studying.
There's still time left until my midterms, but I don't want to cram a lot right before the exams, so I'm trying to get back on track. Productivity level is remarkably low.
Any advice on getting motivated to study?
Quiet corner to study at campus š³
march 29th, 2025 || last weekend before classes start again so i treated myself to brunch at the bookstore cafe :)
No matter how busy you may think you are, you must findĀ timeĀ forĀ reading, or surrender yourself to self-chosen ignorance.

happy sunday!!! slept in, worked out, had a long journal session and breakfast in a cafĆ©, and now Iām back at home resting before my PM duty, while the laundry machine purrs and the basketball game plays on tv. I am at peace, I am happy. no dark clouds for the first time in months. things get better.

Learning is not slowing down, itās constant change! If you want to be great, you need to keep learning.
i finished babel last week and only managed to recently finish annotating because i needed time to digest everything that happened in the book š„²šā¤ļøā𩹠. babelās a masterpiece. i loved the book from the beginning till the end. the diverse characters are amazing, the dark academia setting/atmospheric writing is stunning, and tying all this with the whole plot being focused on the power of language and translation is just exquisite. this is one of the best books iāve ever read š so many books that iāve read this hear have been so amazing š„¹āØ what is a book that youāve recently read and loved? https://www.instagram.com/p/CklBX86vPAd/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Just because you have to study to achieve your dreams doesn't mean it can't be enjoyable
College has been a whole process for me. I did not know how to study, i did not know how to put effort into the right things, and most importantly, i did not know how to accept that my actions (or lack of) were the problem.
It took me years, but I've learned to accept that it's ok for me to need to study to be good when it comes to a subject, that college is a place for learning, not for being instantly good at something.
And now i can finally say that, without the subconscious frustration, i truly do enjoy learning new things, studying new subjects, and studying for the sake of knowing more, not just to pass exams.
It takes work, but it's all worth it.
you're getting distracted again. focus.
drink a cup of water, tie your hair up, pull on your comfiest clothes, get your desk clean and ready, print out past papers, set your notes out, turn your laptop on, turn off all distractions, take out your stationary, open your books, take a deep breath, and just start.
I chose to waste time in a way I like, and everything aesthetic fills my soul
