Study study study
In two days it's my birthday and I'm stuck studying for exams :(
However, coloring the heck out of my books is helping with my morale (and the little doodles are also helping)
I will not lie, i tried to draw the opossum from memory. I discovered i dont know what an opossum looks like :)

I watched a documentary yesterday about an Irish poet and it reminded me how as I child, I wanted to make documentaries like these. Portraits of people and their craft and the places that made them who they are today. I suppose writing fiction is the closest I got to this childhood dream. Watching the Irish landscapes on my screen made me long for a life that was different to the one I was leading now and more certain of spending my September in Scotland.

And so, the simplest things bring me the most joy
Remember what life is all about
I was so concerned with my final year of college, finals, entry exams, that it felt like i was going through life head bowed, just walking on autopilot and staring only at the ground
I need to remember to enjoy life more often
The exams will be there, the time will pass anyway
So i choose to spend my free time remembering that there's life outside of university and the oh-so-important future
Smell the flowers, sit in the sun, go for a walk in the rain, watch children play, dance in your room, feed some ducks or squirrels (do some research about what is ok to feed them beforehand though)
Remember what life is really about
Taking breaks is essential to a productive study session
Take a break. You'll waste more time trying to process information with a tired brain than you'd "waste" taking a brain to clear you mind and help the information settle.
After an exam, I've always found it hard to get right back into studying, even if it's for another course (maybe even worse when doing a big switch between unrelated courses).
I have a golden rule of not studying during exam days - not before the exam (it only makes me more anxious and less focused) and not after the exam (brain is mush at that point).
3/6 exams to go
I highly recommend it.
While studying for this class right before exams, every time i felt like i needed a break i would make a tiny drawing.
Now my book is full of this type of lil guys.
I am once again going through this book and thought that I'd share the doodles that kept me sane(debatable) during exam season.
My birthday was this week.
Spent it in Paris with friends - best birthday so far
