Herrah the Beast has accepted the role as one of the Dreamers, but only under one condition: The Pale King is to bear a child with her. Desperate to get the final Dreamer in his plans, the King accepts, but quickly finds that this deal would entail much more than he initially anticipated.
Another dreamer fanfic~ Though keep in mind this one is M-rated, so proceed with caution before reading!
Despite the confident, outward persona she projects, Herrah actually has a very low opinion of herself. This is a result of being called "the Beast," not just by Hallownest but even the Deepnest spiders before she became queen.
When Herrah met her future husband, she did not realize he was the King of Deepnest, as she'd never been near the village nor socialized with any of the "normal" spiders of Deepnest. He didn't mention it to her for the longest time because he liked being treated like a normal person, and worried her knowing would change her attitude towards him.
Herrah's passion towards leading the people has sprung from two different places: --It was her husband's pride and joy. He loved his people and that love extended to Herrah once she married him. She looks after her people as a way to honor her late husband --She has very closely tied her worth to her ability to be a good queen. She gets very insulted when someone questions her as a leader.
Herrah is a very proficient warrior. Her skills were built from the ground up, as she had to live most of her life on her own. She's become a master of fighting, hunting, tracking, etc.
Before she met her husband, Herrah had no aspirations. She believed "the Beast" couldn't have the luxury of dreaming for anything bigger than the life she had.
After meeting her husband, Herrah begins dreaming of having a happy, loving family. She knows it sounds corny and wouldn't admit it aloud to anyone she wasn't close to.
She blames herself for her husband's bloodline ending. She was never able to produce an heir for him, and so her most vital role as queen was never delivered. There are some days she wishes he took a mistress just so his bloodline could live on.
Wheeze
I added Hornet and Quirrel to Stream Avatars and made them fight so I could check to make sure their animations were working properly.
Let me tell you, nothing's more hilarious than watching Quirrel run for his life while Hornet is chasing him down.
Herrah the Beast has been invited to the Teacher's Archive to meet Monomon. Accepting the invite, Herrah finds herself at the doors of the towering building in Fog Canyon. When confronted with the Archivist herself, Herrah realizes Monomon is not at all like she imagined, and finds herself struggling to keep up with the teacher's bubbly behavior.
Fun little friendship-fic between Herrah and Monomon~ Featuring some Quirrelmon and cute baby Hornet~
Thank ya! I do have some answers to these!
I have actually juggled around some ideas for what mortal Radiance would look like, though I haven’t quite settled on one specific one. I’ve been digging around Tumblr looking at other people’s interpretations of her tho and trying to come up with my own.
I had always thought the mossy vagabonds were already infected by the time you first reach them. So their praise of the Radiance was more due to the infection’s influence than anything having to do with their own devotion.
As for my interpretation of the Seer giving the Dream Nail to the knight, I’d thought of it as her attempt to either a) see if the knight could quell her rage and bring her back to the deity she once was, or b) stop her rampage, as the Seer is well aware of the damage her goddess has caused (at least, that was my interpretation for her last line before she disappears, about atoning for her clan’s mistakes). She still believes in the Radiance, but she is not following merely on blind faith. She is aware of what her Goddess has become, but she still hopes that things can be made right, whatever that may be.
I.. actually totally forgot about that line, tbh xD I might have to rethink on that headcanon then, lol. Perhaps some kind of argument between them, or her trying to reinstate her reign by being like “NO NIGHTMARES, ONLY DREAMS”
Could anyone share their opinions/theories/headcanons about the Pale King, the Radiance, and their feud?
“You are the bad guy, and I’ll show you how this justice system deals with bad guys!”

Allow me to amend that by dropping a random perspective practice doodle of the Conductor in his home, because yes
Bruh, I absolutely LOVE love children. I don’t think y’all understand how badly I NEED them in my life. I must know all your cute headcanons about a child of your favorite ships! That stuff breathes LIFE into me!
I beg you, please feed me so I won’t starve ;A;
Time to turn on the pyrotechnics, Darling!
This is actually one small fraction of a bigger project I’m working on, but gosh dangit I liked this one too much not to upload it by itself!
What was your favorite level from A Hat In Time?
Quirrel is the only person in Hallownest who didn't attack me on sight therefore he is automatically my best friend and we're going to go get choccy milk and go on awesome spelunking adventures together and you're not invited
