Oh so that's why Spy's tail is barbed- kinda reminds me of Sandwings from wings of fire

His tail also seems to be the longest- is he able to use it like a whip somehow?

Just- wind it back and then swing it forward- go thru some poor dragon's spine or something-

Does Heavy have problems when dealing w/ heat? The mercs got fire but he got ice-

Is he like- more easily damaged by fire?

It also looks like he can use his tail as a club- with all that ice on the end-

Wait- does the ice on his tail grow naturally or does he have to like- breath on it to renew it-

Oh my gosh Demo's wingfins- like- give me so much serotonin for some reason?

The fact you gave him fins instead of actual wings is so cool to me- I'm guessing they help guide him through the water when he swimming

Actually- is demo able to fly at all?

Medic's design is just- chef's kiss-

He looks a little like Archimedes- which I'm guessing was like- the idea

But what about the thing on his tail? What secrets does that gear hold

Pyro looks like one of those hairless chihuahuas- I say that in the most affectionate and positive way

Also- I gotta know- is the purple patterning a reference to how he works directly with the Administrator in the comics?

Ok ok ok so

There’s a lot of things about spy that I didn’t mention on the reference post. I was considering making him use a cloaking device like normal but it would be so much cooler if he just had that power, so spy can become invisible by appearing to dissipate into smoke. And, another thing, the reason why he has none of the normal merc gear on his body is because his weapons are his teeth and his tail. It’s not very noticeable, but his tail is sharp and can be used to stab people in the back in place of his knife, because it would be hard to use a butterfly knife with those hands. And his teeth, when he opens his mouth, are long and pointed like a vampire and are very venomous. It’s where he gets the nickname ‘snake’ from :>

Spy also passed his blue tone down to scout, but not his venom. Scout, spy and medic are all bipedal because I feel like spy and medic would rely on their hands a lot and being very precise, while scout is among the smallest and fastest so it would make sense for him to be bipedal. (I’m really wanting to draw scouts ma now I’m thinking of it)

It took me a bit to puzzle out the value of double jumping if every dragon (almost) can fly, so I’ve made it so that scouts double jumps are more of a speed boost. Like, he flaps his wings to get extremely fast for a bit. Scouts legs are also modelled after the dinosaur gallimimus, which has very short calves and thighs but long feet to lend to speed and agility.

It’s obvious, but sniper, soldier and medic are all bird-based. Because how could they not be. Sniper’s back legs are also those of a dingo and his bushman nature would lend to his patterns and colours being mainly for camouflage in the Australian landscape, so red dirt and brown. Dragon sniper uses his bow a lot more than the gun, as it works better while he’s flying. Soldier has very powerful wings that he uses to fly higher and at faster speeds than others. Medic has a very high endurance and often hovers behind others. Also, medic’s ubercharge briefly replaces the torn wing on heavy so that heavy can fly for the duration.

Fire breathers: Scout (sharp, uncontrolled bursts of fire), engineer (extremely hot flame, can produce magma), pyro (alllll the fire. So much fire in very large quantities)

None breathers: Medic (just sharp teeth but no venom), spy (potent venom), demoman (however, demo can breathe underwater) soldier (mouth’s just for yelling) and sniper (fire danger in the bush)

Misc: Heavy (breathes an icy vapour, which can shoot small ice crystals to harm enemies or just freeze them on the spot)

wings of fire/tf2 ... is this too crazy of an au? i hope not. me and my friend have been developing it for a few months but we only have the two set designs so far :)

i have a lot of fun making these and thinking of who would be what species. medic is up next i think, he's a nightwing.

I made some art of @emotionally-amused-blu-scout 'cause I think they're super cool!

Everytime I see sniperspy, it's usually opposite teams, which is lovely but I also believe in same team sniperspy, because of this match I had while playing Sniper on Thunder Mountain. I was using the bullshit countries away sightline by the BLU spawn on the first stage, the one on the rocks. I can't see shit but I feel like every sniper needs to use a bullshit spot at least once in their life so I'm sticking to it. Though I can't hit shit. Anyway I hear a spy decloak behind me and I turn, ready to throw hands.

But the only spy there is my team's, and he's busy running to the fight. I feel like he glances at me a bit, but he's gone before I can think about it.

I feel silly but I figure he's just testing his cloak, because I don't hallucinate decloaks, not yet anyway. A few minutes later, and there it is again. Someone decloaks behind me. This time I turn and there is my spy, but he's acting very suspicious. Has a mask on and everything. I run over to rip him up, and he starts dancing around, dodging me and feinting. We're jumping around for at least a minute before I run right into and through him.

It's my fucking spy. I've been juggling around for the past minute with my own spy.

He realizes the jig is up and he looks at me for a long moment, probably laughing at me behind his impassive face, before he's running off to fight again.

I go back to sniping, feeling horribly embarrassed. I move around and eventually get caught by a scout. After coming out of spawn, I go to stand on the rocks again to check things out. Can you guess what happens next?

I hear a decloak behind me and I'm sure this time this is the enemy spy. It has to be. No way my spy would still be screwing with me this deep into the match. I turn, and yep, there's a spy, wearing a mask and everything. Knife at the ready, I take a few steps forward.. before I just stop.

I stare at this spy. He stares at me. I look at him for a looong moment before I grab my rifle back and turn around. He comes up to my side and I tense, because shit maybe it is actually the enemy spy, but the stab he hits to my side bounces right off.

My team's spy looks at me, opens up VC and chuckles, before telling me in this smooth, soft little voice, "Sniper you should move up. You're not gonna hit anybody from here."

And he runs off again. Bastard.
