Hey! What’s your top10 Clexa fics?
My top favorite ones ever? Gah. That’s really too hard xD There are genuinely a ton of fics I absolutely love and adore, and it’s hard to really qualify what constitutes as my favorites because it kinda changes depending on what I’m in the mood for! But here are some, not in any particular order:

God it’s so hard. Seriously, there are so many I love. Check them out here- I have 90+ more recs on my masterlist, and then here’s a link to my 800+ bookmarks as well!
we lost in 2016 but somehow won in the long run. so: petty, vindictive clexas come get yall food ❤
Kinda weird how you say you’re against fascism yet you shut down anyone just because they share a different opinion than you. You guys are exactly what you say you hate... FASCIST! How come I have never seen any member of antifa actually sit down with someone and have a civil debate? I’ve only ever seen them yell and throw tantrums. Doesn’t look good for you guys, yikes.
everybody has to do their part. as a reference, this was posted on 1 june 2020. if any links are broken or direct to a place they should not, please feel free to add on with corrections. if there is new information with better knowledge, please feel free to share. thank you.
do not donate to shaun king. he has repeatedly collected money to “support” black people, but no one knows where the money is.

twin cities dsa (provides fresh groceries and hot meals to people in minneapolis)
it isn’t enough to sign petitions and reblog/retweet/etc. nonblack people, including people of color, owe it to black people to educate themselves and correct themselves and the people around them on anti-blackness.
note: more links are in the masterposts linked below.

people need supplies to protest safely, and even if they bring supplies with them, they can often run out. if you’re able, stock up and hand them out to people protesting. for more supplies to donate, see the “george floyd action” google docs link in section 5.
water bottles (dehydration and heatstroke are not things people should have to deal with alongside bastard cops. if the police in your area are particularly violent or known to use tear gas, get the ones with the sports cap/suction-thing/etc so people can use them as emergency eye-flushes.)
snacks (make sure to take into account that people have allergies of all sorts. foods will have a little label that says “may contain” and then list any potential allergens. write the allergens on the ziploc (or any container you use) in permanent marker, or better yet, write the snacks included in the pack.)
masks (don’t forget there’s still a pandemic going on. also it will aid in deterring facial recognition when the police try to track down protestors, also part two, if the cops use tear gas, wearing a mask (with the combination of a scarf or bandana) will lessen the adverse effects. lessen, not stop.)
bandanas, scarves, etc. and goggles (ski goggles, swimming goggles, etc.) (see above for explanation on the scarves. same goes for the goggles. anti–tear gas and anti–facial recognition.)
clean shirts (for people who are heavily gassed. also helps deter recognition through clothing.)
wound care supplies (band-aids, packets of neosporin packets or a similar antibiotic, alcohol wipes, etc.; if you can, decant bactine into those little travel bottles.)
a sharpie or another type of marker (for writing bail numbers or emergency contacts on arms, hands, etc. it’s not enough to have your city’s bail fund number stored on your phone; the police won’t give it to you to look it up. give people a marker so they can write it down, preferably not washable so it isn’t easily removed.)
IMPORTANT: KNOWING FIRST AID
tear gas: if you’re hit, get out as fast and as soon as you can. take anyone you can with you. the longer you’re in the gas, the harder it will be for you to see, and it can irritate your airways, making it hard to breathe. if you’re hit, don’t run; it’ll only make things worse on your lungs. when you leave the area, take a cold shower. don’t use hot water (it will only reactivate the agent); don’t bathe (it will only spread the CS around). (source 1) (source 2) (cdc fact sheet on tear gas)
move them to a clean and ventilated area where it’s as safe as possible.
ask them if they’re wearing contact lenses. have them remove it. if they’re wearing glasses, rinse it with water.
solution of half liquid antacid, half water. spray from the inside going out, with the head tilted back and slightly towards the side being rinsed. if they say it’s okay, open the eye slightly while doing this. (source)
bullet wounds: the most important thing is to stop the bleeding. be sure to check for an exit wound and cover that as well. treat both wounds, but treat the worse one first.
stop the bleed (youtube video by uc san diego health)
first aid in active shooting scenarios
making a tourniquet (a commercial tourniquet is best, but improvised ones can work as well if done properly; the most important things to remember is that tourniquets are for limb injuries and are not meant for the head or torso and that they have to be very tightly wound on the injury.)

be responsible with this. people’s lives are at stake. that being said, the media is a fucking joke and the best way to get accurate information in a grassroots rebellion is amongst ourselves. record everything, but if you are going to share any information at all, be sure to blur people’s faces.

remember to keep phones OFF unless absolutely necessary. cell phone towers, stingrays, location notifs can all be used to track you and other protestors. don’t fuck around. if your phone must be on, keep it on airplane mode as often as possible and only communicate using encrypted methods. no, snapchat doesn’t count. also, if you’re protesting, change your passcode. make it at least 11 characters long and don’t use facial/thumb recognition.
grantgust: Swipe through these in my story. This is something I’ve been thinking a lot about recently and having conversations with friends, family and people on social media about. It’s embarrassing for me personally to admit as a 30 year old adult, but being anti racist wasn’t something I had thought much about. I really thought knowing I wasn’t racist was enough. I knew what was in my heart and I thought carrying that with me would be enough. I’ve always been more comfortable mostly keeping to myself. I’m what you could call an introvert and a homebody. Ironically enough, being in the spotlight or putting myself out there can really make me uncomfortable. I’ve never thought of myself as an activist and I honestly still don’t. I’ve never felt smart enough I guess. I’ve never felt like I truly have something to contribute. But I’ve realized and am realizing that it’s my whiteness that allowed me to think just knowing I wasn’t racist was enough. I was naive. What I’m learning now is that’s not enough. I need to be more actively anti racist. My black friends and black Americans I don’t know are depending on me and other people with skin like mine to use our voices right now. And they always have been. I was just naive enough to think that that wasn’t my fight. That I was “doing my part” by not being racist. I’m going to continue to use my platform and just my every day life and encounters to be a better ally for people that didn’t have the head start in life that I did. I’m sorry it took me so long to get here. I’m here now. I know I still don’t have all the tools needed or all the knowledge to be the best possible ally. But I know now me being uncomfortable is just going to be a part of the equation and I’m willing to have those conversations and to do my best to help.
Hello there, Happy Friday! If you feel so inclined #3 from the angst pile: “if you cared about me, you wouldn’t do this.” Hope you have a wonderful day. Cheers!
“If you cared about me, you wouldn’t do this.”
“I don’t care about you, Clarke.”
It’s the hardest, harshest thing she’s ever had to say in three years. Lexa holds her gaze, so the words can have the intended force. But she didn’t calculate for how they would pierce her own heart. How much it hurts to see her best friend recoil in hurt.
“I never did,” Lexa adds on. Because it wasn’t enough to just wound, there had to be a finality to it. To kill any hope. Hope that Lexa carries and can’t flame because of a moment of weakness. “Not in that way. We’re just friends. It meant nothing to me. Last night was a mistake.”

fluffy 21? thank you :)
Lexa sat patiently on the bed, occasionally glancing at her phone. She heard a thump and a groan and looked toward the bathroom.
“Babe?”
“Not yet, not yet!” The reply came.
Lexa sighed and scrolled on her phone, mindlessly clicking on the pictures that popped up on her feed. When an article finally caught her attention, she didn’t hear the door open.
“Lexa.”
“Hm?” Lexa looked up and felt her jaw drop, but most likely not for the reason her wife wanted.
“Oh my god,” she said, then couldn’t stop a burst of laughter.
“Lexa! It’s not funny!”
Clarke stood in all her glory, wearing a human-sized bee costume with the antenna hat to match. It looked like the stomach was padded with thick and soft material, making Clarke look especially round and wildly adorable.
Lexa stood up with tears in her eyes. “Are you going to teach these kids about the birds and the bees?”
Clarke glared at her, folding her arms beneath her ridiculously fuzzy chest, which somehow made her look even less intimidating.
Lexa touched her antennas. “I wouldn’t mind a lesson.”
“If you think you’re getting laid after laughing at me, think again.”
“Okay, okay,” Lexa said, trying to control her facial muscles. “It — it looks great.”
Clarke stared at her for five long seconds before Lexa exploded into laughter again.
“Oh my god, I can’t stand you,” Clarke exclaimed. “You said it looked cute when I showed you a picture!”
“Yes, on the preschooler modeling it!” Lexa tried to defend herself. “You said they had an adult version! I assumed it didn’t look like… this.”
“Oh like this, huh? And what is this, Lexa?”
Lexa bit her lip. “It’s just so… fuzzy. And bright. That yellow is very bright. I mean, it’s practically neon.”
Clarke pinched her arm. “Ow!” Lexa whined,
“That’s for promising Octavia’s kids we’d dress up for their stupid themed party and then you bailing on me.”
“How could I know Anya would plan lunch?” Lexa justified weakly.
“Oh shut up,” Clarke glared at her. “You’re abandoning your wife for your older sister. It’s duly noted.”
“Babe,” Lexa pouted, “I haven’t seen her in five months. I see Octavia every week.”
Clarke said nothing, maintaining a steely stare. Lexa couldn’t help but notice the popped collar of the costume paired with the hat made Clarke’s face look rounder.
“I know you’re trying, but you’re not very intimidating,” she pointed out, amused.
Clarke stepper closer, their noses almost touching. Lexa could feel one of the antennas poking the top of her head but abstained from making a remark that would likely keep her from seeing her wife naked for a good week.
“Um… I take it back,” she said instead. “You’re the fiercest bee in the land.”
She felt Clarke’s breath and glanced at her mouth, smiling softly as she leaned forward.
Clarke pulled back just as Lexa’s lips brushed against hers. “That’s what I thought. I’m going to get my purse.”
When she turned around, Lexa made the mistake of glancing at her ass, which, granted, in any other situation would not have had such tragic consequences. But when she saw that the costume’s stinger bounced with each one of Clarke’s steps, she slapped her hand over her mouth.
The noise made Clarke look back at her. She narrowed her eyes when she realized Lexa was covering her mouth. “Don’t you dare.”
Lexa shook her head, “Hm-mm.”
Clarke waited a few seconds before she turned around again. It took barely one step for Lexa to crack.
“Divorce!” Clarke shouted dramatically as she walked away with her bouncing stinger, further fueling Lexa’s fit of laughter.
Your top 5 fav Clexa fanfic?
These probably aren’t gonna be new to anyone but here we go
1. Within Me An Invincible Summer by thrace
Canon. Complete
this is probably the ultimate fav. just the writing and the characterization and like the absolute spot on understanding on clarke and lexa’s personal relationship, the past vs present timeline and how it shows growth. like im a ho for this fic.
2. what the ground grows by coldmackerel
Canon. Complete
i love coldmackerel’s style of writing and this one takes the cake for me. serious but also humorous in just the right ways, especially considering this fic’s subject matter.
3. a pleasant undoing by mopeytropey (scriptmanip)
Modern AU. Complete.
I just love modern aus so much ok and this one hits all the right buttons. the pining, the longing looks and touches and the way clarke and lexa’s friendship just evolves like it does. *pacha meme*
4. a year of sundays by brokendevil
High School AU. Complete
mmm the good angst, but also like very much in my preferred vein where its more clarke/lexa vs the world. Im surprised i didnt think to include this on that other rec list from a couple days ago.
5. maybe they will sing for us tomorrow by someonelsesheart
Reincarnation AU (but also canon in a way??). Complete
bittersweet!! but i love it. short but that means every little part of it is spot on great stuff.
After discussing sexism in the refugee crisis, the Church, and financial systems, she went on to criticize her own industry for its deplorable lack of female film critics.
