A couple of years ago I had the experience of watching When Knighthood Was In Flower (1922) in theaters and soon after I came down with a serious disease of I Love 1920s Medieval Fantasy Stuff, of which I have never recovered. I have no idea what the story is behind these people but they've been around since then, I painted them last month for a school project.
@another-art-studentt you're the only one who kind of knows who they are lol
I offer you all this, which is a really bad drawing of the Mad Hatter that Johnathon Crane drew in a dream I had a while back and I couldn't stop laughing at it lmao,, this is my best artists rendition
💗🐁🧀
I had a rough week so I just wanted to sit down and sketch some batman characters lol. I don't draw Johnathon that much rip but this is what he looks like in my head, sort of
hi people I'm soapy!! I'm going to try my best and post consistantly on here lol, I make art occasionally. I love batman and perry mason (if that's even known around here) and classic horror. bye have a good day ~
I realized I've never properly drawn Thea in her winter outfit <3 i know y'all don't know who she is but every time I post art of her I'm too lazy to explain sooo. curse of mysterious lady be upon ye
hi people!! I'm making a new pinned post because I'm realizing that my blog is getting very disorganized lol.
My name is soapy/sophie, I'm 21, I'm a digital and traditional artist but mostly digital on here!! Some oc stuff, I also like Batman (specifically batman the animated series), Spider-man (tssm and the 90s cartoon!), scooby doo, perry mason (the 1950s show), a lot of reeeeeeally old movies, cuphead, uhh, Disney movies, I'm sure I'll think of more lol. I love fiber arts and sewing clothes especially. I'm Christian and I have a particular fascination with the Byzantine Empire/early Christianity! Some of my other interests are vintage fashion and archeology/history. all sfw here :) I don't have anything dealing with politics/current events on here either as I thoroughly despise the idea of politics lol and this is my little corner of the world to escape!
I do not do commissions as of now, I may in the future if I have more of an audience!

Have a good day go watch an old horror movie :)
gouache sketch of the 1943 phantom :0 I loooove his mask, it has a lot of character, and I think masks with a personality of their own help to sell the idea that the person wearing it is not only disguising themselves, but creating a whole new self on top of that. Claude rains phantom you may not be the most accurate but I love you regardless <333
I've been hyperfixating SO BAD this week my brain is actually melting aghshddjdj.... I'm onto something with my princess and knight I swear.......... anyways I got stuck on unicorns yesterday and I already have an unhealthy obsession with the Unicorn Tapestries, so I wanted to make a piece inspired by that with the princess from a previous post :)
I've been practicing backgrounds over the last week, and this was originally a study of a photo I took in Maine last year. I looove the beach and water is so hard to paint lol but I'm getting better. I read the Emily Windsnap books a lot when I was younger.... I love them so much and I still read them EVERY time I go to the beach, they perfectly describe the feeling of the ocean and what it's like to go to the beach. The illustrations are just UGH THEY'RE SO GOOD and I want to EAT them. Also I wanted to be a mermaid really bad when I was a kid lmao. So yeah! I was orignally going to stick a random mermaid in here but I thought what the heck. emily :)
- What of it? Then it'll be out of its misery. - You know how you sound, Monsieur Blaine? Like a man who's trying to convince himself of something he doesn't believe in his heart.
