Yes, these are both the same pic but I think they’re neat and I can’t choose between them so you get both. I had to do an assignment for school involving toys and I decided to recreate that scene from Macbeth with my nesting doll.
An apartment building burned down recently and I got a few pictures of all the smoke in the sky while I was driving by. It was pretty cool, and thankfully no one got hurt.

SO you’ve lost power and fucking freezing? First things first. You’re going to grab literally every blanket and pillow and cushion you can find.
Grab some newspaper or other papery material, it’s insulation.
Next, you’re going to build yourself a motherfucking blanket fort. Keep it small but with enough space you won’t feel like death.
Put the newspaper on the floor, put cushions and pillows, then your blankets. Build it up.
Any form of light source will also help (just please don’t light anything on fire). Keep that there.
As for clothing, you need to layer it up. Keep moisture wicking material as a base, then build it up. You might look like the Michelan tire man or Pillsbury Dough Boy but you’ll be warm.
If you have pets that are susceptible to the cold, put one of your shirts on them and bring them to the blanket fort.
KEEP YOUR TAPS DRIPPING SO THEY DON’T FREEZE.
DO NOT OPEN YOUR FRIDGE OR FREEZER UNLESS YOU HAVE TO. The temperature there will not protect your food enough.
If you have to go out at all, look for shiny patches on the road. That is black ice.
If you hit ice, don’t panic, don’t hit the pedals, lightly take your foot off the gas, steer into the skid to gain control again (do not over steer) and then straighten your wheel. Look where you want to go and then start slightly steering that way.
Pack clothes and blankets. Cardboard, shovel, and cat litter if you have it. This will help if you happen to get stuck.
IF YOU GET STUCK IN THE SNOW for the love of God do not just gun it. That will damage your vehicle and dig you into a bigger hole. You need to either wait for help or “rock” your vehicle. Hit the gas a little, then back off of it. Do this in a steady rhythm so that your car rocks. Rock with it.

today the navajo nation surpassed new york state and new jersey for the highest per-capita coronavirus infection rate in the country. that’s 2,304 cases per 100,000 people. 173,600 people live on the navajo nation, roughly. below are a number of organizations & community groups raising money & resources. it would mean so much to me if you’d consider supporting these communities right now - & continue to think about how you can support the indigenous communities near you, & understand the indigenous land you might currently occupy.
the navajo water project helps bring running water to navajo families without, and also helps families pay their water & electricity bills
the adopt an elder project helps feed navajo elders during the pandemic
the navajo health command operations center is the navajo nation’s only official fundraising and donation effort
rez rising is a database of native american small businesses across the southwest
the kinlani mutual aid group is a flagstaff, az based volunteer group collecting supplies
the native american relief fund operated by the native american community foundation provides emergency grants to communities for supplies & more
and a number of community-run fundraising efforts:
northern diné covid relief effort
navajo & hopi families relief fund
native student emergency fund
bluff area mutual aid - supply delivery in utah
navajo nation relief project

just to be clear, the fact that music was nominated for a golden globe is absolutely disgusting. every single (adult) involved in that gross, ableist movie should be sickened by themselves.
for those of you who don't know, music (2021) is a movie being directed by sia about a nonverable autistic girl. not only does it not include any actually autistic people in the movie itself but it also only took advice from autism speaks which is looked at as a hate group by the majority of the autistic community. leaked scenes have also shown the movie glorifying prone restraints which are incredibly dangerous and have resulted in major injuries and even death to disabled people as recently as last year.
autistic people just like me have been incredibly outspoken about how harmful this movie is but the allistic have been mostly silent. we are already seeing reviews calling this movie 'inspiring' and important' and it's absolutely horrific! we need your help calling this out. please stand with us and call out this disgusting display of disrespect to autistic folks.
