Is It Bad To Like Deceit/Roman And Logan/Deceit? I Started A Blog For It But I've Gotten Nothing But

Is it bad to like Deceit/Roman and Logan/Deceit? I started a blog for it but I've gotten nothing but people telling my to go kms and that the ships are toxic and I'm a toxic person. I just think they are kinda cute together. I just entered the fandom through the most recent video so I know everything isn't perfect but is the ship really that bad? Also, what is rem/rom (?) I see a lot of people hating on it but I don't know what it is.

Okay...so I’m gonna answer your second question first because it’s easier to explain and is more cut and dried.

Remrom is the ship name for Remus/Roman. A lot of people don’t like it because, since canon presents them as *brothers, they see the ship as incest, which triggers and/or squicks a lot of people. If this is the case for you, the best way to handle that is to just blog those tags and not interact with those blogs. Harrassing people online over a ship never did anything positive or productive.

Which seques into your first question, is it bad to like Roceit (Roman/Deceit) or Loceit (Logan/Deciet)? Of course not. I see loads of people ship it all over the fandom, especially Roceit. Here’s the thing, if you’re new to the fandom you won’t have heard about this, but there used to be a hUGE debate in the fandom about Deceit and whether or not liking him/shipping him with other characters was “toxic” or not. I thought that had all died out by this point, since there are more episdoes with Deceit in them (especially with where his character was left at the end of Putting Others First) but apparently those comments are still around and just lurking in the shadows more.

But here’s the thing. One, those fears about Deceit are, in my opinion, very unfounded, especially with the current state of the character, and two, it’s fanfiction. NONE of the ships will be canon, cuz that’s not the type of show this is, and in fanfiction, we get to not only explore the dynamics that characters do have in canon, but the dynamics that they could have if things were different. If this WAS the type of show where a ship was possible in canon, would I see Roceit as plausible (or even healthy) ship with where the characters are at in the show right now? Absolutely not, they’re way too at odds with each other, Deceit’s motives are still shady at best, and BOTH of them need to make reparations with each other before their relationship can improve.

But none of that matters in fanfiction. Because they are cute together, and there’s a lot of potential between those characters. Now, someone else may disagree for whatever reason. They might not like the character dynamic, maybe they can’t see past the tense state of their canon relationship, maybe Roman or Deceit or both just aren’t their favorite character. That’s all totally fine too, people are going to engage with content in different ways. But that doesn’t give people the right to come into your inbox and hurl insults and death threats. In fact, NOTHING gives people the right to treat you that way, on the internet or in real life. Keep on shipping Roceit and Loceit and whatever else you want to ship, and block people who try to harrass you over it. Here’s a tutorial on how to block anons (since most of the time people sending that kind of crap aren’t brave enough to send it off anon). If you’re getting hate anons over a ship or character, you are not the one with the problem, the hate anons are.

Also, if you’re following blogs that post a lot of stuff you don’t like, be it ships you don’t care for or negative posts about ships and/or characters you like, you can unfollow them, scott free! Carefully cultivate your own online experience, and suddenly fandom becomes a wonderful thing. Welcome to the fanders, I hope you have a lot of fun! Check out the roceit and loceit tags, there’s loads of good content there to enjoy! And if anyone else out there reading this thinks it’s okay to send hate over a ship, then you can kindly leave this blog, because this isn’t gonna be the place for you!

*Arguments can be made surrounding this, such as A) since they’re all figments of Thomas’s mind, they aren’t really brothers so it’s not really incest, or B) since they’re all figments of Thomas’s mind, ALL the ships are incest and/or selfcest. There will be people who feel either way, and as far as I’m concerned those feelings are valid, but they’re both minority opinions as far as I can tell. Either way it doesn’t matter, everyone will have their own interpretation of the material and how they engage with it is ultimately their business.

Logan angst

Tw death, unrequited love, eating disorder.

Logan has feeling tho he try to push them away.

Especially his anger.

He lashes out when things become to much and feel really bad afterwards.

Logan has little to no self worth.

He doesn't see himself as someone that really helps out.

He like most gifted kids see his worth with how smart he is.

But now that thomas is out of school and doing more creative things for a job

Logan doesn't think he really needed.

Logan pushes himself to far. Trying to meet dead lines.

If he can just got this edited. If he can make sure there no mistakes maybe he be worth something.

He knows he the least liked side. People like everyone else more then him.

He tells himself that it okay.

He knows he boring. And he excepts it.

He fell in love with janus but never said anything.

Janus is with patton now. Logan is happy for them.

Logan pushes his feeling down.

He cry himself to sleep most nights.

He always gets up at 7 to make everyone food.

No one thanks him.

Logan stop eating as much. He doesn't feel like he wroth the food.

Logan gets Skinny

Roman says he looking better.

Logan doesnt know how to feel about that

It the first complamet he gotten in months

Logan stop eating.

Virgil is the first to notice

He brings it up to the others but they don't believe him.

Not till logan passes out in the middle of filming.

Logan wakes up on the couch

Virgil gets him some water and some soup

Logan doesnt want to eat but doesny want virgil to feel bad so he eats a little.

The others keep an eye on him.

Logan pretends he fine

But his mask his breaking. And virgil sees it.

Before Virgil goes to bed he checks on Logan

He makes Logan go to bed once he asleep he finally goes to bed.

Logan doesnt understand why virgil acts like he cares.

Virgil walks in on Logan crying one day.

Logan trys to hide from Virgil.

It takes a while but he calms Logan down

Logan says sorry a 100 times.

Virgil feels bad Logan should apologize for having feelings

Logan doesnt understand when Virgil tells him that.

Logan try to explain he logic he should let his feeling take over.

Virgil heart breaks

Virgil puts Logan to bed.

Logan wakes up to find Virgil asleep in his chair.

Logan realizes he falling for Virgil.

Knowing he not worthy of Virgil he pushes his feeling down.

Virgil wakes up to find Logan sitting on the floor working like nothing happen.

Virgil try talking to Logan

Logan gives one word answers.

Virgil get frustrated and leaves

Logan breaks down.

Virgil cames back after he clam down to find Logan passed out on the floor. Papers all around him.

Virgil has a plan

Logan wakes up in the imaginary. Virgil siting next to him.

There in a field with only grass around them

Logan confused

Virgil explains that Logan going to take a day for him and not work.

Logan freaks out. Logan thinks that they realized he not worth anything amd is going to leave him here to die

Logan starts crying and says he do better please dont leave him.

Virgil takes a while to understand what Logan goes on about Logan crying so hard.

Then Virgil heart breaks even more.

Virgil try to explain to logan that he worth isn't base on how much work he gets done.

Logan doesnt believe him.

Virgil trys to get Logan to have some fun but Logan afraid Virgil will abandon him.

After the day over Virgil realizes it going to take a long time to get Logan to trust him.

Virgil takes in back and Logan gets back to work.

Virgil spends the next year trying to get Logan to rest and trust him.

Logan doesnt believe it all the time but he sees that someone cares about him even if he not sure why.

One night Logan asked virgil to stay with him when virgil puts logan to bed.

Virgil does

Logan thinks he might have a chance with Virgil.

Virgil and Roman start dating.

Logan's heart breaks all over again

Virgil stops worrying about the nerd

Logan goes back to his old habits

This time when Logan passes out it not around anyone and no one there to catch him.

They dont find his body till the next day.

Virgil blames himself.

A new door pops up and a new logic walks out.

He is bubblyer and says his name is jace

Virgil promises to make jace feel as welcome as he can.

Jace talks about space a lot and loves learning new things.

Virgil wonders if Logan was ever like this. Or if Logan could have ever been like this if only he try harder

You’re Awful, I Love You

A/N: Remus birthday fic time!! Quick shoutout to @vintage-squid for listening to my ramblings about this fic and helping me with ideas for it! Title is taken from the song Love Me Dead by Ludo! (also all the sides are friends in this AU bc I said so!)

Warnings: vague King Creativity mention, nudity (listen it’s canon that Remus sleeps ‘in the buff’ but it’s only sort of implied in the fic), flirting, teasing, kissing, cuddling, making out, implied/referenced NSFW (nothing actually happens they’re just kind of horny), food, mentions of eating things you probably shouldn’t, sympathetic Remus, sympathetic Janus, Remus being Remus, swearing (lmk if anything should be added!)

It was relatively quiet when Janus crept down the mindscape’s hallway. He could hear the sound of a movie playing from the living room- a quick peek revealed that Patton, Logan, Roman, and Virgil were watching Tangled, and they more or less resembled the movie’s title with how curled up they were together. Janus rolled his eyes, and continued on to his destination: Remus’s room. It was just a little bit past midnight, making it officially the twenty-fifth of June- Remus’s birthday (although technically speaking as sides they were never really born, and technically he should have shared Roman’s birthday, considering that they were twins, but Remus instead chose the day he first appeared… which was another can of worms entirely as it could sometimes bring on troublesome memories for Remus due to the… split, for lack of a better term).

Lost in thought, Janus hadn’t entirely realized he had made it to Remus’s door until he nearly walked past it. He shook his head, as if he were trying to dislodge the thoughts. Remus was doing much better when it came to things with his brother, and while he still didn’t really want people to make a big fuss out of his birthday, he was more open to celebrating it. Hence why Janus was creeping through the halls to wish his boyf- Remus, a happy birthday.
