Your voyager 2 design has been bouncing around in my brain. May I know more about them? :33
Absolutely! Due to the missions' nature, I've characterised both Voyager probes as peaceful, enlightened, and a little esoteric with a love for music and the universe.
Design wise, V2's clothing is based on the Little Prince (due to some parallels with the mission) as well as bunny suits (yes they're called that), they were more lax with the cleanroom regulations back in the day so it's just a hat and coat. I made it black in my design to match the spacecraft's tarp.
They have blue eyes as a reference to the Pale Blue Dot image but I'm quickly realising it doesn't make much sense given that the image was taken by V1 and not 2, so I may change it to whatever the colour of V2's final image was in the future.
Real OGs will remember how both my Voyager designs were radically different from one another where one was designed upside down and the other rightside up; it was to reflect the spacecrafts' almost opposite trajectories but it was sorta a split second decision on my part back then haha.

i've been doing an astronomy internship this summer, and we recently talked about the space telescopes! wanted to personify some of them hehe.
James Webb (they/them): Their shiny poncho thing is inspired by the solar shield. They have a rivalry with Hubble, believing him to be obsolete. However, they secretly are worried they won't be able to live up to his legacy.
Hubble (he/him): His glasses represent the COSTAR instrument that was installed on Hubble to correct it's blurry images. He finds James Webb's attempt at a rivalry amusing, and just wants to become friends with the younger fella and help them out.
Nancy Grace Roman (she/her): A telescope not yet launched, she's an old NRO telescope, and is having trouble adjusting from a life of espionage to one of science.

After their mother and father were martyred in the war, and while we were escaping from the bombing in the Shuja'iya neighborhood, and the destruction of my house, we fled to Al-Shifa Hospital, and then to Rafah, to Khan Yunis, and now we are displaced from one place to another. There is no safe place. My daughter was studying in the field of nursing and dreamed of working and completing her life in this field, but the war destroyed everything and there is nothing that would motivate me to stay in Gaza. I am trying to save the future of my children and grandchildren and complete their lives, and I fear that I will spend my whole life looking at them with regret or bemoaning the loss of their lives, so I am creating this campaign to help me get out of Gaza to Egypt with the help of my daughter’s husband who lives in Europe. hi Robin! I love your art sm! I was curious, what are your inspirations for your art style?
Hoooo boy, where do I even begin!
First off, my preference for detail stems from professional comics and manga (bonus points for series' with good practical or sci-fi designs like Nausicaa, Dorohedoro, Dragon Ball Z, Honneamise, Doctor Aphra. etc.), as the high industry standard of polish blew my mind. Whereas I gained my whole robot fixation deal from stuff like Chipspeech and browsing ArtStation.
As for artists...Jamie Hewlett, Luke Pearson, Shikishima (the one who makes the spacecraft anime girls, take one look at their work and you'll know immediately how my brain chemistry changed), Ken Done (he gave me a free poster once, core memory), Moebius and Pixoshiru come to mind. But I by far have the most vestigial habits from Andi Watson (I used to read his comics religiously as a kindergartner, he was basically my budding-off point when it came to art), which is evident in my veeeeery specific way of faking text as well as whatever the hell my simplified doodles have going on.
Here's another Mega Man oc of mine! He's called Spitzer and he's inspired by the Spitzer Space Telescope! Along with James Webb, he is one of my favourites!
I created him on the day the Spitzer Space Telescope deactivated so he ended up being quite gloomy in personality.

Dislikes: Too much heat, noisy robots, loneliness
One of James Webb's predecessors, he can see the universe around him in infrared light. Being incredibly advanced and intelligent, he starts to question his existence and purpose and soon develops an existential crisis. He is a workaholic and rarely spends time with his siblings.
