before he enters the scene, this is the messaging broadcast all across his london:

on every screen and surface and outlet, thats the message ordered by the government and the media and the system. to conform. to follow orders. to submit. to live and die by the establishment.

then after Hobie enters the scene with his unauthorized political action art pieces and, figuratively and literally, disrupts the narrative, the message, his message, rewrites it all and changes it all to

FREEDOM. JOY. LIVE FREE. LOVE EACH OTHER.

KINDNESS AND FREEDOM is the battlecry and message Hobie brings to his world as Spider-Man.

kindness and freedom despite everything IS punk. and Hobie destroying the system with that is so fucking powerful and beautiful. he is the embodiment of punk, and its not just an aesthetic. even if he wasnt aesthetically punk, he would still be punk because punk IS his character, it is his values, his morals, his message.

gods i just keep finding more reasons to love Hobie so deeply. he's genuinely one of, if not, the most inspiring character i have ever witnessed in media.

Sort of obsessing over the concept of Tim, having been acknowledged canonically as a talented photographer, using these skills for morally gray reasons. This kid doesn't intend to use his fists to win every battle, or even most battles, actually. He's well-connected, fits into unconventional hiding spaces due to being lean and slender and 5'6", and he has a very nice camera. Fight me on this (actually don't) but Tim is Dick's baby brother. He is the one Dick gets to take on silly adventures, they go to the grocery store and max out Bruce's credit card on the toys section. They take a weekend off to laze on Dick's couch watching bad movies and eating day old pizza until Tim says he wants something more substantial, but instead of cooking something, Dick presents him with a can of tomato soup and goes "Here's your dinner, your Majesty," and Tim's a menace so he drinks it straight from the can without heating it just to throw it up five minutes later.

Tim is the one who still goes up to Dick and tells him about his day, who asks him for advice, and calls him just to share a funny story. Tim is the one who tries to make Dick's favourite foods when he is down, who pulls Dick out of bed on the days he feels like drowning, he is the one who sits on Dick's living room when the world feels too big and he is too small, and Dick has piles of cases to finish.

Tim is the one Dick would go feral for, the one Dick doesn't know how to give up because he was the one that was there when shit hit the fan and Dick thought he would never get up again.
