I finished another meleia fic, i absolutely love them, also the ending is mostly left to interpretation but might come off as a bit spicy so i guess semi-content warning, just in case, idk, i hope it is enjoyed! 🫶

Leia’s pov:

It was another night of sneaking off into the forest of Briar Valley to see Meleanor. I sit down under a large wisteria tree that we marked as our spot, waiting for her. It had been 2 weeks since I’d seen her last, my brother has been on my case about going out so much even though I mostly stay in our territory. I just had to see Meleanor, even if I couldn’t say that out loud, I knew I needed her. I hope that she needs me just as much. I loved a lot, but nothing felt quite like this. She always made time for us to meet despite the war, she’s willing to put it all on the line for us to be together, and I’d do the same. I couldn’t stop thinking about her over these past few weeks, it felt like an eternity since I’d last seen her. Maybe that sounds cliche but I don’t really care, I just wanted to see my dragon again. I needed her to hold me and tell me that everything would be okay, that everything would be over soon… I’m getting ahead of myself. I looked around to see if she was here yet but there was no sign of her. I could only hope she was safe. I couldn’t bare the thought of her getting hurt or being in trouble, but I had to stay put, what if she were to show up and get worried.

Suddenly I feel a tap on my shoulder, I turn around and nearly shout from pure joy. I quickly wrapped my arms around Meleanor the moment I realized it was her. She gently lifted me up into her arms and carried me over to our favorite tree. “I was starting to think you wouldn’t make it, I was so worried. Please tell me you won’t let me go, you’ll hold me all night won’t you?” I plead.

“Of course I will, whatever you want or need will be yours.” She responds as she sets me down on the grass. I don’t let go of her and instead pull her down next to me. Her eyes were so pretty in the dark with that majestic green glow. I slowly leaned down, pulling her in for a kiss, then a few more. Once I was done I settled my head on her chest.

“Mel… I don’t understand how I can feel this way, everything I’m doing would be considered wrong by the standards of everyone around me, yet I can’t help but want to be with you.” My hands grip the fabric of her dress in frustration. I was mad at the world for making me feel like I had to hide what made me feel good. No one knew, it was a secret I kept well hid because I saw what they did to people like me, high class or not. “If people found out they’d probably try to argue that I was brainwashed, delusional, but I’m not, I know I want you, I know that I need-“ she gave me a deep kiss to cut me off.

“You don’t need to explain yourself to me, I know I’m so irresistible.” I give her a nudge and roll my eyes at her comment. In response she swiftly pins me underneath her. She towers over me and I can feel my body getting warm, butterflies pooling in my stomach. “I told you I’m irresistible, your getting all flustered over some play fighting, though is it really just that?” She smiles as she says that, she knew what she was doing.

“You’re doing it on purpose aren’t you? You’re trying to get me all worked up!”

“It’s working isn’t it? You know the night is young and no one is here but us. I did promise that anything you wanted would be yours, no matter what.”

I finally started watching moomin valley and i love it, so i drew some snufmin. They are so silly and I love them! 🫶

Also some credit to @sunanthonyz (I’m so sorry for so many tags lately, you have amazing character designs 😭) because I used his design as them for a reference, they are so cute!

Leia’s pov:

I can’t recall how long this war has been going on for. I don’t want to hurt the fae, sure I want my father to get better but there has to be a better way… right?

As I start to walk down the cobble path in the forest i look around anxiously, trying not to get caught. The forest was warm despite how dark it was. I had always hoped that I could stay, but not under the circumstances that I was under now, I just wanted to be free, and with my lovely dragon. That’s what I called the princess of this land, of Briar Valley, Meleanor. I hate the way I heard them speak of her, like a monster, she was nothing of the sort, just a princess looking to protect her family. I could say I was the same, but I wasn’t, I was just the princess of the enemy kingdom, just another pawn in my brother’s game, but not to her. She would hold me under the stars and tell me we’d figure it out, that once our kingdoms had peace we’d be free…. I was snapped out of my thoughts by a voice.

“You’re pacing again princess, don’t get all in your head again on me, you almost walked off the path.” I heard the voice speak. I didn’t even have to look, I just turned and ran towards it, jumping into the arms of my beloved. She only managed to pull me off of her because my arms were getting tired from squeezing her. I noticed she already had set up some blankets at our spot under the big Wisteria tree. She said she picked this spot because the flowers remind her of me, it makes me go red in the face every time I think about it.

“Now come sit or you’ll get cold, I know how you silly humans are, a slight breeze will make you shake like a leaf.” She led me over to the blankets, wrapped us up in one of them, it was a soft, black, fluffy blanket that I curled up in the first time we sat under this tree. It was our blanket, just like this was our tree, our spot, our love… I could almost fall asleep, but I was always a little sleepy, I think she likes that though. Meleanor starts to pepper my face with light kisses as she usually does, it’s becoming like a tradition for us, though I don’t like having to rush to remove the black kiss marks from her lipstick before someone notices, but that’s a problem for later me. I leaned into her chest, letting her mess with my hair, she always braided it for me.

“Leia you’ll fall asleep if you get to comfortable, not that I mind cuddling, I just don’t want you to get hurt incase someone shows up.” She rubbed her thumb against my cheek. I bring my hand up to hers.

“I know.. I just feel so safe with you, even though nothing here is safe for us. I just wish…” I trail off in my sentence, but she knows what I’m thinking.

“I know, I wish it too, but all we can do is stay quiet and hope that our kingdoms can come to an agreement.” She rubs my back, her presence bringing me some confort. I didnt want the night to end, I wanted to stay, i wanted to be happy with her. She was so protective, always keeping an eye on me, making sure that no one finds us or that i don’t accidentally stay too long.

“Do I have to go?” I whisper, gripping onto her sides, trying to cling to her.

“You do my princess, but we’ll be together again soon, right back in our spot, safe and sound.” She helps me up, guiding me back to the path. She gave me another quick peck on the lips before wishing me goodbye.. I hope we shall be together again soon.

Meleanor’s pov:

I sat on my bed, contemplating what to do with the human laying next to me. I found her asleep in the forest. She smelled like vanilla and roses. I could keep her as a food source, I’d keep her happy and healthy of course, her blood wouldn’t be as good if i didn’t. Even the little pleasures in life can make a humans blood so much sweeter. I was so hungry, but I had to restrain myself, i couldn’t risk having her waking up as I fed. I’ve already delt with that once before and it was not a good time. I looked over as I felt movement in the bed. I was expecting a freak out, maybe to be hit or something, but she just stared at me. After a long moment of silence i finally spoke up.

“I expect a lot more fighting or yelling from you? Why are you so calm?” I ask.

The human shrugged, she looked tired, perhaps that’s why she had not fight in her, maybe that’s why she fell asleep in the forest.

“It’s not like I have a lot to get back too, I’m not really that excited to go back to being manipulated by my family.” She said bluntly.

I gave raised my eyebrow. “So you don’t have a good home life, are you saying anywhere is better than there? Well I suppose that’d be some reason to be calm in a different place.”

“Pretty much..” she responded, her voice was weak and her eyes downcast. She sat with her knees to her chest and her arms wrapped around them. “I’ve heard stories about vampires like you before, you drink blood to stay alive… is that why I’m here?”

“For the most part, your smell, it’s of roses and vanilla, and I’m quite hungry.” I tilted her chin up with my thumb. “Don’t be sad, you’ll be treated well here, perhaps minus the blood sucking depending on how you look at it.”

“I’m used to people taking from me anyways, maybe my family isn’t really sucking out my blood but it feels like it sometimes, and I never get anything in return.” She pulled her hair away to reveal her neck, but i hesitated, she knew what i wanted and what to do but i still hesitated, why? Why would I give up a chance for some food? I was so hungry, but somehow it felt less right than when I took blood from my past food sources. “Are you hungry? It doesn’t feel right to eat and not give you anything, plus you look as slim as a bean pole.” I ask, trying to be at least a little considerate, and also trying to get her to open up a bit more.

“Some food would be nice… i haven’t eaten in a bit, I’m not picky I’ll eat anything.” She looked up at me as she spoke. Her eyes were almost hopeful. I rung a bell on the nightstand next to my bed, having a maid bring send a food request to the chef. Once the food is arrives I set it in front of her. “You can eat first, you’ll need energy if I’m going to feed from you. Don’t worry your pretty little head, you’ll have everything you could ever need or want here.” I push the food towards her, encouraging her to eat. She looks at me reluctantly and takes a bite. I can only assume that because she didn’t spontaneously explode or anything she decided to eat more. She must not have been eating good at home, but non of that mattered now. She is here and she belongs to me, and I can already feel myself starting to drool as I lean in to smell her blood again. Once she finishes her meal I don’t hesitate to have mine. Her blood is sweet like the vanilla smell she carries. I can’t help but eat for a few long minutes, leaving multiple deep bite marks in her neck. As I wipe my mouth of some blood I realize that I’d never asked her name. “By the way, since you’ll be staying a long time, what’s your name?”

“Leia..” she squeaks out in a trembling voice. How beautiful, it’s like something you’d name a dove. It’s fitting, a beautiful dove in an elegant cage, but well kept. What is kept away cannot be hurt, and it will stay that way for a long time.
