Ever since Hanji became the commander Levi called her by her name, now I noticed he's back to his old nickname for Hanji, "shitty four-glasses", right before Hanji's about to sacrifice herself for humanity 😢

So after Ahsoka’s “death” in rebels, Rex would get a tattoo in memory of her, maybe her symbols with some other details and the text “I am one with the force, the force is with me”.

Underappreciated Sonic Frontiers moment with Sonic & Tails: after they have that heart to heart about Tails wanting to strike out on his own, Sonic drops all the "little buddies", etc. and starts calling him "partner". He does it at the end of their conversation and continues to do it throughout the rest of the game.

I think it's pretty sweet and thoughtful of Sonic to try to reaffirm that he sees Tails as a capable person even in little ways like that, by switching out a diminutive (though very wholesome) nickname for a different one that puts Tails as his equal.

I'm sure "little buddy" helped Tails back in the day in its own way, (and let's be honest it's not going anywhere it's too iconic), but in the moment, while Tails was feeling very inadequate, it was a good call from Sonic to change it up.

So I love talking about Sonic and Tails dynamic but I’ve really been thinking about how I wish they’d explore Tails’ and Shadows dynamic more.

Like we all know that (whether intentional on SEGAs end or not) there is a clear parallel between Shadow—Maria and Sonic—Tails.

And this is gonna be a little long so I’ll put the full rambles of my thoughts under the cut

So I like to think that everyone around Sonic, Tails, and Shadow have all pretty much came to the same conclusion of Shadow + Maria = Sonic + Tails, all except for Tails and Shadow.

And what about Sonic? Well he made that connection the moment they learned about what happened to Maria which is why he was immediately chill with Shadow and his whole deal.

Sonic read what happened to Maria took one look at Shadow and his plans to destroy the planet because of it and just basically was like

“oooooohhh okay…yeah I get it… same-sies Shadow…I 100% would do the same thing if that happened to Tails”

Shadow and Tails tho both just have not made the connection yet.

Shadow figures it out first and it just hits him one day when he’s hanging around Tails’ workshop cause Tails is fixing his motorcycle. Tails just says something or does something and Shadow immediately just has a little “oh” moment when it clicks into place how much Tails does remind him of Maria. And how similar him and Sonic are in regards to their adopted siblings.

Cue Shadow marching into Tails’ and Sonic’s house with Tails tucked under his arm, kicking the door in and just Rosa from Brooklyn 99 style announcing

“I’ve had Tails for an afternoon and if anything happened to him I would kill everyone on this planet and them myself”

Sonic is just there like “same” but all their other friends have immediate concerns. Minus Rouge who’s just like “called it you owe me 20 bucks Omega”

Tails on the other hand is a genius but bless his little heart he never really makes the connection, he just thinks Shadow is his friend now for some reason (he thinks maybe cause he did such a good job on Shadows motorcycle).

In their fights with Eggman or what ever villain they go up against from then on Shadow keeps an eye out for Tails cause he’s like “we don’t need a repeat of the same tragedy” plus Tails has grown on him a bit. He likes the kid so sue him.

Also Tails and Shadow start hanging out every once in a while and just work on Shadows motorcycle. Because of this Shadow has a whole new arsenal of guns Tails made him. And Shadow helps train up Tails a bit more in hand to hand combat making him an even more badass little ball of fluff.

Sonic is just glad they’re getting along and happy that there’s someone else looking out for his little brother.

Agreed with this, i am.

Interacting with people online is so weird.

Because sometimes I feel like, “Thank you for your kind feedback, my most genteel acquaintance.”

And sometimes I think, “Ah, you are my child now and I will protect you at any cost.”

But sometimes it’s, “I love you, please be my friend?”

And sometimes I’m like, “Long have I worshipped thee from afar, great poet of the Archive who hath chosen to grace this page with thy presence!”

And sometimes they’re screaming and I’m screaming and we’re jumping up and down on the bed wearing pink feather boas and yelling into hairbrush microphones.

You just never know.

I think I won't like being an adult

adulthood is just a constant struggle of, “man, i want cookies for breakfast, but I also recognize this is a bad nutritional decision.  On the other hand, the only one who can stop me is me.  i know that fucker’s weaknesses.  i could totally take me in a fight.”
