I am already so against Disney for churning out this slop because it’s literally hurting my soul so much as a director, and because they’ve been silencing those who have been trying to push overdue REAL diversity for years under our noses. I saw someone on twt say “you can’t just slap a filter on our childhood and call it magical” and damn that struck a cord with me. Hawai’i could be such a beautiful place and this movie is only a contributor amongst many as to why those greedy tourists are trying to keep all the good to themselves and not caring what or rather who is lost in the process.

I wanted to clarify this for no one but myself since I’m the most active on tumblr but if r1ver’s skin ever looks desaturated or ashy it’s because my tablet’s display is off color (mostly with oranges conveniently. Yay.) I’ve tried to mess with it’s color settings multiple times but to no avail so I just try my best to edit the photos on my phone so that they match my tablet’s screen. Hopefully gonna take it back to get it fixed soon since the display being off-color was only a recent problem that I found when I got the tablet back from being fixed the first time around, so I’m pretty sure that the people who fixed a tablet that was involved in an accident (me) so brutal it looked like the thing got shot, I’m pretty sure they’ll be able to fix the same tablet’s slight display problem 😭😭

First of all I literally cannot WAIT for you all to see this absolute MASTERPIECE of a film and secondly I just wanted to say that I’ve literally never been to any sort of fan event like this before and everyone that showed up in their cosplays or with their merch and just like, EVERYONE there made it feel like the safest and most accepting environment I’ve been to in so so long. I got into the OSC and specifically II fandoms at the absolute lowest point of my whole life so far, but this show has literally helped me not only make amazing new friends, but more importantly find a passion and will for living again. I genuinely don’t know where I would be right now if I didn’t take a chance on this silly show on some random afternoon lol. Thank you for everything II team ILY!!!!! ^u^
