Oh god oh gosh okay so someone (Did, from this fic) came up with the idea of A/B/O “subvocalizations”…like, these little rumbly noises/purrs/chirrups that mean things like hello and help and back off. And they’re pretty instinctual, to the point that sometimes you can’t control whether you make them? And?? Jupeter???? Ju…..JUPETER???

I’m dying at the thought of either of them struggling to control some needy subvocalizations, but I’m such a Nureyev kinnie that my mind latches onto him first. Just…Nureyev, having learned to suppress his subvocalizations?? Because of course they’d betray his deeper feelings, so…better to cut them off at the root. Everyone else on the ‘Blanche spends their time chirping and humming away to say things like excuse me and I care about you and calm down…Even Buddy, who’s pretty quiet by subvocal standards, still purrs I love you’s and I’m here’s to Vespa. But meanwhile Nureyev’s like this pocket of dead air. No subvocals whatsoever. It’s downright eerie. At a certain point Juno’s not even sure whether Nureyev CAN make subvocalizations anymore?? Did he hallucinate the noises Nureyev made when they were in the tomb??

But then of COURSE something would tip the scales and leave Nureyev unable to repress himself any longer, and he’d lie there curled up on his bed and desperately try to stifle his miserable whimpering/pleading noises with a pillow—noises that mean please help, I’m scared, help, where are you, I’m hurting…

Sooo…. do you prefer the Goth and Lover-Of-Life-And-Finer-Things-In-It Dynamic where the Goth ditches their Life-Loving BF(F) in overly dramatic fashion….

let’s talk about this a second. Who does it sound like Eda is describing? Look let’s be honest it totally sounds like something she would’ve said about herself in season one. Remember how cocky and sassy she was?

Not that we didn’t freaking love this, of course. Eda’s confidence is unparalleled 😭

but something about her is different now. She’s no longer hidden away with only herself for company… she’s growing. She’s relearning to love the people around her - to let herself do that. Remember when she said King was her roommate? She didn’t want to assume, wanted to keep a distance to keep the both of them safe - even though they loved each other so much. Now look! She’s adopted him, and Luz! Luz coming into her life helped her relearn the compassion and unconditional love of her childhood, to accept that she could love without hurting anybody. Look at her face now, at the emotion we didn’t get to see for so long.

It obviously hurts. To love and let people love her. But look at her relationship with her sister! They’ve come so far - all Eda had to do was accept that she could take some help. She forgave and forgot so soon, because she honestly just loves her sister so much.

and Raine. Raine Whispers. How long did Eda tell herself to stop loving you, stop hurting the both of you with her love? How quickly she dropped this at seeing your face again, how quickly she admits that you’re so much cooler than she ever could be.

Luz is the reason. She and King are helping show their Owl Mom how to love again. That’s all. Send post.
