I sacrificed myself to save you. I didn't plan to survive. I burnt all the bridges. I intended to break your heart with my death, but that would be all right, because I wouldn't be around to see you. I pretended that you'll mourn me for a while and move on. I convinced myself I was going down in the blaze of glory. That my deed was appreciated. That everything was going to be all right afterwards, and I didn't need to be there to see it.

i was gonna render this today but then i remembered i have finales tomorrow but i really wanted to post this today and then it hit me that i am bound by no rules and i can post whatever i want, finished or not JHJKHDSF (i will probably come back later tomorrow to finish this though)

OK SO ANYWAYS this is my first time posting anything story related about my hanahaki + amnesia au so lemme introduce it to you :P

So in this au lamb chose to give up the crown for narinders freedom, however he isnt happy about this, he knows he should but all he feels is guilt and the 2 got into a conflict of "This isnt right, i dont want you to sacrifice your life for me." and "My life is not worth your freedom."

long story short they both came to an agreement (to the cats dismay) and narinder guided the lamb to the afterlife, EXCEPT this isnt really the afterlife, but its sort of like purgatory, lamb cant rest yet cause they still have unresolved feelings for narinder so they had the option to either accept it, leaving them to the actual after life or deny it, leaving them to reincarnate. lamb ofc chose the latter

They wake up centuries later in an unknown place with their memories wiped out and in a graveyard of some sorts and not too long after they found a cat holding a bouquet while standing next to a grave labelled "lambert"

lamb asked where they are and after a bit of shellshock from narinder he finally responded the 2 quickly became acquainted (though he doesnt tell lamb abt his true identity) w/ each other, narinder offers lamb a place to stay

Another small writing pet peeve:

Up until quite recently in history, sharing a bed was VERY common. Most people, unless very rich, could not afford multiple beds, let alone bedrooms.

I love sexual tension as much as the next person, but 'there was only one room left at the inn, and it only had one bed' only works in modern times (or the future, who knows).

A medieval inn is not like a hotel. Most inns would have shared, dorm-style rooms, The cheapest option was literally just a room where you could sleep on the floor, maybe it held some pallets, and it had a roof and maybe a fireplace and however many people could fit, would fit.

Even if the inn has private rooms; family, friends, aquiantances and even business partners would share beds and/or other sleeping accomodations. Servants would be four to a room, or even a bed. Ladies shared beds with their ladies' maids etc.

I'm on a bit of a Witcher kick at the moment, so; I can kinda see them forking over the expense of a private room (witchers probably don't sleep next to strangers), but the moment Geralt trusted Jaskier, they absolutely shared a bed. Two private rooms is absolute insanity, and if the room had two beds, it would be for four people minimum (so probaly a bit less expensive, but still very dear).

But then, consider this: the couple has been travelling and sleeping together, and suddenly *sexual tension*! And they're in a shared dorm room with a family of five a three travelling salesmen.

Or, person A is incredibly privileged and has always had their own space (their personal servant sleeps in their dressing room) and person B, the warrior type, has never once that they can remember slept without another person's sounds and warmth.
