Every day I become a little more gay by simply being me. But man does it get tiring being the only homosexual in my household...
polychamps wedding when 🗣
People joke about Dazai and Chuuya being romantically experienced or whatever, but I think it's the opposite. Chuuya doesn't know what that stuff is because Mori thinks it's funny
More Zhongven content! Also I was sick real bad so I couldn't answer asks :( I'll get to it soon promise!
Also venti is is saying "lay wine in my grave" in German
Judging by how stoic he is, he obviously must be hiding the wound because he doesn't want people to worry about-
Hmmmm...
Something doesn't add up here. Let's do some more digging. Looking through Arlan's voicelines and character stories turns up nothing useful- in fact, our only scrap of information about Arlan's past is hidden in Asta's second character story. It's almost like Arlan is extremely reluctant to reveal anything personal about himself, and everything we know has to come from third party sources. (Remember in his companion quest when Asta had to emotionally blackmail him in front of us to get him to admit he thought Herta was overbearing? Good times, Good times)
...so he's had this 'wound' since before he met Asta. On a related note, isn't it interesting how his right side, the side with the wound, is almost completely covered up?
You could say there's an entire side to him that's being kept closed off and hidden away from the world. How strange.
Come to think of it, doesn't Arlan's whole deal seem rather familiar? A conspicuously 'foreign' (read: dark-skinned) looking character you meet in the starting area who was absorbed into a wealthy household at a young age?
Kaeya is, of course, from Khaenri'ah, the faction whose war against the gods serves as the inciting incident for Genshin Impact's entire plot.
So, assuming the parallels are intentional, what does this mean for Arlan?
Which faction in HSR might raise a child who knows nothing except violence, for whom generosity and charity are not simply unheard of, but completely alien concepts? Which faction is frequently associated with breaking chains and liberation but also an obsession with continuing the cycle of violence through revenge?
Which Aeon is known to bestow a mark on all THEIR most loyal and dedicated servants?
What sort of power can create a wound that never heals or fades, not even years later?
I'm just saying if I had the blood of Nanook perpetually dripping from a wound on the back of my hand I'd probably want to keep it covered up, too.

I just COULD NOT resist character design analysis.
High res. Top. Bottom.
A zoom in on Smilk's little corner. (I made this chart recently, but I was having theories before his Beast Raid update is crazy what.)
(Newer version of this analysis coming soon...)
Adding this composition analyses, too.
Now, HERE IS MY PREDICTION.
I blame @computerful for dragging me into this mess. You're fucking welcome for connecting the dots out and literally everything for you btw.
I LOVEEE THESE TWO OLD MEN SO MUCH. Oh the first genshin ship I actually got attached too... Zhongven you'll always be famous to me. I genuinely LOVEE the idea of Childe and Hu Tao being Zhongli's kids who just splurge. so much. so so much on him.
I would've draw Yantao with Yanfei being like "You. Did you just spend 300k mora on a new suit?"
"Yeah Mr Zhongli needs it for his date"
"Like. Like THE Mr Zhongli?"
"Yeah"
"Huh."
for such a universally loved ship among genshin players there is a criminal lack of angsty xingqiu content
or- in general, a criminal lack of just xingqiu content
and i get it, he’s a happy character; very outgoing and chivalrous and playful and what are those characteristics if not in regard to someone else?
but he’s also extremely reserved about his family life, a bookworm, a novelist, and overall someone who works himself into passing out in order to not let people down
and not only did this boy revive a dead swords style completely on his own, he’s also an extremely hardworker in general
and no one in-game or outside of this game seems to acknowledge that, no one even ask if he’s ok most of the time. Even during the Iradori Festival when he was randomly falling asleep. It’s always:
“Are you able to do this?” or “Will you be able to finish in time?”
Xingqiu is always the one caring for others, bending himself backwards to make them happy and yet no one ever steps forward to do the same
And yes, he’s a prankster; but he never does anything genuinely harmful or irreversible
what im getting at is; Xingqiu desperately needs to be held and told he’s doing a good job
edit: this could also feed into why Xingqiu doesn’t tell his friends that he’s Zhenyu bc his friends pay attention to Zhenyu
And if they know that Zhenyu is also Xingqiu then there’s that massive possibility that they’ll just gloss over his alter ego as well
Guys the new event has me on a chokehold
yea .
