I was super heavily inspired by those cute pokemon center illustrations... I never get tired of those cute guys

I drew truffles as little my as a small moomin homage bc I love moomins so much omg

I will reiterate that kangaroos are freaking HARD.. not only they have very awkward volume, they also have a mini awkward volume baby to complicate matters...

I kinda wish I made them with just two colors now, but I wanted to get the colors similar to newer gens, maybe I will revise them eventually

I admire people who can draw shells, cloyster was so freaking hard to get in a convincing angle...

These guys were fun to draw, but dang, I’m bad at drawing sludge

I remember I really liked the dewgong sprite in gen 1, he was a chonky guy, seel was also so silly looking, I liked encountering them in the ice cave a lot (also easy exp)

I never understood people liking peaches until I drew her, 10/10 would draw her again, also you guys have no idea how hard it is for me to draw kangaroos, so if you like them pls encourage me (not that it will do anything since I’m already done and just posting a million years after)

bird legs are awkward to draw for me, I feel like I made them too thick, oh well...

Kinda happy that this guy got an evolution, I’m looking forward to draw him.

Also as a side note, before coming to live in the US I thought he was holding a scallion because I never saw a leek before...

Sylvanna (Monpe) is like... a design dream for me, she’s so cute my flowers are watered, my axolotl comedian fed, my skin cleared...

I know how everyone likes to bash these two as unoriginal and lazy designs, but I was kind of surprised at how difficult magneton is to draw...

also I bought some strong magnets the other day and let me tell you, I truly think those things evolve by sticking together

slowpoke used to be one of my faves, the silly vacant expression and colors were just so cute to me

when I draw pokemon that are clearly based on real animals, I try to find references of those animals for proportions and whatnot… when I saw the “are you wearing the chanel boots“ meme a million years ago I knew i had to save it for this moment
