Reigen game sprite I saw in my dream
i have a reigen plush on my purse and my 70 yo mawmaw has really liked it so i bought her one. she put it on hers and she said she’s gonna bring him to church because “he is dressed for it” and very cute & handsome. she got out of the car and she said, “oh my little reigen i wont leave you alone im coming back i promise.” she has not watched a single episode of mob psycho 100 and does not know who this man is.
OK, you are probably all wondering where the letters for yesterday and today have been. Well, seeing how I have recently realized that I am using a lot of information in these letters that the majority of English-speaking fans has no access to, I have decided to share with you one of my primary sources that I refer to for questions regarding the inner working of the current Persona Universe:
Enter the “Persona 3 Club” Book (ペルソナ倶楽部 - P3 - Persona3). This book was released in December 2006, just a few months after the initial release of Persona 3. It is often mistakenly referred to as an “Artbook”, but this couldn’t be further from the truth.
In reality, the first chapter of this book is a recap of Persona 1, Persona 2: Innocent Sin and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, commented by Kazuma Kaneko. The majority of the following chapters contain character profiles of all of Persona 3’s characters and a collection of selected fanart and fanfic regarding the Main Characters, as well as the occasional Yonkoma.
However, what’s most interesting and relevant to me is the last chapter of the book. Pages 174 to 207 form the “World Guide Q&A”. This section, written by an Atlus Staff Member, reveals a lot of important backstory and supplementary information regarding the inner workings and rules of the current Persona Universe, especially regarding Nyx, Deities, Shadows, Plumes of Dusk, and much more. The Information given in this “World Guide” chapter is definitely canon. This is proven by the fact that, though this book was published in 2006, many of the concepts first mentioned in it have since implemented into the games. It indirectly explained Erebus before there was a P3FES, the Shadow Selves before there was a Persona 4, and a lot of information quickly dumped onto us in Ultimax actually originated from this book as well (and was also much better explained in it.) It can thus be assumed that Persona 5 is probably going to be using concepts from it as well.
Seeing how the “World Guide Q&A” is written in a dialog-style which fits quite well with the format of the letters on this blog, I’ve decided to translate it in the same way I’m writing letters for this blog, using sprites instead of names to indicate who is speaking. Aside from that, this is an absolutely authentic translation of the book’s contents, as far as my abilities allowed it, and I am paying great attention to not mistranslate anything that is said, so this translation will be usable as a reference for the Fandom
That said, enough with the introductions! Follow me under the cut to take a look at facts about the Persona Series that were never officially released for an English-Speaking audience! Have fun and enjoy! ♪

Q1. What are your grades at night school? What's your best subject?
A. I'm best at language and history. My grades aren't bad, but I'm not trying to compete with anyone.
Q2. How did you end up at Spirits and Such?
A "If you have nowhere to go, how about you work here?' Seems like other people got that offer too, but I guess I'm the only one who took it.
Q3. What do you usually talk about with Reigen?
A. Things we liked eating at the konbini recently and so on. He often asks me about what's going on at school, or about games and anime that are good for passing time.
Q4. Do you plan to keep working at the consulting office? A. It's rare for me to get hired, so I'll keep working there as long as my employment period lasts. I don't really know what I'm capable of doing, so it's enough that I have a job I can do.
Q5. Do you stay awake for New Year's or do you sleep when the time comes?
A. Awake.
Q6. Who did you talk to most when you were in Claw?
A. The President and Shou, I guess. They have very different personalities, but they treat everyone equally. I'm the kind of person other people usually look down on, so I can tell.
Q7. What's your alcohol tolerance? Do you go out when you're free from work?
A. I don't drink. Reigen doesn't either. We went out for drinks once, and we basically licked the surface of our beers before we started going madly at the edamame. Actually, Reigen fell asleep in the store just like that.
Q8. Serizawa-san, you're reliable and trusted by your boss. Give some advice to the rest of us working adults!
A. When you're just starting out, it's enough just to be able to say hello, thank you, and apologize! But doing these correctly is actually rather difficult.
Q9. What did you do with your first paycheck?
A. Reigen-san lent me money for my suit, so I used it to pay him back.
Q10. Is there anything you wish Reigen-san would stop doing?
A. At first, I thought he kept farting loudly and with no hesitation. Even if he's my boss, I'd hope that he can at least control the volume. It seems like that was actually the sound of the chair being in poor condition and rubbing against the floor, though, so hope he can fix the chair. Also, wish he'd stop joking around when there's dangerous evil spirits in front of him. Kageyama-kun says those aren't jokes, but if that's the case, there's really some situations I don't understand.
Q11. What's the most useless information you learned from Reigen?
A. He said there was a secret method to eating pizza without burning your mouth and then immediately burned his mouth. Also, there's supposed to be some trick to throwing salt around...? My school exams are coming soon and I'd like to remove those memories from my memory, even though I respect him very much.
Having ADHD is so fun because sometimes youre looking for something that you use regularly and definitely put away in a smart and reasonable place and you have absolutely 0 hope of remembering where and finding it. And then other times ur like "hmm I need a some kind of small pointed object. I feel like i remember seeing a paperclip under the left couch cushion a month ago, i wonder if its still there" and it is
I think a lot less people would have misunderstood Papyrus as being ignorant/naive if his funny scenes weren't followed up by his brother taking a more serious tone to ask us to be nice to him. It frames Papyrus's shenanigans as less of a deliberate joke and more of a thing he simply can't help.
We know that Papyrus is not stupid, of course, so why does he act this way? Why does he act like Papyrus needs him to go behind his back?
(he says this in response to us saying papyrus isn't cool, but otherwise a funny thing to say cuz Papyrus uses a fair amount of sarcasm, which other characters don't seem to get he's doing, and if you don't get that someone is being sarcastic you might end up thinking they're stupid)
Maybe he's doing this "for" Papyrus because Papyrus pushes him to do stuff, so he feels like he needs to do something he can?
That said, weird how he expects us to also find it weird that Papyrus is being told flattery
how canon is it that L dislikes being touched? I've seen it mentioned a few times and I think it might be in the how to read but the how to read also has a few contradictions to canon. all I can remember without rereading the whole manga is that he definitely touched light during the yotsuba arc... does he actually dislike people aside from light touching him or is it a fanon thing?
Hello!
L's true feelings are usually left pretty ambiguous and up for interpretation for most things, and much of the time all the audience can do is guess about it based on his behaviour and his body language. He doesn't make physical contact with anyone in the manga too often, so it's pretty easy to remember the rare moments when he does. I personally don't really see him as completely touch averse, though he probably also isn't that used to physical contact with others. He might just be acting more reserved due to the specific circumstances of the Kira investigation, too. We must remember L is mostly interacting with everyone in canon either as their colleague/boss or because they are his suspect, so it is hard to know if he would behave differently in different circumstances. But he doesn't seem to balk at casual things like shaking hands with Light after the tennis match, for example:
Nor about slyly snagging Misa's cell phone from her back pocket (and maybe goosing her on purpose at the same time):
The other main instances I remember of L being touched are:
-When Aizawa grabs his shoulder during Misa's first broadcast. L appears to be distressed and to shy away from it/fold in on himself more, but this is possibly just due to the stressful nature of the scene or because Aizawa was being fairly aggressive about it:
-When Misa kisses him on the cheek and grabs his hand to dance. He appears to get a bit flustered, but he is also still making ironic jokes about their "friendships" (I think he is being sarcastic for the vast majority of this scene), so make of that what you will:
-When Light fist-fights with him, and when Light grabs him by the shoulders to make important points to him:
L is never the one to physically start the violent altercations with Light, but he isn't shy about fighting back with all his might either. And I think he might even purposely antagonize Light into these fights sometimes with his insulting words as well, but it's not something that we know for sure.
-There is also a moment in the manga where L grabs Matsuda's hand to stop him from telling Light the truth when he is in confinement:
-And a moment where L leans on Light's shoulder in a genuinely friendly way when they're making a breakthrough in the case:
I think the anime also added a few quirks to L regarding his physical contact with others. The anime put in a scene of him shyly tugging on Light's shirt sleeve to get his attention, and a scene of him looking lustfully at Misa's TV commerical / taking his frustration out on a banana peel, and of course the scene where he gives Light a foot massage on the stairs. The Relight anime OVA also showed L wiping his hand clean after shaking hands with Light, which I thought was a bit too campy/unsubtle for him, more like something Beyond Birthday would do 😆
Overall I think it's easy to interpret him either way about this stuff, but in the manga I don't find he comes off particularly phobic about it. He is probably a bit shocked and suspicious about affectionate gestures from his suspects, and he is defensive when being touched aggressively, and civil when being touched civilly. None of his reactions are unusual considering the context of the interactions, and he doesn't appear to think twice about the little ones he instigates like handshakes or shoulder pats, either.
Light hated Near so much because he served cunt all along the way. Imagine you are a mass murderer and you brainswashed everyone with your supposed new world or Empire. But then, they tell you that two victorian looking orphans who are genius and also barely eighteen years old are stepping on you.
Near: anyone who believes the second L is Kira please call me
Light: bitch what the fuck
imagine trying to tell light yagami a knock-knock joke and before you can even get to the punchline he's already pulling this shit
Beyond and L die in 2004 in the manga and in 2007 in the anime. BUT we dont know beyonds birth year! We know two for L! In the manga L is born in 1979 and in the anime he is born in 1982. BUt in The L.A. BB murder case files Naomi does nto recognize Beyond during her assault because he is not wearing make up, and she thinks he looks quite young. She assumed “Rue Ryuzaki” to be older than this attacker
this is a multiple problem in algebraic form to figure out Beyonds estimated age.
(2004-1979)=X=(2007-1983)
Conclusion X =25 L is ALWAYS 25 when he dies
NOW we take into account Beyonds book takes place during 2002. We can assume that this is the case in both anime and manga.
So give nall this information
Beyonds estimated birth year formula should look like this
(2004-y)=(~20)=(2007-y)
The formula for finding a birth dates is
(Current Year) - (Age in Years) = ~Birthyear This is only approximate because we do not know the month or date of Beyonds birth until given
Given this math formula Beyond Birthday is 20 years or younger during the L.A. BB murder case files or his death. He died at or under the age of 20
Arataka Reigen kept a packet of cigarettes in his left side drawer.
It was a new pack each morning, and a cheap one, bought at the gas station along with a plastic-wrapped sandwich for his lunch. He’d tear off the seal, toss them into the drawer, and pretend to forget about them for as long as he could manage. When Reigen would open the drawer, he would hesitate and think better, and grab a pen or paperclip or post-it stack instead. He did this again and again, sliding the drawer open and closed until the cigarettes rolled loose from their pack and spread around the drawer like so many blunt pens.
He could do this for maybe an hour in the morning until, antsy and alone, Reigen would finally pull the first cigarette from the drawer. And he would be quiet in lighting it, hunched in so no one could see. He would smother his thoughts in the first searing puff, then sit there silently, pulling long drags and listening to his own breath for company. After a while he would put it out. Then he would pause, and think, and press the pads of his fingers together in consideration before pulling the second cigarette from the drawer. He would light it, and pull from it, and listen to his breath, and think about what sort of people might walk in today. Whether or not he would speak with anyone else for the rest of the day. He would finish the pack by 5pm every day. It touched everything, and the wallpaper stunk like smoke.
Arataka Reigen smoked when he was alone. And he was almost always alone.

The Characters & Such Official Guidebook was released mid-April 2019 as a guide for all things related to MP100 season 1 & 2. The guidebook also includes interviews with the voice actors of the main five characters (Mob, Reigen, Dimple, Ritsu, Teru), followed by interviews with Director Tachikawa, Series Coordinator Seko, Character Designer Kameda & finally with ONE himself.
Contains a bunch of interesting trivia and conversations (eg. Tachikawa and Kameda looked at fan art before they began the anime, an alternative past for Reigen was once considered, plenty of references to S3 & broccoli arc.) This is a pretty long read, so please enjoy!

hey what happened to Teru's parents? or if it wasn't revealed then what are your headcannons?
oh my goodness I’ve spent so much time in fanon that I can’t really remember how much we know about Teru’s parents in the actual canon of the story jkljklKSLDFSDF
there are a lot of theories about Mr. and Mrs. Hanazawa floating all over the place, and close to none of them are good. the Hanazawa parents don’t play a major part in the story because they simply aren’t around. It’s implied that they simply left and are paying for Teru’s livelihood overseas (canon/fanon mishap, please correct me if I’m wrong), but they aren’t a presence in the story and–more importantly–his life.
Which of course is why so many people (myself included) practically dive headlong onto the “Reigen becomes the parental figure that Teruki never had” bandwagon, because he’s never had a parental figure in his life before, and Reigen definitely fits the bill.
my own headcanon? Teru’s parents were freaked out by the “psychic” gimmick and with their kid being the target of a dangerous organization, so they removed themselves from the situation and left him to fend for himself. which he did. but he shouldn’t have had to do it alone.
(and of course now, he’s finally surrounded by so many people that love and care about him, and he won’t have to be alone again.)
What if we lived in this world
His honesty is admirable
I saw your meme (https://www.tumblr.com/maxladcomics/185940463745)a year or two ago, died laughing, made a meme in response, and promptly forgot about it like a numbskull. Then I recently saw a UT meme and it rattled my memory. Hope you enjoy!
YES THIS IS PERFECT
I absolutely LOVE UnderFell and how it twists the story of UnderTale.
Even though it’s still limited in Info, I love the fact that Asgore was the reason for Chara’s death. Cause in that case, does that mean that the ‘Game Over’ screen is Toriel and Asriel trying to encourage Chara to keep going? Is it just Asriel? Or— the funniest idea in my opinion— is Asgore just telling Chara to hurry up and die?? 💀
Like, you hear the Game Over music along with the screen… and then the text just reads: “Human Scum, why are you still breathing? It would just be better if you died, Chara. Give up, you home-wrecker” 💀💀
Nice argument bro. Unfortunately for you, the meteor is coming
small similarities between reigen and sans:
1. banger music themes
2. both try to protect the kid who could potentially destroy everything
3. a horizontal slash
+ … the queen incident
Reigen would start tweaking out 🤣

@wiishfulthinking was sans and I was papyrus 😂sorry not sans and papyrus thats serve and cuntpyrus
Sans was probably losing his mind at the "Egg-husband!" joke that Asgore said in Deltarune and was holding in the most hysterical laugh known to man, kinda like this
I wish each individual chapter of a fic on AO3 had the date when it was posted, rather than just when the fic was first posted and when the last update was.
That way you can see at a glance how often a WIP is updated, whether it’s fairly regularly or with huge long gaps between chapters; or if the first 20 chapters were posted in quick succession but the most recent couple were posted at long intervals, indicating that the writer is losing interest and may not finish, etc.

*This is a two part theory. The first part is a theory that you may have heard before, but it ties into the second theory, so it’s a necessary refresher. Hopefully, the second part is something new and mind-blowing. If it isn’t, then I offer you a conciliatory egg (terms and exclusions apply).
*In UNDERTALE, there are seven human SOULs, six of which we are able to see during the course of the game. We know the names and colors of these SOULs: Integrity (Blue), Perseverance (Purple), Patience (Cyan), Kindness (Green), Justice (Yellow), Bravery (Orange). Since the fallen human, Frisk’s SOUL is colored red when it appears for battle, it has long been assumed that the seventh SOUL color is Red paired with the trait of Determination.
*There are a few problems with this theory. The first issue that arises involves the SOUL colors being associated with the words. When the SOUL trait of Bravery is mentioned (during Ball Game) it appears in the color Orange. When Determination is mentioned in the game, the color used is Gold, not Red. Entry Number 5 in the True Lab describes Determination as the “will to keep living” and the “resolve to change fate.” In the game, Save Points, which epitomize Determination, are also colored Gold.
*The best evidence for the Determination SOUL being Gold rather than Red occurs when we compare this screenshot from Undertale:
*with this screenshot from Deltarune:
*Though they aren’t quite in the same order, the flowers in Deltarune correspond with the human SOULs from Undertale, and the seventh flower is Gold. This reinforces the theory that the color of Determination is Gold, not Red. So why is Frisk’s SOUL Red during battles, and why is Kris’ SOUL Red when they remove it and throw it into the cage?
*I have a theory (below the cut):
*Here’s the tea (in theory). Red is the color that a human SOUL turns when a Player is controlling it. It’s not a trait color. It’s a unique magic color not associated with a SOUL trait at all.
*The first evidence of this theory starts at the beginning of the game. You are asked to choose a name for the Fallen Human. We know the character that we play as is named Frisk, so this doesn’t really make sense, does it? If you choose the name Frisk, you activate Hard Mode, which ends at the Ruins. Odd. Unless… Frisk, the character we play, is not the same as us, the Fallen Human.
*What could this mean? It could mean that we, humans, have Fallen into Undertale… the game. This also implies that Frisk is, in fact, a nonbinary character and does not use they simply because they are our avatar.
*The next evidence involving the color Red is Ball Game. The words Ball Game appear in Red, while each SOUL trait appears in its corresponding color. You are awarded a red flag for completing the game. If you get the red flag more than once, you are reminded:
*Interestingly enough, you cannot play Ball Game in the Genocide Route. Also, in the Genocide Route, when you look in the mirror, it says “It’s me, <the name you chose>.” This seems to indicate that when you play that Route, you are doing something which does not fall into Frisk’s character since in the other Routes when Frisk looks in the mirror it says “It’s you.” Also, in the True Pacifist epilogue, once we are no longer controlling Frisk’s important decisions, the mirror says:
*The strongest evidence (in my opinion), is presented during our battles with Papyrus (and Sans), Undyne, Muffet, and Mettaton. The human SOUL changes colors and this affects how the SOUL acts in battle. It is possible that Frisk has a Gold SOUL which is colored Red because you (the Player) are controlling it. Another interesting fact is that during Undyne’s battle, the action that you cannot use (FLEE) and the strategy you (the Player) need to use to win are presented in the color Red.
*This also ties into Deltarune. When Kris rips the SOUL out of their chest, it is Red… and you (the Player) are able to move it within the cage! In Deltarune, there seem to be an awareness of a Player controlling the actions of the characters (some text which indicates that they are dissatisfied with decisions or actions). Kris may be removing the Player-controlled SOUL because they are aware of it.
*This has some interesting implications considering what happens afterwards. After our control is removed, Kris would supposedly now, finally, be in control of themself… and it’s a bit scary.
(Hoping @nochocolate sees this even though they are not active.)
It took me a while to realize it, but Sans and Papyrus have differently shaped bones. (Not to mention the artistic stuff Papyrus gets up to in his ‘absolutely normal attack’.) Fittingly, Sans’ are wider and rounder, while Papyrus’ are thinner and more angular.
When I realized this, I immediately checked videos of the Lost Souls segment and confirmed: Papyrus is the only one of them to attack. Sans stands passively, apathetically aside.
But before the final fight begins, when everyone’s trapped in vines and fending off Flowey’s attacks, the bone flung up isn’t Papyrus’. It isn’t Sans’. It isn’t shaped like EITHER ONE’S attacks.
It’s lopsided and looks like a combination of their bones. The left’s a little lump but has a thinness like Papyrus’, the right’s more rounded like Sans’, with the angles of the epiphyses switched around. It looks like they worked in sync, flinging up a bone at the same time, in the same place. A combined bone attack.
It’s not just that it’s one of Papyrus’ attacks, mishapen from being flung in a rush to save the human; there’s nothing off about Undyne’s spear, Alphys’ electricity, or Toriel’s or Asgore’s fire.
So this is a continuation of what others have already pointed out: Papyrus and Sans share a lot of attack patterns and habits. Well enough that their attacks can work in the same space, functioning as one; at least when they’re acting to save a friend from a specific directional danger. Even though it’s lopsided and not quite symmetrical, the bone works well enough.
I want to consider this evidence toward the theory that the skeleton brothers are secretly the separated halves of a scientist named G*****… but it’s not conclusive enough alone. Any thoughts?
