My view of Depression

One day my therapist Rebecca asked me if I liked being depressed; I was honestly shocked that she would ask me that, but she did. I told her what she wanted to hear; or what she’d hope to hear, no. Well is wasn’t a straight no, it was an “I don’t know” , a very noticeably fake giggle, and then a no But the honest truth is, I do like being depressed. I like being depressed because I think it gives me a constant “mirror’ of myself. I like what I see in my subconscious mirror. And it allows me to be constantly lost in my thoughts. I like being lost in my thoughts. There’s no better or worse place then my mind. My thoughts. They’re so fake it’s real to me. And they just seem better then anything else in the world.
