Fuck moon’s taking poison damage
Dear everyone who is currently working on a Thing, whatever that Thing may be,
Good luck with the Thing. You can do the Thing. You will do the Thing. You just have to do the Thing.
Best wishes,
Someone who is also doing a Thing
A big thanks to maru for taking care of the full coloring of this comic since i wasn't feeling so well
She deserves full appreciation and love for being such good and skillful artist edit:
I've seen a lot of people take scar's "what happened in third life?" question and interpret it as scar not remembering third life—which makes for a very fun idea
however, I'd like to offer:
scar and grian’s entire interaction is the two of them trying to gauge where they stand with one another. grian’s hesitant “…just like in third life” is a silent question, both trying to discern if scar remembers the desert, and how he feels about it. it’s his hesitant foot forward
scar remembers third life—of course he does. he knew so many of the answers to the questions. he remembers every little detail of that game, because it was probably where he was happiest
he only asks grian “what happened in third life?” because it's a test. he's testing the waters between them, now standing as two victors on equal footing, equal ground. he plays dumb because it's scar, and he never shows every card in his hand, every trick up his sleeve. before scar takes any kind of step forward, he needs to know how grian will explain the desert, what he’ll say about it.
he asks “what happened in third life?” but there’s more questions lying in it. “do you still care?” “am I safe to trust you with my heart?” “did it mean something to you?”
scar is sneaky like that, subtle, as he pretends he doesn’t know or doesn’t remember. he needs to see what grian’s reaction is before they take up their dance again
This is how Shen yuan learned English for sure
i need them to interact. do you see the vision
Guys, I found this while cleaning my room:
Whoever lost it, please let me know so I can give it back.
they are canceling me for the way i deal with grief. also, for the infinite number of destroyed universes
I feel like both Mr. "Use Me As You Wish" Aventurine and Dr. Veritas "I'm A Supporting Character" Ratio both have self-esteem problems. How do they prove their worth to the Trailblazer? Aventurine—by showering us with expensive gifts. Ratio—by offering academic opportunities, technical help, his consultation, and so on.
Imagine them together in a relationship (as friends or something more), constantly feeling inadequate, trying to prove their worth to each other the only way they know. Caught in an ever-escalating endless exchange of extravagant but useless gifts:
"I just happened to come by this diamond-encrusted marble inkwell. I thought you might like it, Doc."
"My friend Professor So-and-so is conducting a lecture series on "The history of monetary chance-based recreational activities in post-inductrial societies" next month. I thought you might be interested, so I asked him to reserve a place for you."
"I had my tailor embroider golden laurels on your favorite lab coat."
"I took the liberty to install a nanoprocessor and a holographic screen on your gun so that you could read the latest news while practicing at the shooting range."
