Adeline could still feel it, the sharp teeth sinking into her ankle, the fear that made her cry and sweat, the heat brushing against her exposed neck, and the weight of the beast pinning her down into the wet dirt. Helpless, scared, confused, feeling it all at once has left her hysterical, nearly pissing her pants, running from the darkness that clouded her mind.
