♕ Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II (2002 - 2005): The tiara was passed down to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II when her mother Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother passed away in 2002, along with the rest of the Queen Mother’s jewels.
♕ Her Royal Highness Camilla The Duchess of Cornwall (2005): The Duchess was loaned the tiara from her mother-in-law Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for the Norwegian State Visit & also her first tiara appearance as a member of the British Royal Family.

𝒟𝑒𝓈𝒾𝑔𝓃:
The Delhi Durbar Tiara was designed with remains of another tiara & some other smaller jewels - a tradition of Queen Mary when creating tiaras. The remains used were from a diadem tiara made for Queen Mary by Boucheron in 1901 after a visit to South Africa, when she had been given a present that consisted of diamonds from the De Beers Mine. The new Delhi Tiara was set in both platinum & gold but also had diamonds that formed lyres & s-scrolls that would overlap diamond festoons. The tiara is a complete circle that wraps around the head. The Delhi Durbar Tiara was originally set with 10 Cabochon Emerald Drops that are located on top of the tiara. These emeralds are a part of the famous Cambridge Emeralds set that once belonged to the grandmother of Queen Mary. Mary had acquire the emeralds after they were left to her late brother Prince Francis of Teck’s mistress Ellen (neé Constance) Needham. After Mary acquired the emeralds, they were used to create the tiara but were removed from the tiara in 1922. The emeralds were not sat aside though! The emeralds were used for the dangling emerald drops in the The Grand Duchess Vladimir Tiara or they are used for uprights on The Kent Diamond and Pearl Fringe Tiara left to The Duchess of Kent. The Cullinan III & IV Stones were used as temporary centerpieces of the tiara. The 94.4 carat pear-shaped Cullinan III stone was an upright in the top center & the 63.6 carat Cullinan IV stone was placed in the front center. The tiara could have the 2 stones that could be worn or could be worn with 1 stone. There is another centerpiece for the tiara, as no one has used the Cullinan stones since Queen Mary. This tiara went under minor changes before Queen Mary loaned the tiara to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother. While the tiara has not made an appearance after 60 years in the vault, it made a new appearance with Her Royal Highness Camilla The Duchess of Cornwall for the Norwegian State Visit. This tiara has always seemed in medium size when past queens have worn it, but it’s actually very large in size. The tiara has a layered effect that is created by the festoons on top of the scrolls.

♕ In 1910, it was decided that the Crown Jewels were not allowed to leave the United Kingdom.
♕ Even though she had paid for her own hew crown his coronation, the Tiara was designed for Her Majesty Queen Mary. This meant that this tiara was not a part of the Crown Jewels.
♕ Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II allowed The Delhi Durbar Tiara to be exhibited. After 60 years in the vault, the tiara would make a new appearance on a new member of the the royal family.
♕ When The Duchess of Cornwall was seen wearing the tiara in 2005, it caused quite a problem with the public. 3 Queen’s have been possession of this crown & now a duchess marrying a prince (who is the heir to the throne) for both their 2nd marriages? The public did not agree & did not like the way the tiara look as people believed it had been altered. The tiara was not altered at all & is still a circlet style tiara.

♕ Her Royal Highness Princess Alice The Duchess of Gloucester (1935-1972): A wedding present from her mother-in-law Her Majesty Queen Mary for her wedding to His Royal Highness Prince Henry The Duke of Gloucester. She inherited the Pink Topaz part of the tiara when Queen Mary died in 1953.
♕ Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II: Inherited the Cullinan V Brooch of the Tiara as she was the first granddaughter of Queen Mary through her father His Majesty King George VI.
♕ Her Royal Highness The Princess Margaret Countess of Snowdon: Inherited the Sapphire Brooch of the Tiara as she was the second granddaughter of Queen Mary through her father His Majesty King George VI.
♕ Her Royal Highness Birgitte The Duchess of Gloucester (1972 - Present): The Duchess inherited the The Gloucester Honeysuckle Tiara from her mother in law Her Royal Highness Princess Alice The Duchess of Gloucester. The Duchess wears the tiara with the Diamond Honeysuckle, The Pink Topaz, & an Emerald that’s surrounded by diamonds. This is the most common tiara the duchess wears out of her 6 tiaras.

Some of the jewels of the Honeysuckle Tiara were taken off of the Surrey Tiara & plus new jewels that were bought were included in the new tiara. It was made to have an Interchangeable Graduated Center element as Queen Mary was known to change the jewels of her tiaras when worn. The Frame of the Honeysuckle Tiara was made from diamonds & had palmette motifs that lead up to a large center. The center of the tiara could be the heart shaped Cullinan V Brooch, a Diamond Brooch, a Sapphire Brooch, or a Pink Topaz Brooch. Over time, the tiara has been altered which included lowering the tiara & removing some of the diamonds from the center. The tiara was passed down from Queen Mary to Princess Alice The Duchess of Gloucester & was altered once again. The center of the tiara, had a diamond honeysuckle which went along with the rest of the motifs of the tiara. The Cullinan V Brooch & Pink Topaz Brooch, were not given to Alice when she received the tiara. The Cullinan V Brooch was inherited by Queen Elizabeth,

♕ Some believe that the The Gloucester Honeysuckle Tiara was one of the items that came from the estate of Tsarina Marie Feodorovna of Russia (sister of Queen Alexandra). This was believed of the tiara due to the shape of the piece that does resemble some kokoshnik-style Romanov tiaras,
♕ Some of the jewels of The Gloucester Honeysuckle Tiara come from the County of Surrey Tiara which was also used for The Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara.
♕ The pink gemstone has been called a pink topaz, but it is apparently a kunzite. A Kunzite is a stone that had been discovered only a decade before the tiara was created.

Every celebrity in the world has a net worth. A Net Worth means what they actually have in material sense: houses, lands, funds, money coming from royalties in movies or endorsements. It is also refferring to what they have left after they have paid expenses. But with Princess Charlotte & Prince George they are only children so why would they have a net worth?? That I can’t explain but from what has been calculated by companies, Princess Charlotte is worth $2 billion more than her brother coming in at $5 billion, while Prince George is worth only $3 billion even though he is first born. But we all love the Cambridge trio of children equally! I mean who wouldn’t love the 3 cuties?! 😍
Prince Charles has always stood by royal protocols & life rules but definitely changed it up for his boys. Royal Men have never been in the delivery room, while a Royal Woman was giving birth. That is until Prince Charles & Princess Diana during his first pregnancy with William. Prince Charles was in the room with Diana as she gave birth to William on Monday June 21st, 1982 at St. Mary’s Hospital in London.
Prince Charles Quote: “I am so thankful I was beside Diana’s bedside the whole time because by the end of the day I really felt as though I’d shared deeply in the process of birth.”

The Royal Family is known to have meals together every day or every night. With the Royal Family being late is not a good trait to have or a good impression on anyone especially the Queen. Although one member was known to be late. While she was still alive, the Queen Mother tended to be late for dinner! The family would have to tell her that dinner was 15 minutes earlier than the original time, so she would show up on time!

Hey Y’all! I know it’s been a while but life went from slow with nothing happening to absolutely crazy! So here’s an update on life & posting!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Y’all big things are coming for my family & I!
1. I passed both of my job interviews! My co-workers are so sweet & even though I’ve only met my boss & one co-worker I know I’m going to love everyone! I just have to take a drug test & do a background fingerprint screening which happens next week! I’m so incredibly happy!
2. I’m going through a lot with family both good & bad situations. I’ll start with the good though. My cousin’s baby shower went great & was so incredibly adorable plus I got to help with set up & got to wear a cute dress that I own. We celebrated my grandfather’s (my mom’s father) 80th birthday & will soon be celebrating my mom’s parents 60th wedding anniversary this upcoming Sunday! My cousin’s wife just started a new job as a registered nurse & got her first paycheck! Also my brother & his girlfriend just celebrated 1 year as a couple & they are happier than ever & I’m so proud of those 2 crazy teens who also will be graduating high school in May 2020! Everyone seems to be growing up so fast & it’s so scary but so great to watch. Now the bad... My dad’s family. My dad’s family has never been kind to my dad, my mom, my brother, & I. They just have been cruel to us since the beginning of 2019 but it just keeps going like they have nothing better to do than to try to tear our life apart. I have now blocked everyone on that side of the family & will no longer talk to them or see them because they don’t deserve my time or attention.
3. My dad, my brother, & I bought our Christmas Tree (A fake tree due to our old fake tree finally breaking last year because we’ve had it for so long)! With Halloween coming to an end, November starting up, & Thanksgiving not being far away, we started decorating for not only Thanksgiving but Christmas! Along with Decorating comes Holiday Sweets & Treats! I have finally got back into baking this month as I have not baked anything in months sadly. I was in a dark space these past few months but I’m finally getting into a more positive space so me baking again was a great sign to my dad, that my mental health was getting better.
5. I go back to college in January! From June 2019 until December 2019, I took a gap semester off college after 3 grueling & intense semesters back to back. My first semester of college Fall 2018 I took 4 classes (Failed 1 class), my second semester in Spring 2019 I took 4 classes (Failed 2 classes), & my third semester during Summer 2019 I took a retake class of the math class I failed in the Fall of 2018 & passed it in the summer. This semester which is Spring 2020, I will be retaking my Spring 2019 retake classes which will be English 2 & Introduction to Humanities (Also called Art History). This semester registration doesn’t start until November, classes don’t start until January 13th, & the semester ends in May. I will be Working at my Middle School & doing school all in one semester. I will be so dead tired, I probably won’t be doing social media a ton.
Hey Y’all! I know it’s been a while but life went from slow with nothing happening to absolutely crazy! So here’s an update on life & posting!
Y’all big things are coming for my family & I!
1. I got a job! My mom got a phone call the other day from a friend of hers who works at the middle school I attended when I was a teenager. The women runs the school’s after school program & asked for me to come help her, as they are looking for more teens to help with the program. I put in my job application on Tuesday, October 29th, 2019 & I find out Wednesday, October 30th, 2019 when my phone interview & my in person interview is! It pays $9 an hour & I would be working Monday through Friday with weekends & holidays off.
2. I created my resume with the help of a magazine that I help with! As y’all know, I am a content & public relations team member for an online magazine called Her Campus. Well, we had a meeting on Tuesday, October 29th, 2019, where us girls could create resumes & cover letters that we would eventually need in the future. It was such a great opportunity to learn how to be an adult & prepare for my future.
3. My brother got into his dream college on Tuesday! My family & I are so excited for his future, as my brother is one of the intelligent, talented, athletic, dedicated, & hard working student I know. My brother is not staying in a dorm though (I don’t either right now for my college) so we will both be living at home, as our 2 colleges are a few minutes from our house. He got in on full scholarship & he’s so incredibly happy!
4. I will be going on a trip to my hometown in November! I haven’t been back since my huge fight with my dad’s family (we no longer speak to his family), so we will be staying in a hotel but we are there just to do things around my hometown but I’m so excited! I missed home a lot & it will be good to go back before I go back to school in January.
5. I go back to college in January! From June until December, I took a gap semester off college after 3 grueling & intense semesters back to back. My first semester of college Fall 2018 I took 4 classes (Failed 1), my second semester in Spring 2019 I took 4 classes (Failed 2), & my third semester during Summer 2019 I took a retake class of the math class I failed in the Fall of 2018 & passed it in the summer. 6. My cousin is having a baby! She announced in a few months ago but the baby is due in January! Her baby shower is next weekend with all of our family so I’m very excited! I can’t wait for this little baby boy to come & our family to grow one person bigger! Also sadly two of cousins, who are both married, their wives had miscarriages this month. We are incredibly heart broken because along with my cousin’s baby, the family was going to grow by 3 little angels. But sadly God had other plans for our family & took 2 of our little angels to heaven before we could meet them. It’s been a hard month for our family but hopefully with the little boy coming soon, we should have some light shine on us.
7. Sickness! Y’all it’s going around. I have been sick, my dad has been sick, my mom has been sick, & some of my friends have been sick. Ugh it’s called cold & flu season for a reason. Also why I haven’t been on Tumblr is due to being sick. Sickness kicked my butt & I ended up sleeping a lot! I’m feeling 100% again so I’m back to freaking feeling normal again & it’s such a good feeling. My dad is still a little bit sick, so healing is taking awhile!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay y’all! I will be catching up on posting in the next few days or so! I will be working on catch up posts from today (Wednesday) to however long it takes me to catch up! Hey y’all! A Little Update on posts! I’m currently writing a scandal Saturday post so be ready for a long but very tea spilling post! This daily post will definitely take a while so please be patient!
Update: This post will go up on Sunday! I’m so sorry y’all. I ended up not feeling very well today (I had a scare on Friday night when I was in a lot of pain. I had pains going from my stomach, to my chest, & all the way to my back). I have been noticing I’m reacting to a lot of foods when I eat & it causes me to feel sick. I’ve been in & out of sleep all Saturday (today) because of not sleeping Friday night due to the pain. I ate a little bit of food today & my stomach has definitely not reacted well. I’ll be posting scandal Saturday on Sunday for this week plus the Sunday post.

We all love how beautiful & bright Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II looks! The Queen’s bright rainbow are actually for a safety reason. With being the Queen, she needs to be able to stand out in the crowd incase something bad does happen. Her bright colors also lightened up the mood/day with anyone she meets or for anyone who sees her.

The wearing of hats is a royal etiquette rules, that dates all the way back to the 1950′s. Though during the 1950′s, women did begin to stop wearing hats when being out in the public area.
𝒞𝓊𝓇𝓇𝑒𝓃𝓉 𝑅𝓊𝓁𝑒
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has kept the tradition of the Wearing of Hats alive. At Formal Engagements such as Weddings, Christenings, The Trooping of Color, & other engagements, women must wear a hat or a fascinator. Though when 6 P.M rolls around, all hats are traded in for Tiaras.

To wear a Tiara for a Formal Night Event (or Wedding), a women (either marrying in or is getting married to an outside) must married. A women wearing a tiara, signifies their relationship status & let’s other men know they are married. A Tiara is a sign of love & the loss of innocence to marriage. A Family Tiara (Example: Diana’s Lover’s Knot Tiara when by Kate) means that the women is now wearing the groom’s jewelry, as a married women is expected to do & means that she has left her family, & has joined a new one. Diana The Princess of Wales, was the last royal bridge to stick to wearing family jewelry, as she had worn her family tiara (The Spencer Tiara) for her wedding to His Royal Highness Prince Charles The Prince of Wales in 1981.
𝒞𝓊𝓇𝓇𝑒𝓃𝓉 𝑅𝓊𝓁𝑒
A Tiara can now be worn before 6 P.M, because a tiara is considered formal attire. This rules has now been changed for the Royal Weddings, which a bride can wear a tiara during the day for her wedding. A tiara is worn at night for formal occasions like Black Tie Receptions, State Dinners, Holiday Dinners, etc. For example, when Megan the Duchess of Sussex attended a Black Tie Reception in Fiji, she could have worn a tiara but did not wear one for the formal event.
When placing a tiara on a women’s head, follow these instructions:
♕ Place the Thumb on the Middle of the Chin & the Index Finger in the Gap between the Eyebrows
♕ Move the Fingers up until the Thumb ends up where the Index Finger was
♕ This is where the Tiara must sit on top of the Women’s Head.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, has to be protected at all times. The Wearing of Gloves, like her colorful wardrobe is another safety precaution. When the Queen attends engagements of her own, she has to shake hands with the people she meets. The Queen wears her gloves to prevent germs! The gloves are made by the royal glove maker, the color of the gloves are either black or white (depending on the outfit), & the gloves are either of cotton or nylon material.

When traveling, both royal men & women are required to carry a black outfit in case of an emergency. This is in the rare case that a family member has died, when they arrived back to England from wherever they have traveled, they are dressed in appropriate fashion. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II learned this lesson the hard way. In 1952, when Her Majesty’s father His Majesty George VI The King passed away. Her Majesty & His Royal Highness The Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh, were in Kenya when the sad news was delivered to then young Princess Elizabeth. The Queen sadly did not have a black outfit with her, so she was forced to stay seated on the plane until an employee could deliver a black outfit for her to wear.
𝒞𝓊𝓇𝓇𝑒𝓃𝓉 𝑅𝓊𝓁𝑒
When traveling, both royal men & women are required to carry a black outfit in case of an emergency. It is rare to see women wear black, when she is traveling outside of the country. Black is mostly worn on Remembrance Day (A day of remembering those who died in battle). We have seen the Duchess of Cambridge, Princess Beatrice of York, Mrs. Jack Brooksbank, & the Duchess of Sussex, have broken out & have worn black outfits to formal & non-formal engagements.

The British Royal Family is always about the women staying in a modest fashion. When a women wears a coat, it must stay on. A lady taking off a coat in a public view, is an unladylike action that she must not break. For Example, if Kate is wearing a coat in the picture below, she must keep it on.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s favorite nail polish cost only $9?! Yes, the Queen’s favorite nail polish is called Ballet Slippers by Essie & is of a nude color. Royal Women must only wear either a pale pink polish or a clear polish, to keep her nails looking beautiful. The Duchess of Cambridge has broken this rule before but used her toes! The Duchess was seen with a red polish on her toes!

A girl always has a good clutch, handbag, or purse on her to keep her necessities like keys, glasses, & makeup in right? Not for the women (especially The Queen) of The British Royal Family.
𝒞𝓊𝓇𝓇𝑒𝓃𝓉 𝑅𝓊𝓁𝑒
Women of the Royal Family, will carry a handbag with her when she does not want to shake hands with whoever she is meeting. The public is not allowed to touch any member of the Royal Family, unless that member makes a move to show they want to hug or shake hands. The handbag is a signal that the women is too occupied to shake hands or hug. Handbags are traditionally carried in the left hand.
𝒮𝒾𝑔𝓃𝒶𝓁𝓈
The Queen will carry a handbag with her wherever she goes but this is for a reason. She uses to quietly send signals to the staff around her. When The Queen wants to leave dinner, she sets her bag on top of the table, letting not only staff but other eaters know that dinner will be over in 5 minutes. When The Queen is in the middle of a boring conversation, she will place her bag on the floor, letting her lady-in-waiting know that she would like to move on.
𝒰𝒽-𝒪𝒽!
When Diana was a member of the royal family, she used her clutch as a slip-up bag. This means, that whenever she would step-up out of cars, that the clutch would be used to shield any view the public could get of her cleavage.

As you see in most every picture, of the shoes the women of the British Royal Family, most shoes are heels! The one heel that is not necessarily banned, but one the Queen herself is not a fan of is Wedged Heels. We have seen The Duchess of Cambridge, where them just a few times with some of her more casual attire.
𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝑅𝓊𝓁𝑒 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝐻𝑒𝑒𝓁𝓈
If a women wears heels to an engagement or official event, there are rules when it comes to picking the right pair of shoes to wear. The Rule for Heels is that the heels must be six inches or under, so that the women is not wobbling around when walking & that the women must not appear too tall for people to notice.

When wearing a dress, it’s common for a women’s legs to be showing. For the British Royal Women, showing leg is okay but it needs to be in a modest fashion. When showing legs in a dress or skirt, women are expected to wear pantyhose or tights for all public outings.
This rule has only been broken twice by the Duchess of Sussex, when she did not wear pantyhose during her November Engagement photos & when she attended Hamilton in London with her husband. She quickly has switched her style to wearing from skipping the tights to making sure she wears them.

Everyone remembers the famous Marilyn Monroe picture with the white dress floating up around her. Well that is why this specific rule is enforced for all dresses of the women of the British Royal Family.
𝒟𝓇𝑒𝓈𝓈 𝐻𝒶𝒸𝓀
For the dresses of the the women of the Royal Family, dresses have been hacked! With each dress, little weights are sewn into the hemlines of the dress. This helps prevents skirts from flying up when a really heavy breeze decides to blow around.
𝒟𝓇𝑒𝓈𝓈 & 𝒮𝓀𝒾𝓇𝓉 𝑅𝓊𝓁𝑒𝓈
Besides having the weights sewn into the hemlines of dresses & skirts, the length of a dress or skirt should always be appropriate. The length of a dress or a skirt, should always be around knee length, which is always 3 or 4 inches above the knee. Besides the length, dresses must not be sleeveless.

𝑀𝑜𝒹𝑒𝓇𝓃 𝐹𝒶𝓈𝒽𝒾𝑜𝓃
As tradition, we all see the women of the Royal Family wearing dresses for every engagement & event they attend. Some of the women though, have begun to not only wear dresses & skirts, but have begun to incorporate Jeans, Business Pants, & for some engagements Sports Pants. Queen Elizabeth doesn’t prefer pants so she sticks with dresses & skirts. Jeans are only allowed at the most casual events though like if the women will be outside all day.

The British Royal Family & other royal families around the world are known for their state tours to other countries. When traveling to other countries, women will show respect to that country but not only doing engagements, but by wearing fashion created by designers from that country. Whether it’s a brooch, a full outfit, just accessories, colors, for following the fashion rules of that country (Recent Example: head scarf wore in Pakistan), it’s a respectful gesture.

𝒟𝑒𝓃𝒾𝓂 𝒲𝑒𝒶𝓇
For engagements & events, Women of the Royal Family typically have the same fashion: blazers, cardigans, trousers, & dresses/skirts. Denim is typically not seen in Royal Fashion (Mentioned Above in Modernized Fashion) of the women. Denim is typically worn only for private life like being at home or being out in public without the press knowing. Again, The Duchess of Sussex has broken out of the fashion protocol but not only wearing jeans like other royal women, but including denim tops with her jeans in a double denim fashion.

The British Royal Family is photographed every time they go out in public, whether it’s a wedding, a christening, an engagement, or an official event, so their fashion style will be talked about. The women will always want to look put together with whatever they wear, so fabrics of outfits must be chosen carefully. When styling an outfit, women will typically wear a fabric that does wrinkle & crease easily like Linen & Silk. Heavier fabrics like tweed & wool are typically chosen to wear because they are more durable.

The British Royal Family is photographed every time they go out in public, whether it’s a wedding, a christening, an engagement, or an official event, so their hygiene & appearance will be talked about. The hair & makeup of the British Royal women, should always look effortless, natural, & near. Royals will never have loud hair colors or shocking updos. In The Duchess of Cambridge, we are always see a change in hairstyle but it’s always looking neat, whether it’s a Parted Blow Out, Big Curls, An Updo like a Ponytail or Bun, Half Up Half Down, or Bangs.
The Rule of Makeup should always be neat & natural. The example of neat makeup is the Duchess of Cambridge. With the Duchess always has a darker eye but the rest of the face is kept nude & natural.

Fur has always been a huge controversy in fashion whether the women was a famous actress, a common every day girl out in public, or a duchess in the royal family. During the 14th century, King Edward III of England declared that no one could wear fur. The Royal Family today, has not worn a ton of fur following that law. It has though soon up on the occasional coat or hat on a few of the women of the British Royal Family.

Christmas & New Years at Sandringham House
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝐻𝒾𝓈𝓉𝑜𝓇𝓎
Sandringham House is Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Country Estate in Norfolk. In the 1960′s, Queen Elizabeth’s & her children would celebrate Christmas at Windsor Castle. Starting in 1988, Windsor Castle was being rewired, so the Royals traveled to Sandringham for Christmas. The Sandringham Estate is set on 24 Hectares (59.3 Acres) of Garden.
Every year before the stay at Sandringham begins, Queen Elizabeth takes an empty pre-scheduled carriage of the train to from London to King’s Lynn Station in Norfolk. In the Carriage is Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, & Immediate Staff. The rest of the British Royal Family will arrive at a specific time on Christmas Eve, depending on their status. Junior Members arrive first & Important Members (Prince Charles & Camilla, The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge & their children, etc.) arrive last.
After all family members have arrived at Sandringham, the Estate can be quite crowded. Due to The Sandringham Estate not being as large as other royal family residences, some family members end up staying in the staff quarters. Staff will transfer from their normal quarters & live in either estate cottages or surrounding villages.
𝑀𝒶𝓇𝓇𝒾𝑒𝒹 𝒞𝑜𝓊𝓅𝓁𝑒𝓈
When the family arrives to the Sandringham Estate, the only family members invited to Sandringham are Married Couples & children. For example, before William & Catherine were married in 2011, the now Duchess was not allowed to attend Christmas at Sandringham. Mike Tindall (Husband of Zara Tindall) or Jack Brooksbank (Husband of Princess Eugenie) were not invited to Christmas at Sandringham, until they were officially married to their wives. The only Royal Member of the Family who has broken this protocol, is Megan The Duchess of Sussex. She attended Christmas at Sandringham, during the year she became engaged to Prince Harry Duke of Sussex.
The First Royal Christmas Tree was introduced to Sandringham House by Her Majesty Charlotte The Queen. The Tradition was kept going by Her Majesty Victoria The Queen & her husband His Royal Highness Albert Prince Consort. The Tradition of having a Christmas Tree has continued onto this day & Queen Elizabeth will let her grandchildren & great grandchildren help decorate the trees.
The Royal Family has a Large Christmas Tree & also a 30 year old Large Silver Artificial Tree in the Dining Room at Sandringham. All the Christmas decorations stay up until February to honor Queen Elizabeth’s father, King George VI who died on Wednesday, February 6th, 1952.
The day of Christmas Eve, each member of the Royal Family will lay out the presents they bought on the trestle table. The gifts are then exchanged during the Afternoon Teatime, when Prince Philip says everyone is allowed to open their gifts. The British Royal Family do have a sense of humor when it comes to giving each other gifts. Members will sometimes give each other joke presents! Example: Kate Middleton once gave Harry a “Grow Your Own Girlfriend” one year! Harry also gave his grandmother a shower cap with the saying “Ain’t life a b**ch.”
♕ 𝐹𝒶𝒸𝓉: Her Majesty does her Christmas Gift & Decorations Shopping at Harrods! The store would stay open after hours so that Queen Elizabeth could shop on her own.
♕ 𝐹𝒶𝒸𝓉: The family’s favorite treat during their Afternoon Christmas Eve Teatime is the Jam Penny Sandwiches. The Jam Penny Sandwiches are jam filled sandwiches that are cut into circles the size of an old English penny. (Size Reference Below)
Besides family, The Royal Staff are even given Christmas gifts from Queen Elizabeth & Prince Philip! The week before Christmas, the staff are taken into one of the State Apartments, the Head of Staff announces his annual report of their yearly performance, & the staff are then given their gift. The staff can choose between receiving a gift token or a book token, but in order to receive their gift they must be qualified. The qualification is to been in service of the royal family for over a year & their value increases every year, they serve the royal family. Junior Staff are given a token worth £28 ($36.01) & the token increases up to £35 ($45.02). Besides tokens, the staff is also given Christmas puddings with a greeting card all paid for by the Queen. 1,500 total Christmas puddings are made & distributed.
The family attends a private service just for them at 9 A.M & there is a public service at 11 A.M for anyone who wants to attend. For the Public Service, attendees must pass a security check several months before December.
Just like the rest of the families around the world who celebrate Christmas, the British Royal Family have Christmas meals together. Before the family arrives at Sandringham, each member has to practice their French because the Lunch & Dinner menus are in French. Guests are allowed to bring a dish if they choose to.
♕ 𝐿𝓊𝓃𝒸𝒽: After a morning of reflecting at Church, the family will join together for a big lunch. The Lunch includes Salad with Shrimp or Lobster, Turkey (2 Turkeys that are each 25 pounds), Parsnips, Carrots, Brussel Sprouts, & Christmas Pudding with Brandy Butter.
♕ 𝒟𝒾𝓃𝓃𝑒𝓇: After a long day of festivities, the family will once again join together for a big dinner. Unlike the Christmas Lunch where you order your food, Christmas Dinner is a buffet! Dinner includes Rib Roast, Turkey, Ham, & other delicious dishes. Before dinner begins & the family goes inside the dining room, the senior chef must carve whatever meat is served, present the Queen with a glass of Whiskey, & the Queen says a toast to the family & staff. Children are not allowed at Dinner until they are of proper age of behavior, so the young ones are sent off to the nursery.
The Royal Wedding took place at 12:30PM on Thursday, July 6th, 1893 in The Chapel Royal (Left Picture) at St. James Palace (Right Picture) in London, England
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
𝐸𝓃𝑔𝒶𝑔𝑒𝓂𝑒𝓃𝓉 𝒮𝓉𝑜𝓇𝓎
♕ Previous Engagement: Her Majesty Queen Mary (Top Picture) was engaged before meeting His Majesty George V. Mary had become engaged to His Royal Highness Prince Albert The Duke of Clarence and Avondale (Bottom Picture), the older brother of George. Sadly the wedding never happened, as The Duke had fell ill with the Flu which then took a bad turn, turning the flu into Pneumonia. The Duke passed away on Friday, January 8th, 1892 at The Sandringham House in Norfolk, England.
♕ Staying In The Family - Part 1: Her Majesty Queen Victoria (George’s Grandmother: Left Picture) wanted the then His Royal Highness Prince George of Wales, to marry either Her Majesty Queen Marie of Romania (His Cousin: Middle Picture) or Grand Duchess Victoria Feodorovna (His Cousin: Right Picture). George sadly was not fond of either of the two women & Her Majesty Queen Marie of Romania (Middle Picture) did react to George’s proposal to her by rejecting him.
♕ “I’m Too Young”: Even after his grandmother tried to wed George & his two cousins, the young prince refused to be married. “I still think marrying too young is a bad thing. The one thing I never could do is to marry a person that didn’t care for me. I should be miserable for the rest of my life.” George wrote this to his grandmother stating that he was too young to be married & even if he did marry young, he would marry someone he loved.
♕ Staying In The Family - Part 2: George’s grandmother & Mary had met during her engagement to the now parted Duke, & Queen Victoria was fond of Mary. She had spoken to Mary to see what she would think about marrying her fiancé’s brother. This was very embarrassing for both George & Mary, as Mary’s fiancé's & George’s brother, had only been dead for 1 year & the two were still in mourning. The couple began to feel the pressures of the royal life. Mary began to feel pressure from not only her family but George’s family to be a married woman. George felt the pressure of his new position as second-in-line to the throne, he was still recovering from the proposal rejection of his cousin Her Majesty Queen Marie of Romania, & he also had no idea if Mary even had romantic feelings towards him.
♕ The Proposal: After a long conversation with George’s favorite aunt Olga Constantinovna of Russia (Also known as Queen Olga of Greece: Left Picture), the young duke was urged to propose to his brother’s fiancé Mary. George had help with his proposal from his sister Her Royal Highness Louise The Princess Royal (Middle Picture) & his brother-in-law Alexander Duff 1st Duke of Fife (Louise’s husband: Right Picture). On Wednesday, May 3rd, 1893, Louise had “arranged” to have tea with Mary. When Mary arrived to have tea with Louise, she had found George & Louise waiting for her instead of just Louise. The Princess Royal had suggested that the couple go to the garden to go watch the frogs that lived in the garden pond. The duke then proposed to Mary by the pond & she happily accepted George’s proposal. The couple came to learn how to love & care for each other deeply, despite the stress & heartbreak of the last year.

♕ Morning: That Thursday morning, when George was walking the corridors of Buckingham Palace, he accidentally spotted his bride. As tradition, Bride & Groom are never supposed to see each other (unless a private moment is planned by the couple to meet with each other before the wedding) because it is bad luck. As George spotted Mary, he proceeded to make a low & courtly bow towards the princess, a sweet moment many say that Mary never forgot.
♕ Wedding Party: The Royal Wedding was attended by 5 Bridesmaids, 5 Junior Bridesmaids, & 2 Supporters of The Groom.
♕ Wedding Officiant: The Archbishop of Canterbury Edward White Benson (Left Picture) performed the ceremony. He was assisted by The Bishop of London Frederick Temple (Middle Picture), The Bishop of Rochester Randall Thomas Davidson 1st Baron Davidson of Lambeth (Right Picture), & 5 other priests.
♕ Register Signing Tradition: As Tradition during all Royal Weddings, the Register must be signed. The Register of the Wedding of His Majesty George V The King & Her Majesty Queen Mary was signed by Her Majesty Queen Victoria, The Prime Minster William Ewart Gladstone (Pictured Below), & all other royal personages that were present at the wedding.
♕ Balcony Tradition: As Tradition of all Royal Weddings, the Bride & Groom along with family, made an appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony. Even Queen Victoria made a rare public appearance when she joined the couple on the Balcony.
♕ Official Portraits (Photo is in Order): The Official Painters of the Royal Wedding were Heinrich Anton von Angeli, Laurits Tuxen, & Sir Samuel Luke Fildes
♕ Title Change: As Royal Tradition, the Groom (Sometimes) & Bride’s (Always) Title will change. Mary’s Title changed from Her Serene Highness Princess Victoria Mary of Teck to Her Royal Highness The Duchess of York. George’s Title changed from His Royal Highness Prince George of Wales to His Royal Highness The Duke of York.

♕ Spectators: Since The Wedding of His Majesty George V The King & Her Majesty Queen Mary, was the first public royal wedding in 32 years, the large crowd of spectators spread down the route of travel from Buckingham Palace to St. James Palace. As she arrived at the chapel, Mary gave the crowd a side-ways smile & a wave that made her seem a little nervous about her upcoming vows that were about to take place.

♕ The Designer: In 1891, Mary’s mother Mary The Duchess of Teck announced that not only Mary’s dress but also the bridesmaids dresses would be made in Britain. Arthur Silver of Silver Studios was chosen to design the then Princess’s future wedding gown for when Mary was supposed to marry Prince Albert (But sadly the wedding never happened). Before the dress began, Mary & her mother visited the Warner & Sons’ factory which is located at the Hollybush Gardens in Spitalfields, London. The mother daughter duo asked the factory to make fine white silks with silver thread by Albert Parchment for the dress. Mary’s Second Wedding Dress was crafted by Linton & Curtis of Albemarle Street (A street in Mayfair Central London off Piccadilly).
♕ The First Dress: After Mary’s fiancé had passed away, her “Lily of the Valley” (A highly poisonous woodland flowering plant with sweetly scented, pendent, bell-shaped white flowers borne in sprays in spring) wedding was made public but was abandoned by the family & the designer.
♕ The Second Dress: For Mary’s wedding to George, the design that she chose for her dress was “The May Silks” & would be influenced by Japanese Art. The design of the embroidery of the dress would include emblems of Roses, Shamrocks, Thistle, Orange Blossom, & True Lovers Knots. The front of Mary’s Wedding Gown was made of white satin which had 3 small flounces of old Honiton Lace (A Type of Lace Textile made by braiding & twisting lengths of thread, which are wound on wood or bone bobbins & is made in Honiton, Devon) from the wedding dress of her mother which were located on the top & upper parts of the sleeves. The bodice long, pointed, cut at the throat, made of Arthur Silver’s white & silver brocade, & satin fell from the Princess’s shoulders. The train of the gown was long but plain & Mary wore her mother’s veil, which was also made of Honiton lace & fastened using her wedding gift from Her Majesty Queen Mary, diamond pins. The veil was never used again in another royal wedding. Following the flower theme of the dress, small wreaths were placed around the bust & in Mary’s hair. (A Dark Photo than the one above so you can see the design better)
♕ Royal Jewelry: For her wedding, Mary wore a diamond tiara as a loan from Queen Victoria. Along with the Tiara, the bride wore a Diamond Rivière Necklace from the Prince & Princess of Wales, Diamond Earrings from Prince George, & a Anchor Brooch from Prince George.

♕ The Wedding of His Majesty George V The King & Her Majesty Queen Mary, was the first Royal Wedding to take place in St. James Chapel since the death of Prince Consort Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. Albert was Her Majesty Queen Victoria’s husband but many of the couple’s children married in the St. James Chapel. The cause of death was Typhoid Fever.
♕ The Couple spent their honeymoon at Sandringham, which is George’s estate in Sandringham, Norfolk, England (Top Picture). They stayed at Sandringham until they left for the Osborne House in East Cowes, Isle of Wright, United Kingdom (Bottom Picture).

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, commissioned the Tiara from The House of Garrard in 1973. She used gems that she already had on hand which included: 96 Rubies which were a Wedding Gift from the people of Burma & Diamonds that were on The Nizam of Hyderabad Tiara (another wedding gift for Queen Elizabeth). The rubies are set in gold and the diamonds in silver & the tiara is a wreath of roses separated by rays of diamonds. Each rose is connected by a line of rubies & has a ruby center with diamonds for petals. With the Crown rubies, which were still in the possession of the Queen Mother, it seems logical that the commission by Queen Elizabeth, was aimed to fill a ruby tiara hole in Her Majesty's collection. She needed something of her own to go along with the ruby jewelry she had already either inherited or collected. She had inherited the Crown rubies since the Queen Mother's death in 2002.

The Tiara is an elaborate diamond and pearl tiara. The piece is delightfully flexible & the pearls can be removed, as well as part of the diamond-encrusted structure, allowing it to be worn in a more closed form. The tiara is generally described as "widowed" when worn without its pendant stones. Maria wore the tiara without its pendants as a smaller closed coronet. In 1920, the Vladimir Tiara was damaged during its journey from Russia to England, as some of the pearls and diamonds were missing from the piece. In 1921, Her Majesty Queen Mary purchased the tiara from Her Imperial and Royal Highness Princess Nicholas of Greece and Denmark, Grand Duchess Elena of Russia to have the tiara fixed. 3 years later in 1924, Queen Mary had the tiara re-worked again, so that the Vladimir Tiara adapted so it could be worn in a third setting, with a series of fifteen cabochon drops from the Cambridge emerald collection. From then on, the emerald version of the tiara was often worn with pieces from the Delhi Durbar Suite (Including the Delhi Durbur Parure Tiara). In 1988, The House of Garrard renovated the hundred-year-old tiara once more, building it a completely new frame. In 2002, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II wore the tiara "widowed" -- meaning the tiara had neither its pearl or emerald drops.

♕ When Maria fled the palatial Vladimir Palace in Saint Petersburg for a villa in Kislovodsk, her jewels, including the tiara, remained in a hidden safe in her bedroom at the palace. That summer, Maria Pavlovna's son, Grand Duke Boris (pictured above), and a friend, Bertie Stopford, hatched a dangerous plan to retrieve her jewels. He and Boris disguised themselves as workmen, and with the help of a palace caretaker, they snuck into the Vladimir Palace and smuggled out the contents of Miechen's secret safe. The Vladimir Tiara and her other jewels were placed in a pair of Gladstone bags, and Stopford managed to sneak them out of Russia. He took the jewels to London, where they were placed in a safety deposit box.
♕ In 1921, Her Imperial and Royal Highness Princess Nicholas of Greece and Denmark, Grand Duchess Elena of Russia decided to sell some of her mother's jewels.

The Tiara is a small minor tiara. It features large scroll elements arranged across a geometric band of diamonds (The Halo Tiara has a total of 1,000 diamonds) & maintains all the characteristics of the Art Deco movement of design that started in 1925. The gems are of Geometric shape, in what’s described as a baton shape, topped by round diamonds that punctuate the points between the scrolls along the top. The scrolls have an almost wave-like shape on one side giving the piece a sense of movement. They are each covered in round diamonds and edged with a line of specially cut tapered square and rectangular gems. The triple line of round diamonds at the bottom complete the piece. The largest diamond—a round brilliant—highlights the top center of design.

𝒟𝑒𝓈𝒾𝑔𝓃:
The Tiara features a Diamond and Pearl tiara with Lover's Knot Motifs. The lover’s knot motif was very popular in the nineteenth century; the knots are the pretzel-like elements at the top of the tiara - the part from which the pendant pearls are suspended. Originally Mary’s Tiara was topped with a row of upright pearls, which made the tiara taller & grander than the version we currently see on the current Duchess of Cambridge. The pearls are the same pearls that once sat on The Girls Of Great Britain And Ireland Tiara, but they could removed off the Lover’s Knot. When Queen Mary died, the upright pearls were removed off the tiara. Lovers Knot bows were part of the design of the tiara, which was repeated along the entire length of the tiara, and from which originated two drop-shaped pearls, one hanging down and the other rising up like a spike.

♕ It is Kate’s most worn Tiara for Royal Events. Her second favorite is the Lotus Flower Tiara, which she has worn 2 times.
♕ Diana was not allowed to keep the Tiara after her divorce from Charles. She did get to keep all of her other jewelry gifts though.
♕ Before the Original Lover’s Knot Tiara was bought at an auction in 1981, no one knew what happened to the tiara after Her Royal Highness Princess Militza of Montenegro died. It is believed she sold it to a jewelry company right before she died.

The Tiara features Festoon & Fleur-De-Lis designs with Diamonds set in Silver and Gold. The Original Design was topped with 14 pearls. Inside the custom mahogany box provided by the jeweler, a second frame was also supplied, which allowed the tiara to be worn as a coronet. Even better, it could also be taken off a frame entirely and worn as a necklace. In 1912, Mary had the Tiara re-designed. She had the pearls removed from the top of the tiara, replacing them with 13 diamond brilliants. The pearls were incorporated into her new Lover's Knot Tiara. The base of the tiara was also removed around this time so that it could be worn separately as a bandeau. In 1960, the Bandeau of the Tiara was placed back onto the tiara, which gave it more height.

♕ Lady Eva’s Greville’s committee (who raised the money for the tiara), had so much money left over after the tiara was created so the funds were used to support the widows & families of the HMS Victoria ship collision in 1893.
♕ Queen Mary did not wear the tiara on her wedding day.
♕ Queen Elizabeth calls the Tiara “Granny’s Tiara.” The Tiara was a wedding gift from her grandmother Queen Mary in 1947.
