Lily snorted and moved to pat his back instead when he came closer, giggling quietly at his dramatics.

"Okay, okay, I'm sorry for being such a cruel bodyguard and attacking you," she teased, not sounding the least bit apologetic, "we can go get you some hot chocolate, okay?"

She didn't mind his exaggeration, if only because it was so clearly over the top. That, and she'd never turn down an excuse for a hot drink.

A wide grin spread across her face as she leaned down to make a snowball of her own. "Are you sure you want to play this game~?" she asked playfully, glancing up at him from where her hands were making quick work of the snow.

Once freed from his grip, Lily hummed and put the tray in the oven, setting a timer on her phone.  

“I don’t imagine cleaning will take too long, since it’s just what we need to clean and put away from this batch, and there’s two of us,” she mused, already starting to make sure that everything got put back where it belonged.  

She’d visited just enough to not have to open every cabinet to find where things belonged, so she let him handle the washing for the time being.  At least it isn't quite as much washing as when she'd first gotten up there.

[Phone call, Xavier's voice sounds urgent] "I'm in great danger I need you to come downstairs right now. Please! You're the only one that can help. In fact, the entire complex may be in danger if you don't help me stop this right now."

As soon as she registered the urgency and he mentioned 'upstairs', Lily was rushing out of her apartment, only sparing enough time to grab her guns as a precaution.

"I'm on my way!" She reassured as she hurried upthe flight of stairs between them. Her thoughts were already racing a mile a minute, wondering what could possibly be causing Xavier of all people to struggle and call for help, especially without causing much of a ruckus.

By the time she reached his door her heart was pounding and she was braced for a fight.

Oh sweet Rafayel, thinking she would leave it there.

Instead of bothering to try and hit a moving target by just throwing her snowball, she opted to instead run after him.

"Get back here you brat!" She called through laughed, her arm still posed to throw the moment she saw a good opportunity.

Lily didn't realize what Sylus was doing at first, too distracted by watching the petals landing in her hand. It felt so strange to enjoy a moment so peaceful with him, but she's certainly not going to complain either way.

When he turned towards her, she turned her attention up to him in turn, her head tilting slightly in confusion. Feeling him delicately placing the flower behind her ear, her face flushed even deeper, enough so she swears it was radiating heat at this point. Without even realizing it, she found herself leaning into his touch.

Though, perhaps the tenderness of the action was affected by her response to his teasing being to stick her tongue out at him.

"While I'm not exactly opposed to you waxing poetic, and I did agree to tag along so we could spend time together, we didn't come here to make it all about me," she teased playfully as she looked up at him.

Sylus picked up his phone, swiping through the screen as he dialed Lily’s number, his thumb tapping rhythmically against the glass. He leaned back in his chair, watching the soft light of the afternoon filter through the blinds. As the phone rang, he let out a small sigh, a hint of impatience buried beneath the calm exterior.

When the call finally connected, he greeted her with a casual tone. “Hey, Lily, you busy? If not… would you want to come see me for the spring? The cherry blossoms are finally blooming, and I haven’t had the chance to see them with anyone yet.”

There was a slight pause as he adjusted his position, a faint smirk creeping across his lips.

"Thought it might be nice, you know... to have someone to appreciate them with."

He exhaled, gaze still fixed on the view outside of the dark N109 zone. "Never had the chance to see it with someone before." The words were quieter, almost absentminded, but laced with something unspoken

Watching him put the icing on the cookie, she let out a small laugh. It may be messy, but it worked!

"Wonderful job, Xav," she praised playfully, flushing when he offered her the cookie.

She didn't resist it in the slightest though, holding her hand under his just in case of crumbs before she leaned forward just enough to take a bite. Letting out a happy hum, she melted slightly in contentment at the sweetness.

"These came out perfect!"

I'm at least good about making sure I get my work done at a reasonable pace still! So then I get to go home and scroll on my phone in the comfort of my couch!

Lily hummed happily as she led them out, nodding approvingly to the taste. Exactly what she was after!

"Anything in particular you feel like having?" She asked curiously as she looked up at him for his answer.

"The drink is really good, actually! Would you like a sip?" She offered, even holding the cup up slightly for further emphasis.

After spending the morning doing research on places in Linkon City that offer milk tea, Lily finally found a place that seemed like it would be a nice place to visit and had the coffee milk tea that Xavier mentioned. Plus it wasn't far from a few good places to eat so they'd have options based on what they were feeling up to without having to go all the way across town. Perfect.

Lily finally sent Xavier a text in the late morning.

'I found a place that has that coffee milk tea you mentioned! And it has really good reviews.'

After a moment of thought, she sent another text as well.

'And thank you for walking me home last night. I really appreciated it. It was nice, looking at the stars with you.'

If not for the sporadic texts, Xavier would still be asleep. Outside the birds that often bickered over his balcony were squawking at a volume loudly. The combination of factors is enough to stir him, just barely. He knows its her before having to unlock his phone.

↪[ Audio: I'm awake. I'm up. I'm coming. ]

↪[ It was nice. Let's do it again sometime ]

In a flash he rinses off, takes care of basic hygiene, and is donning a favored hoodie in spite of the weather.

By the time he gets downstairs, he's already rubbing his eyes again as he knocks on the door.

For Xavier and Lily!

Name: Lucas (ofc it means Light :P Though they absolutely call him their Little Star as well)

Gender: Male

General Appearance: Blue eyes with gold flecks, blonde hair like Lily’s

Personality: Smart, but can be hard to motivate, generally chill. Never resists nap time, but hates bedtime because he likes how pretty everything is at night. 

Special Talents: 

Communicating without talking

He's a very expressive child, even before he can talk, he manages it make it pretty clear exactly what he wants

Potential Powers: I feel like if he has an EVOL, then it would be similar to Xavier’s Light EVOL, if not just straight up the same EVOL. Lily won't ever admit it out loud, but she's kind of grateful that her child would have his EVOL instead of hers, because having an EVOL best suited for support definitely messed with her self esteem. 

Who they like better: Xavier, since he thinks he's the absolute coolest, and Xavier falls victim to puppy dog eyes a lot easier than Lily does. 

Who they take after more: Pretty even split? Most people think he's practically a mini-Xavier, but Lily’s influence is still definitely there, just harder to notice. He's crafty like her, and shares her habit of mimicking the people he's around / likes. That just means that, as a kid, he ends up mimicking Xavier a lot. He also gets his patience and tact from his mother as well. 

Personal Headcanon: 

He loves helping his parents in the kitchen (and 100% ‘tattles’ if Xavier ends up in the kitchen when Lily isn't looking, unless he's bribed)

Though, he also ‘tattles’ on Lily if she pushes herself too much and does chores or anything when Xavier tells her not to, so it's kept pretty fair

Despite how much he looks up to his parents, and how they're both Deepspace Hunters, he doesn't really want to be a Hunter. He wants to help people, and he loves ‘training’ (play fighting that actually teaches him useful skills too) with his dad, but if asked if he wants to be a Hunter he just kinda… shrugs

Short Bio: Lucas is honestly spoiled growing up, but of course his parents make sure he doesn't end up spoiled rotten. He's not a materialistically needy kid honestly, he just wants to be near at least one of them as much as possible.

About Lily

Lily is my version of the MC, so she follows the MC's story pretty well. Her heart problems do affect her more than they seem to affect canon MC, though, so she is more mindful of them, and she doesn't drink alcohol. She's still a Deepspace Hunter who just wants to help as many people as she can with a resonance Evol.
