Humming thoughtfully, she considered the suggestion. What would she do with the time off?

"I'm not sure? Probably depends on if anything else comes up... Maybe tackle some stuff around the apartment, or some training?" She doesn't want to go assuming he'd want to spend all of his time with her, after all. Surely he'd want to get some rest, or time to himself?

"Might track down my camera, do a little photography...?" She mused, more to herself. Her eyebrows furrowed, trying to remember when the last time she'd even used her camera was, and where she'd put it.

After spending the morning doing research on places in Linkon City that offer milk tea, Lily finally found a place that seemed like it would be a nice place to visit and had the coffee milk tea that Xavier mentioned. Plus it wasn't far from a few good places to eat so they'd have options based on what they were feeling up to without having to go all the way across town. Perfect.

Lily finally sent Xavier a text in the late morning.

'I found a place that has that coffee milk tea you mentioned! And it has really good reviews.'

After a moment of thought, she sent another text as well.

'And thank you for walking me home last night. I really appreciated it. It was nice, looking at the stars with you.'

If not for the sporadic texts, Xavier would still be asleep. Outside the birds that often bickered over his balcony were squawking at a volume loudly. The combination of factors is enough to stir him, just barely. He knows its her before having to unlock his phone.

In a flash he rinses off, takes care of basic hygiene, and is donning a favored hoodie in spite of the weather.

By the time he gets downstairs, he's already rubbing his eyes again as he knocks on the door.

The exaggerated playfulness had Lily's giggles turning into proper laughter, still finding herself leaning into him for support. She hid her face in his arm once more, one of her arms looped around his and holding it close to her.

"You are such a dork!"

His musing about a bakery made her snort, tilting her head back slightly to look up at him. "What would we call it?"

[Phone call, Xavier's voice sounds urgent] "I'm in great danger I need you to come downstairs right now. Please! You're the only one that can help. In fact, the entire complex may be in danger if you don't help me stop this right now."

As soon as she registered the urgency and he mentioned 'upstairs', Lily was rushing out of her apartment, only sparing enough time to grab her guns as a precaution.

"I'm on my way!" She reassured as she hurried upthe flight of stairs between them. Her thoughts were already racing a mile a minute, wondering what could possibly be causing Xavier of all people to struggle and call for help, especially without causing much of a ruckus.

By the time she reached his door her heart was pounding and she was braced for a fight.

After a moment of consideration and realizing that she hadn't thought that far ahead, she nodded gratefully. "If you don't mind, I really would appreciate it!"

After double checking that she'd gotten responses from everyone, she started to lead him out of the office. "The coffee shop isn't too far, thankfully."

"I prefer sweet coffee! So a bit of sugar, a bit of creamer. I know some folks say that's not real coffee, but it's my cup, I get to doctor it however I please!"

Normally, Lily tries to be fully aware of her surroundings. Working as a Hunter means she shouldn't let her guard down, especially when by herself. Who knows what threats are just waiting for a chance to strike, after all?

Though normally, Lily doesn't have to resort to late night walks to try and clear her mind so that she can sleep.

Suddenly hearing a voice nearby startles her out of her own thoughts, immediately setting her on alert. Her head whipped around towards the source, her posture tense and ready for a fight. Once she finally recognized Xavier, she let out a slow breath that ended in a sheepish laugh.

"Xavier!" She half-greeted, half-scolded.

Once she finally processed his warning, she offered what she hoped came across as a reassuring smile. "I know, I know. But I'm a big girl, I can handle going for a little starlit walk before bed." She teased, running her fingers through her hair in an attempt to calm herself down further so her heart wasn't pounding so hard in her chest.

"What about you? You're out rather late too."

Lily beamed as she met Jeremiah partway, wrapping her arms around him and playfully doing her best to squish him with the hug. She's more than happy to give her friends hugs when they ask!

For Xavier and Lily!

Name: Lucas (ofc it means Light :P Though they absolutely call him their Little Star as well)

Gender: Male

General Appearance: Blue eyes with gold flecks, blonde hair like Lily’s

Personality: Smart, but can be hard to motivate, generally chill. Never resists nap time, but hates bedtime because he likes how pretty everything is at night. 

Special Talents: 

Communicating without talking

He's a very expressive child, even before he can talk, he manages it make it pretty clear exactly what he wants

Potential Powers: I feel like if he has an EVOL, then it would be similar to Xavier’s Light EVOL, if not just straight up the same EVOL. Lily won't ever admit it out loud, but she's kind of grateful that her child would have his EVOL instead of hers, because having an EVOL best suited for support definitely messed with her self esteem. 

Who they like better: Xavier, since he thinks he's the absolute coolest, and Xavier falls victim to puppy dog eyes a lot easier than Lily does. 

Who they take after more: Pretty even split? Most people think he's practically a mini-Xavier, but Lily’s influence is still definitely there, just harder to notice. He's crafty like her, and shares her habit of mimicking the people he's around / likes. That just means that, as a kid, he ends up mimicking Xavier a lot. He also gets his patience and tact from his mother as well. 

Personal Headcanon: 

He loves helping his parents in the kitchen (and 100% ‘tattles’ if Xavier ends up in the kitchen when Lily isn't looking, unless he's bribed)

Though, he also ‘tattles’ on Lily if she pushes herself too much and does chores or anything when Xavier tells her not to, so it's kept pretty fair

Despite how much he looks up to his parents, and how they're both Deepspace Hunters, he doesn't really want to be a Hunter. He wants to help people, and he loves ‘training’ (play fighting that actually teaches him useful skills too) with his dad, but if asked if he wants to be a Hunter he just kinda… shrugs

Short Bio: Lucas is honestly spoiled growing up, but of course his parents make sure he doesn't end up spoiled rotten. He's not a materialistically needy kid honestly, he just wants to be near at least one of them as much as possible.

Lily jolted at the sudden chill that hit her skin, quickly turning her attention towards the source.

"Xavier??" She asked, pouting at him playfully. "How cruel, to hit me while I'm not looking."

Not that that stopped the giggles that bubbled up as she shook some of the snow from her hair, dipping down for just a moment to grab a fist full of snow to throw at him in turn. Here's to hoping she doesn't manage to face plant into the snow instead-

Lily couldn’t fight the flush as Xavier went on about all of the little things that make her excited, her pout disappearing completely. Honestly, it made her heart skip a beat in a good way, to know that he paid such close attention to such little things. She really shouldn’t be surprised that he was so observant, but it was touching all the same.  

The affectionate train of thought was derailed by the teasing, her cheeks turning even deeper pink in embarrassment as she shifted to lightly elbow him in the side. “Oh, hush.” She ‘scolded’, even as she turned her attention up towards the menu.  

Fortunately, she did manage to decide before they made it up front, figuring she’d go with a fruity tea, something on the sweeter side. Once she had finally decided on a drink, she honestly seemed rather proud of herself.

Lily had been working on tidying her apartment when hearing her phone go off, cursing under her breath until she found it.

She answered it quickly, perking up some when hearing Sylus on the other end, leaning against the couch as she listened to his request. "Not terribly busy, just doing a bit of spring cleaning. But I'd be more than happy to come visit!"

His quiet comment about not getting to share the sight with someone tugged her heart, her expression softening.

"Give me about 10 minutes to clean up, and I can start heading your way?"

Even as she said that, she was heading to her room to grab something nicer to wear than her 'cleaning around the house' outfit.

Sylus picked up his phone, swiping through the screen as he dialed Lily’s number, his thumb tapping rhythmically against the glass. He leaned back in his chair, watching the soft light of the afternoon filter through the blinds. As the phone rang, he let out a small sigh, a hint of impatience buried beneath the calm exterior.

When the call finally connected, he greeted her with a casual tone. “Hey, Lily, you busy? If not… would you want to come see me for the spring? The cherry blossoms are finally blooming, and I haven’t had the chance to see them with anyone yet.”

There was a slight pause as he adjusted his position, a faint smirk creeping across his lips.

"Thought it might be nice, you know... to have someone to appreciate them with."

He exhaled, gaze still fixed on the view outside of the dark N109 zone. "Never had the chance to see it with someone before." The words were quieter, almost absentminded, but laced with something unspoken
