Alexander 'Sasha' Kozachenko x Fem! Reader Summary: Angels in the snow could only mean one thing: you were going to be coming back to him soon.

A/n: I decided to do something sweet and simple for Sasha <3 idk how the school times and whatnot work overseas, so I did go with an american school day, if that's okay ;-;

His eyes were exhausted as he gazed down the book he was reading, the distant sound of children playing outside catching his ear every once in a while. When the bell for the school rang and signaled that it was halfway through recess, Sasha's head lifted slightly, and he glanced out the window.

Excitement filled his veins, and Sasha slowly rolled his wheelchair to stare out of the window at the playground. Snow was falling, the ground blanketed heavily and glistening in the winter sun.

Children were throwing snowballs and diving into the snow and making snow angels, and Sasha smiled gently. Snow angels could only mean one thing.

You were going to be coming home soon.

Sasha glanced down, taking out his wallet to open it up. Shoulders relaxing, Sasha couldn't help but to blush and chuckle to himself as he looked down at a picture of you, your arms around his shoulders as Sasha just rolled his eyes.

It was the day after he had been released from the hospital after Leon had shot him to kill the plagas he had infected himself with in order to fight for the independence of the Eastern Slav Republic.

While Leon had gone back to the states to continue his vacation, you had stayed behind to help the government tie up any loose ends and destroy any more B.O.W's.

However, when your time wasn't spent cleaning up Svetlana's mess, you were at the hospital and keeping him company; telling him about what was happening as he was recovering and letting him know how Svetlana's treason case was going.

He didn't know when he started to enjoy your company, when his heart stopped hurting every time he thought about Irina, when it began to race within your presence instead.

Sasha didn't know when he began to anticipate your visits and your talks or when you would take him to the public pool in the untouched parts of the city to help him with his physical therapy.

When you were called back to the US, Sasha had been devasted until about a year later. Apparently, thanks to you, Leon, and a woman named Hunnigan, bugging the DSO Director, you told him that you would be stationed in Europe every winter since the winter months tended to be a slow time for the DSO anyway.

And so, Sasha began to anticipate the winter months; the snow almost like a calling card for you. Sasha knew that when the ground glistened like diamonds, when mulled wine filled his cup, and when the scent of pine filled the air; you would be coming home to him.

The bell rang again, and Sasha was brought out of his thoughts by the children filing into the classroom. They were all talking loud, rosy cheeks and coats covered in snow, and Sasha sighed gently with a smile.

"Alright, make sure to place your coats onto the coat rack. We don't want the floor to get wet and become dangerous."

The kids all answered enthusiastically, and Sasha wheeled himself back to his desk, beginning to get his materials ready when one of his kids exclaimed with excitement.

"Miss (L/n)! Miss (L/n)!"

Sasha's gaze shot up, and there you were, his snow angel in the flesh. You were bundled up heavily, putting on a show for the kids as you took your scarf off.

"My, oh my! It's so cold out there, I think I almost froze on the way here!"

The kids laughed as they crowded around you, and Sasha was further surprised to see Leon peeking over your shoulder with a smirk, teasing you as he shook his gloves off.

"If I had known any better, I'd say you did with how bad you were shivering on the way here."

"Oh, don't listen to him, kids! He's just grumpy because I wouldn't let him drive."

Your gaze met Sasha's, and he couldn't even stop himself from smiling widely, his neck becoming hot as he blushed.

"I wasn't expecting company."

You giggled and walked around the children to pull up a stool and sit beside him, winking at him as you gave him a gift.

"I decided to save Leon from Director Simmons' excessive summons."

"She didn't even tell me where we were going until we were already in the boarding area of the airport."

Leon made a face at you before smirking at Sasha, clapping his shoulder gently.

"But, it's nice to see you, Buddy."

Sasha's heart was warm; filled to the brim with love and appreciation that his eyes became glassy, hiding the emotional tears that threatened to fall as he looked into the gift bag.

"My friends call me Sasha...if that's alright with you."

Leon grinned and one of the kids came up to the desk, exclaiming at you.

"Miss (Y/n), are you gonna do story time for us?"

The kids began to crowd you again, and you laughed loudly, Sasha unable to keep his gaze off of you as you interacted with the kids. Hell, he couldn't even be upset that the lesson he had planned was now null for the day; just happy that his snow angel was back.

You had finally come home to him again, and Sasha couldn't be more in love.

I think we don't talk enough about Sasha a.k.a. Buddy, or RE: Damnation in general.

I'll make it short: If it weren't for Sasha (Buddy), Leon would have certainly died on the mission in the ESR.

It was *Sasha* who commanded the Lickers to prevent the Tyrant from delivering the final blow against Leon.

Which also makes it the first time happening; A battle between (full mutated) B.O.Ws in history of Resident Evil (Lickers vs. Tyrant).

Despite of disliking him, Sasha helped Leon to escape. And the other one did the same in return.

That's one of the reasons I love this movie so much: Enemies become allies. Without the other, there's no chance of survival.

And d*mn, Sasha is such an incredibly strong individual. Maybe I'll talk about it next time~🔥💥☀️😌
