PSL party program pt. 1
https://on.soundcloud.com/Jf4BFXrp3au4AGy78
PSL is a vanguard party to lead the transition from capitalism to socialism
Housing is a human right; your home shouldn’t be owned by someone else; eliminate landlordism
Climate change: we need to switch to renewable energies, but the capitalist class has an interest in maintaining gas and coal; the American military is the largest contributor to climate change, thus we must eliminate it if we truly want to fight against climate change
Government intervention in the economy: the 2008 financial crisis, and the resulting Wall Street bail out, clearly demonstrated that our capitalist economy depends on government assistance. Instead of bankrolling ceos, the government should intervene in the economy on behalf of the working class. Banks should be state-owned.
Community safety: we need to dismantle the police state and set up community orgs to keep our neighborhoods safe

The Yorkist Orphans
Margaret Pole, 8th Countess of Salisbury (b. 14 August 1473) and Edward Plantagenet, 17th Earl of Warwick (b. 25 February 1475) were the surviving children of George Plantagenet, 1st Duke of Clarence and his wife Isabel Neville, daughter of ‘the Kingmaker’ Richard Neville, 16th Earl of Warwick.
Their mother Isabel, died on 22 December 1476 at the age of 25, of either consumption or childbed fever. In response, their father had two servants killed, who he thought had poisoned her. On 18th February 1478 at the age of 28, their father George, was executed for treason against his own brother, Edward IV and thus his lands and titles were forfeited. When Henry Tudor succeeded as Henry VII in 1485, he married their cousin Elizabeth of York and they were taken into their care. However, as Plantagenets and of tarnished Yorkist lineage, they were perceived as threats to the Tudor dynasty. In 1499, at the age of 24, Edward was executed for involvement in the plot to escape the Tower of London with Perkin Warbeck, who had impersonated Edward IV’s presumed-dead son Richard of Shrewsbury, 1st Duke of York.
Margaret would outlive her mother, father and siblings. She was also one of the few surviving members of the Plantagenet dynasty after the War of the Roses. However, in May 1539, an act of attainder was passed against herfor aiding and abetting her sons Henry and Reginald Pole and having ‘committed and perpetrated diverse and sundry other detestable and abominable treasons’. On 27 May 1541, Margaret, the Plantagenet heiress, was executed at the Tower of London. Just as her father and brother had been before her.

Everything I thought I knew has been shaken. Perhaps there’s no honor in anyone and each of us is alone.

Tariffs - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIhO4AJ1ZBY
High tariffs are historically accompanied by extreme wealth gains for the capitalist class
High tariffs may promote the rebirth of domestic manufacturing, but those job/salary gains are offset by an increase in consumer prices
Tariffs artificially inflate the prices of foreign products, and reduce competition for domestic producers, allowing them to jack up prices in turn
Conversely, free trade (ex. NAFTA), destroys domestic manufacturing and enables American companies to offshore manufacturing and pay foreign workers a fraction of what they would have to pay American workers, increasing corporate profits
If Trump was serious about promoting American industry and helping the working class, he would use our tax dollars to fund factory-building, but instead, he wants to cut taxes for the 1%
Trumps wants to use tariffs to fund the gov’t so he can eliminate the progressive income tax
