So basically in this AU almost everyone survived the events of ppt, as the name implies

The toys escaped the facility and now hide in a safe place where playtime co never finds them🤭

Huggy, Kissy and Doey are like parental figures, so it's common to see them covered in smaller toys. Mini wuggies obviously prefer Huggy's company, so he's a happy and very tired dad

im sorry but i cannot stop thinking about isha's pastel memories that play during her sacrifice scene.

look at how full of colour this beautiful fuckin shot is:

it's been well established in episodes 4-6 how grim and dark the undercity has become under cait and ambessa's new rule. but look at how isha sees/remembers it - because of jinx.

jinx, who went through a severe childhood trauma that has carried over into her present self - she covers extremely destructive weapons and grenades in bright pinks and blues, neons, childlike doodles, graffiti. (joy and destruction, powder and jinx, a contrast so striking it becomes like a signature for her).

and then we see the world through isha's eyes. when we meet her in episode 2, she's running through sewers, from goons dressed in black; it's grimy and grim. and then all of her recent memories are done in these childlike pastel, almost crayon-y sketches. because what isha saw was jinx covering a dark and grim world in colours.

and so isha covered her world in colour, too.

because jinx made her world bright.

isha looked at jinx and saw the child in her. she saw powder and she saw jinx. she saw joy and destruction. and that's why jinx gave isha so much hope. isha knew the world was grim and dark - but then she watched jinx, and she learned that you can paint over all that grim darkness with neon blue spray paint.

that's why isha believed in hope. that's why in her final moments - in a scene that is lit dimly and dramatically - she sees nothing but a bright world coloured in pastels.

never underestimate the hope of a child.

Haha hiiii, sorry for reposting my own works, but tumblr seems to have deleted my previous account (hlo-pok-hopey) bc I can't access it or find my posts anywhere:)

Anyway, if u guys liked my art and want to see more of it, u can follow this blog. Apparently i will have to post my art here from now on. It's just, I remember some people who left very nice and touching comments under my Sphinx drawing and I miss u guys😭💚

I'm sorry. Poppy playtime obsession got to me😞

I feel bad for the toys and I won't rest until my mind comes up with a scenario where everyone lives!! However, that need alone is not enough to make me draw something.

While I love the toys' designs bc they're all such cutie patooties, their biology/anatomy just make no sense to me (well, most of them, i have little to no issues with Huggy and Kissy) >.<

That's why my autistic ass (powered by sheer confusion and need to make sense) decided to redesign the characters. Well, not the TOY designs themselves, but rather the ones that are alive and were previously humans- YOU GET IT

To justify my redesigns I also had to rewrite the story a little. Pardon me, but I don't understand how they made human/toy hybrids that are both organic and artificial... This makes zero sense to me, so in my rewrite Playtime Co. created their living "toys" via mutation and crossing human and other creatures DNA. Some Umbrella + Urbanshade shit, yea... Right now I'm done with Yarnaby and Doey, and there's also a Catnap redesign in progress (I'll show him later)

Here are some notes on my redesigns:

YARNABY

- I genuinely tried my best to figure out his vertically split mouth, but after doing some research I realised that this is probably anatomically impossible:')

- my main inspo for his mouth are snake jaw and some resident evil mutants. I used boss forms of Moreau and Lady Dimitrescu from re8 as references, bc they both have these weird segmented jaws, but i feel like Moreau's jaw gives off more of like, Yarnaby vibes, so my Yarnaby's jaw is similar to that of Moreau's

- instead of having fur made of yarn, he has real fur, cuz my Yarnaby is a fully organic creature, a mutated human. His fur is just dyed in rainbow colours, however it wasn't re-dyed since the hour of joy, so he isn't as aesthetically pleasing as he once was (still perfect to me)

DOEY

- again, Istfg I don't get the logic behind this living play dough. If he's made of clay why does he need food... The answers I'll never get. ANYWAY- Since I'm trying a mutation approach here, rather than ??? whatever we see in the game, I thought "what is the most play dough-like creature on earth?" And my mind immediately screamed OCTOPUS. I mean, they're squishy and gummy- They can squeeze through tight spots, they're colourful and look like jelly

- also while looking for octopus references, i found out that they have neurons in each of their tentacles, which allows them to multitask! I thought this was a cool explanation for how Doey's personalities control the body

- so yea, my Doey is basically a human/octopus mutant hybrid. That's it. Although idk how they merged three persons into one living being. My main idea is that boys just fused during the experiments... I'm trying my best here to make sense out of this all, don't be hard on me😞

Isha, Ekko, Jinx could have so much funny, cute and fantastic sceens. So am writing some ideas here.

Jinx and Isha moved into firelight base, Ekko was scared about that someone would happend to them. Other firelights didnt like that Jinx was there. So she is usually hiden in Ekkos room, she wants to prove them she is better on it.

Kids who are in base LOVE Jinx. They want her to create toys for them. She does that. She even helped to improve the playground, she still thinks about other thing to add. She alredy added swing and also seesaw for smaller kids. She stared to repair things secretly, even Ekko didnt know about it at first.

Isha was really shy with other kids, but one of the small boys, who saw Ekko as dad, took little Isha under his wings, so he makes Ekko happy. He also loves Jinx, she likes him as well.

Jinx for fun created hoverboard for herself, but she does not use it. Isha has one too, Ekko teches her on it.

Isha often sneeks into Ekko's and Jinx's room so she can cuddle with them. Ekko and Jinx sleeps in tight hug, bcs both of them have nightmares.

When Isha does not sleeps with them, Jinx sometimes go to check on her, after she has a nightmare. She is scared that something happend to her. So she carefully picks her up, with both blanket and her plush (little white bunny) and takes her to their bad. Or she just sleeps on ground next to Isha's bed.

Jinx wears Ekkos clothes when she sleeps.

Ekko and Isha sometimes does Jinx's braids. Usually when she is not in mood doing her on her own, she sits on the ground and let little girls do her hair (Rapunzel hehe).

Both Ekko and Jinx have little tattoo of I.J.E. on their wrists. Isha wanted too, but they refuse to let her get tattoo before she is adult.

Ekko proposed to Jinx, but since there is not law allowing wedding in undercity, they cannot get married. (Idk how it is in cannon, but I dont think we heard about marrige in undercity). But they had little ceremony in firelight base.

Heimerdinger often visits them, first Jinx was calling him "hamster" but she learn to like him. Isha abslolutly loves him, he plays teaparty with her.

Sevika visits as well. Jinx also make her a hoverboard and new hand. They have weird friendly-hate relationship. Like Sevika still calls Jinx "brat". Jinx calls Sevika "Ogre". Ekko and Isha just laugh at them.

I made a ref for Susan to have her as a solid character instead of a foggy human-shaped figure in my head while I daydream, u kno how it be...

So yea, welcome the depressed, but devoted mother of three dough boys. She's ready to kick some playtime co ass with her magic wand of justice ^_^

Notes on the design:

- her outfit style is inspired by the last of us fashion

- I really love all the short-haired Susan's other people draw, but in my AU, with all the running and lurking in a dangerous factory, shorter hair would only get in her face and become another distraction. Susan doesn't want that. Nor does she care to cut her hair anymore. Depression is tough

P.S. My main inspiration is still the fic "Love him till the day that you die" by the amazing @was-that-a-pun , and also the fic "To bring him home" (by @titantimberwolf ). Oh and um, all the other AUs where Susan survives and Doey gets to have a parent. Because hooo boy does he need one!
