Help? LOZ fandom is confusing

I know I am very new to the Legend of Zelda fandom (I joined in 2016), however, I have a really hard time imagining Link as anything other than a mute, androgynous, twink.

I have no idea how anyone can imagine/fall in love with this idea of him being a tall, masculine, tank... I'm frankly horrified by the idea

(not to offend anyone who does it is perfectly reasonable if you do)

it took a while for me to unlearn some of this but I love having a young heart and caring for the young hearts I meet. Kids aren’t your enemies, it what they are taught and what YOU are taught that are :) <3
