Welcome back to Dannymay! We're excited to kick the event off for another year!
If you aren’t aware, Dannymay is a yearly event where creators are given a daily prompt and are free to run with it! Any and all art is allowed; fanfiction, fanart, music, poetry, and anything else will be welcomed!
Feel free to complete as many or as few prompts as you’d like, and remember to have fun! When you’re done, post your creations to Tumblr with the #Dannymay2025 tag so we can see it!
Like previous years, we’ll be compiling an ao3 collection under the tag Dannymay 2025, and we’ll fire up the Dannymay discord for another year - the link is in our FAQ!

I keep forgetting to post this geez -_-
FINALLY got the game like last week, meant to post the photo wayyy earlier... Had a lamb sketch done but I can't be bothered to go take pictures of it or download it so-
I've also got a few ideas for a DOA(?)!Atsushi AU and they won't leave me alone, might sketch some rough designs and see if the idea sticks around after, idk
His name is Themis and he's an Alchemist Artificer!
I've got art block!
So here's a sketch of a dnd character I tried to design in an attempt to get rid of it but it didn't work :D
I'll be honest, I'm not happy with the way the first two turned out. I've actually had them done for a few days and wasn't going to post them because I wasn't happy with them.
But I realized that would go against my own personal beliefs, which is that sharing even the art we're not proud of is important. Not everything we create will be or has to be perfect.
Sure, I kind of hate the way Chuuya's face looks, (also I think I got his hat wrong) Dazai's hair and both their feet. All I can really see are what I call "the screw ups". Fortunately, that's not all there is. For example, I'm very proud of how Atsushi turned out despite the fact that he kind of resembles Beast!Atsushi... I'm also not fussy on the shots without his jacket...
This turned into a long ramble, sorry, I just wanted to show off some A Graveyard For Angels designs. I gave Chuuya a brown jacket after a lot of back and forth with the colours and Dazai's bolo tie is more blue.
many such cases
Working on my novel and couldn’t figure out why it felt so empty. I didn’t have any filler. It was all 100% plot. The characters only interacted when necessary. I didn’t prattle on about the scenery or how the birds sounded. I had all my fuller stuff that I loved saved in another file because I “didn’t need it”.
Y’all, I knew this existed in TV shows but it didn’t hit me until this that everything is being whittled down. We are so starving for filler that we snap up anything. I unload all mine on Tumblr or keep it in a massive Google Docs. It SUCKS.
Honestly? Death to plot necessity. Revive filler. Revive unnecessary interactions. Revive just vibing with characters sometimes. I don’t want to just consume the plot and I don’t want to just create the plot either.
me as I'm watching Race to the edge:
There are two types of dragon and dragon rider relationships. There's toothcup where they're soulmates and would do anything for each other. Everytime they have to part, or go through any angsty situation your heart hurts. Then there's Snotlout and Hookfang, and they just make me die laughing. Two grumpy stubborn idiots who love to annoy each other and can't show proper affection to save their lives because it would make them look weak.
EXACTLY.
me continuing to make terrible posts about my extremely niche interests instead of anything people actually followed me for:
She/They, I'm a self-taught artist and writer whose posts tend to revolve around my OCs, artwork and whatever media is my current hyperfixation. I've got a couple original stories and fanworks that I want to share, but it might be awhile, please be patient with me while I work up the courage to actually do what I love for once (storytelling)
