Girl I adore your writing and fics oh man like u are crazy talented ! I especially love ur wolfstar fics and was wondering if u had some favourites? Like fics u would recommend cause in my head right? If u can come up with like great fics like u do, u must have some good recs yk?

Okay, let me be, like, super honest right now. When I have free time, I’m writing. If I’m not writing, I’m editing. So. This puts me in an awkward position to tell you that ... I don’t ... read that much. It’s an unforgiveable sin, I know. 

HOWEVER I will tell you that I have dug up a few fics from my AO3 history that have stuck with me over time 

Better Than Watching Paint Dry (pavlablack) - a short fic about returning to Grimmauld Place and wondering what could’ve been

Be With Me Always - @thehufflebean - a BRILLIANT fic that kept me reading for hours and kinda sobbing most of the way through about Remus dealing (or not dealing so well) with life after Sirius fell through the veil

An Embarrassing Yet Overwhelmingly Wonderful Incident at a Chinese Restaurant - @xinasvoice - I cannot hear the song “Werewolves of London” without thinking of this fic. Literally every single time. 

A Perfect Fit - @jencala - Sirius gets jealous of Remus and the tailor who takes his measurements. Remus gives him a reason not to be jealous.

Familiar - @yumenouveau - just a fun, short fic about Sirius wondering where he knows Remus from. Spoiler alert, it’s from gay porn. 

Up To No Good / Mischief Managed - @littlejeanniebean - the Marauders as a boy band?? What’s not to love?? 

New Ink - @xomarauders an adorable fic about Sirius getting a tattoo that follows the phases of the moon and Remus’ reaction to it 

And finally, really, ANYTHING by @blitheringmcgonagall especially the in-progress A Little Risk (1930s Marauders Murder Mystery AU) and another I’m very fond of Ithildin and Silmë (it’s like Lord of the Rings meets Wolfstar and it is gorgeous and adorable and wonderful, but then so is Mia ❤️)

Last Glacier Standing in Venezuela

In 1910, glaciers covered at least 4 square miles (10 square km) of the mountainous region of northwestern Venezuela. Today, less than one percent of that ice remains, and all of it is locked up in one glacier. The ongoing retreat of Humboldt Glacier—Venezuela’s last patch of perennial ice—means that the country could soon be glacier-free.

The glacier is in the highest part of the Andes Mountains, on a slope at nearly 16,000 feet. A cold and snowy climate at high elevations is key for glaciers to exist in the tropics. Most of Earth’s tropical glaciers are found in the Andes, which runs through Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. But warming air temperatures have contributed to their decline, including Humboldt Glacier.

The relatively recent changes to Humboldt are evident in these images, acquired on Jan. 20, 1988, by the United States Geological Survey’s Landsat 5 and on Jan. 6, 2015, by Landsat 8. The images are false-color to better differentiate between areas of snow and ice (blue), land (brown) and vegetation (green).

Scientists are trying to understand how long Humboldt will remain. One said: “Let’s call it no more than 10 to 20 years.”
