A couple of weeks ago, I had an incident where I was openly invalidated and shamed for being closeted by two people I trusted. As someone who has struggled with internalized homophobia in my youth from my environment growing up and is still closeted to my loved ones, this situation has weighed heavy on me.
Yet, these past two Harry Styles shows, I felt the courage (alongside my friend) to display my identity in the most public of ways by waving a bi flag. The first night, I was overwhelmed with all the love and support from everyone who saw our flag draped over the balcony— both in-person and in photos/videos/livestreams. The second night, we were able to be in the pod next to the catwalk, and wave our flag during Lights Up where Harry looked directly at us. He didn’t interact with it, but just knowing he saw it— he saw me with such a big part of me grasped tightly in my hand, it felt unreal. I’m so fortunate for Harry and the space he’s given me for years to be myself and to love myself when I feel otherwise, because I don’t think I would’ve been as comfortable or as free as I did these past two nights with that flag if it hadn’t been for him and this special space he’s created. I cant thank him and my friend enough for allowing me to be myself during such a rough time. Just happy. Yeah ✨🤍

We are super used to this kind of auto promo or tactics focused on introducing new projects to new audiences, this fandom has witnessed them before. It happens in many fields, personally, I have also seen similar situations in my professional environment repeated times.
In this case, in addition to the evident connection to SONY, there are interesting observations to add to our library; who Clive Davis really is and why could be relevant to get to know him better?
Basically, the man has been the founder or head of all those Sony companies at some point and now he is indulging himself might be represented as Houston's discoverer in the biopic.
Summarizing, with Sony based, we recall Columbia, Arista, RCA and BMG. Sounds familiar?
Before this settles any panic, (the actual) BMG was founded in October 2008 after Bertelsmann sold its stake in Sony BMG & is 100% owned by Bertelsmann and one of the group's eight business divisions. Sony is also a distributor, such as Universal is to Harry in the US, so the participation within other labels may vary depending on the artist/country, but that's another story.

Talking about this, the following matter came up "Is Louis still attached to Sony?" Sadly, I believe all of the boys still have strings to their 1D contracts - which I think is the main issue- and that ends up in the label. Also, if nothing has changed, Louis is still the director of the Third String (which is under the wing of Sony).
I wish I knew more facts about labels, about their integrity and management quality since if you scratch a bit in other fanbases there are always "cases" and ugly stories too, which leads to thinking the industry is just built up in toxicity. Nothing new. My expectations or desire is that eventually, we get more switches like Louis' and that hopefully, these bring actual and factual results, we are so ready to see them as soon as possible.

My first thought was some kind of fertility idol or Venus statue. Didn't find anything particularly close.
Then I saw a picture that made it click:
Notice Harry biting into the apple? It could have biblical connotations: Eve's temptation. So I looked for a statue depicting it.
What I found instead was this:

starting ages ago, several blogs started getting these anons that would come and tell us the larriepocalypse (actually, technically, they are ALWAYS the larrieopocaplypse, but i just... can't bring myself to type that tbh) and what's funny is they started out SUPER MENACING. like really rude and mean and saying that larries would leave forever after what was going to happen etc etc. it was ridiculous so while some posted them to be like see, they're going to everyone! most who got them deleted them and ignored it, went on their way. but as time went on they just... kept coming? and we were like, okay, but wasn't that supposed to have already happened? and yet we're still here... lolllll it became a joke.
in the past year or two, the asks have gotten shorter and while some are still clearly meant in joy to bask in the mass exodus of larries that will be coming "soon", most are like the ones i've gotten tonight. short and to the point.
i've never gotten a flat out date before, though. so that was a new and fun thing! haha and i've never gotten a follow up with a "hint" either, so it's really interesting the change in the tone despite that horrific spelling remaining the same.
all the same, the larrie(o)pocalypse is apparently coming march 1, so get prepared, because my favorite holiday that never happens is gonna be postponed again on march 1!

Im not saying harry didnt face some hardships when he started his solo career but the things he faced were nothing compared to what the rest of the boys went through and that's okay. Good for him. But I dont understand the need to not acknowledge that? He got 90 million invested in him before he released a single song and many many other privilages.

You think he doesn't suffer because his partner has been railroaded for years. You think he didn't suffer when he lost people close to him. You think he has no lingering trauma from the abuse they all suffered when they were in the band. You think because he looks happy and has critical success that his trauma is "less than" the others. You think you can compare one person's trauma to another's based on the way things look from the outside. You think "privileges" in the music industry don't come with a price. You think "privileges" equal a life of ease and happiness.

I mean no offense here, but this kind of thing which is just pure baseless conjecture & is not supported by or connected to anything else, is really bad for this fandom because it encourages people to just free-associate whatever they can imagine rather than to actually look at what we can find and think critically about it.
Louis wore the York rose for Doncaster, where he is from. What Harry wore is not technically the Tudor rose because it isn’t a five-petal flower, although I will grant it does look very similar. If it was intended to be a Tudor rose, it would be one.
They are both roses, and Harry and Louis are undoubtedly aware of what the dagger and rose mean to us, so that connection is there although it is still a reach.
In order for me to consider this worth anyone’s attention, I would need to see both of them continuing the rose motif or one of them to very clearly connect the rose motif to their relationship.
What is absolutely not worth anyone’s attention is building reach upon reach. When you are that many degrees removed from concrete facts, you end up with a lot of confirmation bias (such as connecting the Tudor rose to the idea of a Larry marriage without any supporting evidence. They just jump to marriage because it would affirm their belief Larry is/will be married.)
I would encourage anyone following this account to unfollow because they represent themselves as this:

It’s the exact same bullshit that is used to spread disinformation. You do not get to wipe your hands of any kind of accountability for what you post.

That is why when I propose something I lay out my reasoning as clearly as possible.
That is why, when I post a question, it can be answered. “Is Louis wearing a ring?” No. It’s in corrections now. “Where is this room?” In Syco offices, which we found thanks to an honest, accountable collective effort (and is also now in corrections because it was spread virally as a claim that /something I was asking about/ was something I was /proposing as a theory/).
If you are interested in understanding what Harry and Louis are communicating (both deliberately as they did with the bears AND in the same sense as we all communicate about ourselves culturally), then you cannot play games. You have to ask questions that can be answered and have clear reasons for those questions.
I believe these kinds of posts and threads and accounts are really bad for the fandom and for the mental health of the individuals that follow them. They get people excited about random coincidences, which leads people to build expectations for some kind of reveal. But the cause for excitement is baseless and nothing comes of it, leading people to feel resentful, exhausted, and angry. It is a rapid churn of ideas that keeps people coming back for more, can facilitate addiction, and reduces the burden of proof necessary for something to be taken seriously by the fandom which moves the fandom further away from actually understanding the bigger picture.
(It’s the exact same shit HLT, CBO, and random predictions accounts do. So know what you’re getting into if you choose to continue to engage with it.)
