Not expecting to run into one when a late night swim under the full moon beckoned you out of the safety of your house.

Your side screams in pain as you run, the stitch getting worse with every step you take. Your breath labored and panted through your open mouth. Stumbling through the dark and only guided but the big, bright full moon that was blessedly low in the sky. Illuminating your path through the woods while the snarls and thudding of more than two feet get closer behind you. 

They had told you not to go into the woods after dark. Warned you since you were a little girl that there was evil in the forest at night. Bad things would happen. Men had gone into the woods, tall, strapping men who were armed and they had not returned the next morning. Never seen again save for maybe a scrap of clothing or an old, rusty dagger.

ok, look, can we parse the implications of this (legends) canon moment from the revenge of the sith novel?? first, anakin knows obi-wan so well that he can basically sense his emotions in the Force from a whole separate starfighter, and then his reaction is to Act Like A Brat in order to encourage obi-wan to do a little recreational scolding as stress-relief. obi-wan says anakin’s name like every sentence, first as a reprimand and then basically as an endearment. anakin is satisfied by being chastised, only adding support to my thesis that anakin has an ‘obi-wan’s disappointed voice’ kink. bless you, stover 😂

Fandom:  The Mandalorian Pairing:  Din x gender neutral Reader (no Y/N) Length:  2.9k words Rating:  Teen Summary:  Din seems to think it doesn’t matter if he gets injured. You disagree. 

Warnings:  no smut in this one?  Mild angst.  Mentions an injury & canon-typical violence (no violence in the fic itself), and it’s implied that a character is careless with their safety because they believe they’re expendable.  Reader cries a lot (but some of them are happy tears).  Unbeta’d

Notes: This is a 100 Followers Celebration prompt fill for a follower who wanted to remain anonymous and requested “mild angst where a gn!reader gets mad at Din for taking stupid risks.”  (I did my best, friend, but I just couldn’t not give them a happy ending—sorry, not sorry, ‘cause Din deserves all the good things.)
