♫ - What I’m currently listening to (plus Papy voice claim at the end?)
I want to preface this post by proclaiming that I'm both a wannabe perfectionist and far too indecisive for my own good. What does this mean? Well, I've been looking over the last few pages of the comic and picking at it like a pimple on a freshly washed face. I gotta get it right, but at the same time these are just thumbnails...right!?
I actually do not know.
On the one hand, I'd love to get the final product on one scrolling page with color, clean line art, and consistency on Sans' face. On the other hand, I am lazy and afraid that if it becomes too much work I'll simply drop it. Quite the predicament. I will say that 6 pages are the farthest I've gone with a comic, colored or otherwise, so who knows. I just might surprise myself.
What are they? Google says they are:
The formation of a word from a sound associated with what is named (e.g. cuckoo, sizzle ).
What are they to me? Oh, just the best thing since mango mochi. I found my dream font, learned how to describe a flute playing at a ballet, and now I'm wrestling with myself to not overdo it. Should I add in the sound of the wind for safety measures? What about the click of heels, every breath a character takes, when they pass gas? Ah, yes, I can hear it all now, or rather, see it.
Plus, one of the benefits of describing sound(?) is the filling in of whitespace, and as a lazy artist (how many times will I say it?) this pleases me very much.
bloop, blop
ting, tong, tang
twingle, twangle
bam, ban, bang
fwoosh, swoosh, whoosh
Thank you to YourDictionary and this blog for providing examples.
I might sneak in a few more edits to posted pages this week. There could be very small tweaks, maybe major ones. I might try to give Sans reconstructive surgery on his face until I get him just right. I might wait until we get more pages done before I go back for more tweaks.
They say when working on the first draft of a novel you are to write and not look back until the draft is done. Unfortunately, this isn't a novel, so I'm gonna ignore that advice.

Finally home, and wasn't the last day and a half just a stressful mess! Definitely not a big fan of the journey from destination to destination, especially because airports suck. Anyway, while waiting during my layover, I have sketched out the next scene!
We skip to present day after young Sans and Papyrus return home. Papyrus will be going through his normal morning routine—totally unaware that he is about to run into the lust of his life on his rounds. Because I am still on the fence regarding the AU, I will be avoiding any canon attire for the time being, so expect slacks and button-ups during this stage of the design process. I will also be leaving Gaster’s whereabouts vague so there is room for future story building.
I want to give a big thank you to @lands-of-explorer-shenanigans for all the likes and reblogs! My heart always melts whenever I get a notification from you.

okay, so as I was sketching out the next page of the comic, I had to stop! I wanted to really get a handle on Sans so I have less work to do when I'm drawing the finished draft—sure, that's part of it. Another part of it was this strong urge to just get him right for his sake. Like, really right.
So how the heck am I supposed to do that?
I went right down to the bare bones (ha!). I didn't want to get too influenced by all the very impressive fan art out there, and there's just too much to count on this very website, so I used the original Sans sprite as a reference (I realize my version appears as if his arms were cut at the elbows. We'll just silently ignore that...). I then drew a real skeleton because my brain has a hard time with properly tying the two together. I suppose what I mean is, I try to imagine what the monsters of the Underground would look like in our real world, and also with a more humanoid appearance, so when I see Sans I naturally compare him to what is inside our meat suit despite him being a cartoon who should have the freedom to flourish in his art style. Its hard, I'll tell ya that! But I made an attempt here to try something that aligns more with what I want for the comic.
Maybe this will be the final look? I love to see this version of Sans having a more urban fashion sense, aggressive personality, and a bad drug problem that leaks into all aspects of his life. I'm definitely pulling from the images I included in this post, and honestly? I think we need more poverty polish applied to his bones.
I kind of want to make a similar character sheet for more of the UT cast. All in due time...

As I am preparing to sketch out the last scene for chapter one, I have been reading through highlight chapters in Lugubriosity. This chapter had particularly caught my eye since we get a bit more insight on Papyrus’ crimes. Only Papyrus didn't abusing several children alone, he had help.
Which brings me to one question; how involved was Undyne really?
I’d like to imagine someone who doesn't already have pedophilic tendencies wouldn't dare to help in such horrendous crimes regardless if they wanted to impress their emotionally abusive mother. In other words, Undyne was likely a pedophile as well, perhaps one who didn't have a strict child attraction. Should this be explored more in Fawn? It isn't typical for females to develop such a paraphilia, and even less likely for them to act on them, but then again, working with Papyrus had provided her with plenty of opportunities to offend.
Perhaps Undyne isn't a pedophile but just a heartless sociopath with no care for the well being of children—only she's depicted as showing guilt in this chapter.
Ah, musings, musings.
Anyway, I thought I’d show some of the more animal victims of the two. We have Hunny and two unnamed girls. Should they also be present in Fawn, or should Papyrus have only one victim and that being Frisk? Maybe Frisk isn’t his first, but rather the one that he fell in love with? Maybe Papyrus and Undyne developed their friendship through their lust of little girls? Maybe, just maybe.
has gastor even done scans of the fallen children bones? and has papyrus ask for a copy for creepy reasons?
Good question! I’d say yes Gaster has, but Papyrus hasn’t yet found them. He’ll be in for a pleasant surprise once he does. Just the simple image of little bones (even dead ones) will bring him back to the first time he watched that cygnet twirl.
do we every find out who gastor was upset at? were they a skeleton? or retired colleague?
We will find out who this mysterious someone is, and eventually what happens to them, later on. It won’t be in this chapter though, so if I only draw this first one and write the rest we won’t get to have visuals on them. If I don’t draw anymore chapters I’ll be sure to at least draw this mysterious someone after they are revealed.

So here is where I will stop the first chapter because...*drum roll*...Fawn is going to remain a comic! The past week and half of uploads have shown me that it is possible to get a good 20+ pages done, and not feel overwhelmed, so I'm in it for the long haul!
Of course, this doesn't guarantee frequent uploads, but it does mean that I'm moving the goalpost for myself with the hope of finishing chapter 3 by the end of the year. It also means we'll get to visually see all characters introduced in Lugubriosity, which will be a ton of fun for me to reimagine.
So! The next step is getting that scrolling page done and making a post linking to it. Once that's completed, I'll continue to post lumps of finished pages of future chapters, as I've been doing with chapter 1, to allow you guys to give feedback before everything is transferred to the page scrolls. Sounds pretty nice, huh?
Also, what do you guys think of Starlah? Does she play a big role in future events? Maybe, maybe not, but gosh if she isn't a fun way to envision the birth of a gas giant.
The following blog contains mentions of sexual assault, domestic violence, and pedophilia. All depicted characters and scenarios are fictional. Any depiction of abuse will be handled with the explicit intention to avoid the glamorization of child exploitation and/or violence against women.
This blog is not an endorsement for abuse.
Fawn is not for the faint of heart. Expect triggering situations told in detail.
I’ll gladly include the backstory for all three images for @alikthemurdercat! Which by the way, I want to thank you dearly for liking my posts and following my page. :)
This story starts with a young human woman named Laura who had recently moved from her grandparents home in the forest after she graduated with her nursing degree. Laura was only on her second day at the job when she was given a strange patient; a skeleton monster who had recently been arrested for getting into a physical altercation with his now ex girlfriend which resulted in a few minor injuries for him. Not so much for his ex girlfriend. Such a thing shouldn’t result in an assailant in custody dodging a holding cell for a hospital bed, but this skeleton was the brother of the newly elected governor, and that came with its perks. He was quite, but watched her with a smile.
Laura wouldn’t know better at the time, having no clue about his arrest as he was not handcuffed. So as she tried to remember what the seasoned nurse she was to shadow instructed of her—said nurse was off taking care of another patient as the hospital was severely understaffed—the skeleton man took a bite out of her hand out of seemingly nowhere.
Laura passed out.
she woke up two weeks later with a missing hand, and absolutely no idea what caused it. Her grandfather and a doctor appear shortly afterwards. She’s told she can soon head home, back in the forest, with her grandparents. As the two walk away, Laura over hears their conversation and discovers that while she lost consciousness, she was also raped, and the skeleton monster had gone missing. Unfortunately, the police weren’t making much of an effort to relocate him—likely due to his relationship with the governor.
As Laura and her grandfather drive home he tells her that her grandmother has a very special surprise waiting for her, and that despite her missing hand she is still as abled as anyone else. They will get through this together, he promises. She would just need to learn to give a mean knuckle sandwich with the other hand. Laura oddly feels nothing towards his words, nor her missing hand. She stays quiet as they make it higher up the mountain.
When they arrive at the cabin, it’s oddly quiet. Her grandfather makes note that all the lights are off and there is no smoke in the chimney. He calls for their German Shepherd who would often rush out the doggy door to greet him. No one comes. Her grandfather tells her to stay in the car as he goes to investigate, and Laura does just that.
She waits, and waits, and waits, but her grandfather doesn’t return.
It starts to get cold and unfortunately he took the keys with him to open the front door. Laura has no choice but to get out and go inside. As she climbs the porch, and opens the door, she finds the family dog lifeless by the mangled corpse of her grandmother. In the corner is a creature hunched over her disemboweled grandfather stuffing his face full of what was once a very kind man.
Laura runs, the creature follows. She makes it to the depths of the forest, too petrified to look back, but knowing it’s close by the rustle of the flora around them. There’s the shine of headlights in the distance. Laura screams, she trips, she tumbles. The creature lands on top of her, and as it sprays her family’s blood on her face, she is reminded of the skeleton monster in the hospital bed. She recognizes him completely despite his more disheveled look, and the loss of light in his sockets.
As she prepares to meet her grandparents in the afterlife, a shot goes off. It gets the monster at the tips of its skull which rains shards on her bloody face, and sends it running away in retreat. Laura can hardly move when a stranger enters her blurred vision. He offers her a hand to help her off the moist forest ground, and as she reaches up to grab it, she notices that it too is just pure bone.
Okay, so this is getting long winded, lol. I’ll need to add onto this to explain who that human man is in pic two, and also what the hell is going on in pic one.

As I was going through old files, I found a lot of the artwork I've done for Undertale rps back on Discord. Man, weren't those crazy times that I miss dearly. Unfortunately, those serves no longer exist, so now these images only live on in folders on my computer.
I thought I'd share some with you to change that.
These are only three of many. A lot of the artwork wouldn't make much sense without context, but that's okay. If anyone would care to hear backstories of roleplay that only mattered to a group of 4, I'd definitely get long winded with you and share EVERYTHING--or at least that which I remember.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this little piece of a time gone.
woah, i just had to say, i was reading "immature intrest" on a03, and you genuinely might be one of the best writers i have ever come across on that site. originally, when i saw the tags, i was scared it was going to be another weird insane fetish fic that i was going to traumatize myself with 😭 but holy shi u blew me away dude. its so well written, and ur ability to write such complex subjects is astonishing. its the first time im very avidly following a fic! im js hoping for a happy ending 😭
Aww! Thank you so much for this very kind comment. I will admit that Immature Interests was just one factor that inspired me to try my hand at an original novel. I’m letting my creativity run wild while still sticking closely to a plot. It’s a hard story to write, but one one that I enjoy.
Thanks again for reading, and I definitely have a happy ending planed for this story! :D
