Hello everyone! It's heirloomgem! I hope my lovely readers are doing quite well!đ„°
I would like to announce the winner of this month's one-shot, and it's none other than our handsome gentlemanly salaryman, Nanami Kento (The voting poll here)
I was surprised that Nanami Kento won the poll because I suspected Gojo Satoru would win. You know since he was the strongest and all that jazz but apparently not, lolđ€Ł. He would be surprised to see this that's for sure.
Anyway, Nanami's one shot might take longer to post with my current situation. Thank you for your patience.
If you have any suggestions on what to write for Nanami Kento x Reader, please feel free to drop or suggest! I'm open to any and all ideas!đ„°
Though, I won't guarantee that I'll use them but you're welcome to suggest! LOL! I'm such a fickle author. I'm sorryđ€Ł

Bakugouâs silly crush
I planned to just write a short fic but it ended becoming long. I hope you like it and that Bakugou isnât that OOC. Request are open, just send me a message or in my ask box.
Bakugou Katsuki knew heâs fuck up, the moment he realised these goddamn feeling he have for her.
Sheâs only supposed to be an extra, nothing more than that.
An exchange student in their second year, who can even barely speak the language and yet the moment he underestimated her, she gave him a slap in the face of just who she can really be. Very different from how she had acted when she introduced herself. Unassuming and weak-looking that he dismissed her quickly, noting that sheâs just another extra.
But that still didnât stop him from foolishly challenging her, curious as to what she have in getting admitted in U.A.
In the end, it ended with a tie but the amount of bruised and aching in his body made him reluctant in acknowledging her.
Even though, he have learned his lesson to never underestimate his opponent, the second he relapsed she quickly made him realised it all over again. Her quirk was nothing but weak and yet the skills that she have made Bakugou secretly respect her... begrudgingly that is.
It frustrated him, resulting in him training harder after that battle.
Little by little, he started noticing her.
At first, itâs only a whim, sheâd been sitting in her seat in their class, which was beside him, and quietly practising words under her breath but enough for him to hear before he rudely interrupted and pointed out how stupid it sounded, quickly giving the correct pronunciation of the word.
Surprise but not bothered by his rude attitude, she gave him a smile and a thank you before practising what he taught her.
Later on, Bakugou berated himself for what he did, thinking it was stupid and unnecessary before deciding that there wonât be a next time.
Unfortunately for him, there is.
The idiots that proclaim to be his squad ask him to be their tutor for the upcoming test.
Annoyingly following him everywhere until they provokingly ask if he just didnât know how to teach to which he angrily bit into, adding that he could fucking teach them until they could recite the periodic table in their sleep before realising that he stupidly stepped into their trap.
Bakugou could only pitifully covered it by saying how stupid they are they even need him to tutor them for something so simple that even grade school can solve.
What he didnât expect was her, though.
The idiots actually ask if she wanted to join and ask him to tutor her also since sheâs not that good in Japanese literature. Â
It did make him fluster, secretly.
Except for that one time; he doesnât know how to interact with her at all, sheâs always with that stupid Dekuâs group and all the girls in Class A and B.
He could only curse those idiots under his breath, his ears turning slightly red.
Thereâs something about her that always made him uncomfortably warm, making him quite and jittery most of the time whenever sheâs in the vicinity. Â
The day for studying and teaching those morons came and through it all, Bakugou tried his hardest in keeping his composure whenever sheâs asking questions or whenever sheâs near, else those idiots will notice for sure.
Bakugou also made sure to treat her like how he treated those idiots except lesser than what he usually does.
From all the other subjects, her score on Japanese literature was only the lowest as its understandable, itâs not her first language and yet Bakugou canât help but cackle at how mess up her pronunciations were nor the things sheâs mistakenly spelled, making a lot of hilarious misunderstanding at times.
Such us public became pubic, sweet tea to sweat tea, and many other more.
The look on her faces whenever someone pointed it out was amusing to no end that Bakugou canât help the small twitch in his lips whenever he remember them by the end of the day.
Study session soon became frequent after that.
At times, Bakugou would take the initiative to âcasuallyâ ask her as if by coincidence or just forcibly joined her and thanks to that her grade slowly rose up to a slightly above average.
The study sessions might have been chaotic thanks to his idiotic friends but because of it, Bakugou notice how she slowly relax and mingled more with class 2-A.
At first, sheâs been more polite and reserve but now sheâs been participating in having fun and teasing their classmates, sharing jokes, advice on training, joining conversation and hangout with people.
Bakugou even end up being one of her target in teasing once with damn Pikachu and flat face when heâd been hit by a damn quirk named good face that makes him look like a shitty shoujo manga protagonist.
The nerve she has when she told him itâs was revenge for making fun of her for her pronunciations and misspelling back then.
By the end of it, Bakugou relentlessly chase her, small explosion igniting in his palms as he threatens her from further teasing him.
That still didnât stop her until he stomp to his room, slamming his door angrily, to which their classmates heard throughout the building, and ignoring her for a whole day afterwards, did her teasing stop.
In the end, she offered buying him spicy foods to apologise and appease his temper.
Bakugou grudgingly accepted in the end after much begging from her to not ignore her and that it would never happen again. (Unfortunately, it wasnât lol)
Well, on Bakugouâs side, it isnât a bad deal. He not only could eat his favourite spicy foods but he could also hang out with just her.
A date
Or so he secretly told himself before denying the ridiculous notion.
Came weekend, with red tinted ears, Bakugou âgrumpilyâ went with her to have a spicy ramen and to a Chinese restaurant for a spicy mapu tofu.
Bakugou have to admit the foods were surprisingly delicious on his taste bud that day and itâs not because heâs with her. NOT AT ALL!
Her recent teasing did stop but later came a lot from his stupid friends after theyâre so called hang out and once sheâs out of earshot. Bakugou could only yelled at them to fuck off before turning around, heading for his room with a slight blush across his faces as he heard them cheering and whistle in the background.
The moment he did recognize and admit his crush was when he and his squad have been sitting around the living room of their dorm.
Pikachu and flat faces started talking about their type of woman before it started heading to their classmates in their group and in class B.
Bakugou could careless as he scrolled through his phone. Itâs not long before his attention went back to his friendsâ conversation when they mention her name.
His friends talked about how easy it was to hang out with her and how comfortable they were with her even though she just arrives not long ago.
Slightly agitated, Bakugou canât help but slowly shift in his sit, still pretending to go through his phone as he listens.
But then it went on to discussing on how she does have the looks and yet they canât help but feel that sheâs one of the guys. Kaminari then joke that rather than being a girlfriend material, she might instead beat them in having a beautiful girlfriend.
The boys agreed and canât help but think of how their female classmate can easily charm any of the U.A female students are. Thinking of those incidents, where many of the first year students always come in their class just to get a glimpse of their classmate and with how subconsciously suave she was.
They canât help but admire and envy her and yet every time they mention how good of a flirt she was, their female classmate always have a confuse look on why she suddenly became a flirt, making her classmates sweat drop and feel worried for her.
Kaminari crossed his arm with a âseriousâ look, nodding his head before bluntly stating that he might feel pity but their classmate might not have a boyfriend at all because of how popular she was with the same gender.
Not before long, a pillow slam hard in Kaminariâs face, making the poor guy fell backward from the sofa stool while others canât help but gawked at Bakugou, who suddenly threw the pillow with an angry face.
âFucking shitty Pikachu, you just have a shitty taste in woman.â Bakugou muttered menacingly.
If looks could kill, theyâre sure their electric friend would have died from the looks that Bakugouâs giving him. No, scratch that their poor friend might die any second with how their explosive friend tempers is, they could only pray in their heart for his survival.
They notice the fondness their explosive friend have for their female classmate ever since however they stupidly made a bet to say what they did just now to see Bakugouâs reaction.
At first, they have been reluctant but they appeared to have been influence by Kaminariâs recklessness, who was the one who have started everything and yet when they saw how Bakugou reacted they unconsciously jump into the wagon.
They started teasing him.
âBakugou, are you perhaps attracted to her?â
âHUH?â Their friend turned to them with the same menacing look and yet they still persisted.
âIf not, then you wouldnât have said what you just said.â They smirked,
â...â
They saw how their friendâs ear and face slowly got red before Bakugou averted his eyes that they hollered in amusement and cheering their blond friend.
Bakugou started shouting at them, his entire body shaking in embarrassment as he threatened them.
âYou fucking extra, you better shu-â
âOh? What going on in here?â
Hearing their female friend, Bakugou felt the dread he was about to be bombarded while his friends unable to stop the teasing smile from appearing on their face.
âHear this, it seems Bakugou hav-â
Just as one of them opens their mouth, Bakugou beat them, âFucking shut it. Itâs nothing.â
He grumbled, not looking at her direction, his eyes looking at his friends with a threat but his friends just averted their eyes, the smirks still on their lips.
Their female classmate hums before remembering something, rummaging on a plastic bag they carried.
âBakugou you like this snack with the spicy flavour right. You said you been looking for it. It just so happen that they started selling it. Here.â
Bakugou turned just in time to catch the snack they have bought for him and he saw that itâs really the snack that he have been craving at this time of the year. Itâs one of his favourite and yet the company who produce it only sell them seasonally.
He has mentioned it once in passing when the two of them went to buy a snack in a convenience store and yet they remember it and have bought him. Just the thought of it made the tip of his ear and his cheeks blush again.
At the same time, their female classmate immediately bade them good night saying that their class exercise have made them tired and sleepy as they went to the elevator and straight to their room, missing the chance of seeing Bakugou flustered at their simple action.
Once the elevator door close, Bakugou idiotic friends all at once started cheering and whistling at Bakugou as he roared at them to fucking shut up. He's tempted to blast their fucking faces however the snack that he has received made him hesitate as he might accidentally burn it.
Bakugou could only walked back to his room after much suffering from his friends, grumbling as he close his door with a slam, laying in his bed and burying his face on his pillow as his ears and cheeks tint an unbelievable shade of red.
Reluctantly, Bakugou admitted that he might have a small crush on his female classmate as he stare at his desk, from the corner, his favourite snack lying under his desk lamp.
If you want a continuation, just message me or ask me. I might write a continuation on how Bakugou would confess or how the reader would realize that they are in love with Bakugou.

Entering [MEMORY 1: THE FATED MEETING]
Jin-Woo opened his eyes and saw a familiar sight. The Hunters Association. He looked around and noticed his former self coming out of the room with a sigh and glum look. He recalled this; it was the day he first got his rank evaluated after his awakening. He walked to stand in front of his memory, noticing the difference in height and build, as well as aura. He received the lowest rank possible and showed the lowest mana measurement possible. This was a memory he didnât mind forgetting.Â
âArenât you too young to be a Hunter?â
Jin-Woo flinched. It was that voice again, and that came right behind him too. He turned around and saw an unfamiliar figure. His eyebrows furrowed. He didnât recall this, meeting someone like that after his evaluation. It never happened before.Â
âI have too.â His memory-self spoke timidly.Â
âIâll bet itâs for money.â The mysterious figure spoke with an understanding tone, no malice, no mockery, nothing but care. âFor yourself orâŠâ
âMy mother and younger sister.â
âVery noble of you.â The figure smiled warmly. âCan I offer some help? Iâve been around and I can direct you to some raids and teach you the basic of being a Hunter.â
âYou wonât convince me to quit?â While Jin-Woo does not know what his memory self is thinking, he could guess and understand why his past self said that. The people that helped him get his rank all tried to persuade him to give up any thoughts of being a Hunter and going into raids, because it would mean pain, suffering, and death.
The figure hummed and chuckled. âNo way Iâm doing that. Not when youâve already decided that youâre going to go through with it. The least I could do is help you experience better. By the way, Iâm with the Hunter's Association. I work all over the place, so you can always approach me with anything. Hunter [Last Name] [First Name] at your service.â
Jin-Wooâs eyes widened. So this person was the Hunter Jinchul was talking about, whatâs more, he knew her. He turned to his past self, seeing himself exchange names and contacts with the Hunter. His hand reached to clench his heart as he felt it ache uncontrollably. An unexplainable feeling over his entire body while he watched the two chat and laugh.Â
[MEMORY 1: THE FATED MEETING] Completed.
Entering [MEMORY 2: INTRODUCTION TO BETRAYAL]
The surroundings changed, and now he was inside what appeared to be a dungeon. He read over the memoryâs title; this canât be a positive one, but he has zero recollection of this place.
âWhat do you think youâre doing?â Your tone was icy and demanding, as were your composure and expression. You stood between a fallen memory of himself and a smaller group of Hunters; he also did not know who they were.
âIn a moment, monsters will fill the room. By then, we canât survive, and an outbreak will happen.â One of the Hunters said, âWe need to assess the situation and focus on what best to doâthe greater good.â
âThe greater good you speak of is to sacrifice Hunter Sung to the monsters while we leave. Donât you hear yourself right now?â You glared at the Hunters, your hand stretched out to your side as protection to the E-Rank memory self behind you, all weakened and frail. âForget it!â
The enclosed cave shook and made everyone wary. âYouâre giving us no choice! Weâre out of time!â
A smirk formed on your face. âThen why not die together? I rather that than let you let advantage of those you think are prey.â
One wall fell, but what caught Jin-Wooâs attention was the holographic book that appeared behind you, flipping its page to stop at a certain one before encasing both you and his memory self in a protective dome. Just as the Hunter team realized what you had done, goblins brutally ripped them to shreds. You hugged his memory self close to you, your words ringing loud amidst the chaos.
âJin-Woo, I wonât always be able to care for you. Please know that you should always follow your gut feelings when it comes to shady people. When you canât beat them in strength and power, protect yourself from danger. By any means necessary.â
Was this why he could tell that Hwang Dongsukâs team was dangerous and shady from the start? The familiarity of the situation came to him and gave him the direction he needed to take, even when he had forgotten about it all. He encountered a similar situation with another Lizard team in the past, but he had protection, which resulted in a different outcome.Â
[MEMORY 2: INTRODUCTION TO BETRAYAL] Completed.
Entering [MEMORY 3: HELPING DEAL]
Now he was in his somewhere he was all too familiar with. The hospital where he frequents for his wounds and injuries and his mother. He watched himself stressing over the various papers to pay bills, medical fees for his discharge and treatment, continuous medical fees for his mother, school tuition fees for Jinah, the rent for the month, daily living expenses. The list goes on. He couldnât help that he was weak and was knocked out of commission during a raid, yet his life goes on and if he canât afford all this thenâŠ
âLet me see that.â The papers suddenly yanked out of his memory-selfâs hands. âYou just recovered, and youâre panicking looking at all this. Seriously, what am I going to do with you, Sung Jin-Woo?â
Jin-Woo had somehow grown accustomed to your continuous appearance in his memory. Unconsciously, his form would stand as close as he could to you. If he couldnât, then heâd move to the perfect spot where he could see you and commit you to memory. Well, this was his memory, but heâll add it to the lost memories he will recover here soon. Okay, stop, too confusing. Either way, heâll remember. By now, he knew his face shared the same smile his memory-self would have when you appeared by his side.Â
âI canât help it.â His memory self sighed in defeat. âI think I need to trouble you for some raid tag-along or invitation.â
âNo need.â You looked over the papers and your phone at the same time. âI got a quicker solution for you to earn quick cash. Easily, in fact, you can do it immediately.â
âReally?â His memory-selfâs eyes sparkled. âHow?!â
You pointed at yourself. âYour piggy bank is right here.âÂ
Jin-Woo and his memory-self had the same reaction as they both gave you a look saying, âare you serious?â.Â
You waved your fingers, setting the papers on the table, âNo need to think you owe me or anything, just think of me paying for your friendship or something.â You shook your head, âNo, that wonât do. Hmm. Ah, why not let you pay me back in the future? I have a gut feeling that youâll earn big money then!â
âHow can an E-Rank earn big money?â His memory- self questioned you. Jin-Woo wondered the same, you sounded confident, and this wasnât the first time he had seen you check your phone for something before doing it. It was like a habit of yours or something like your safety net, to double-check before anything. He even tried looking at your phone screen when you do, but it was pitch black for him as if something was preventing him from seeing what you do.
âTrust me on this.â You smiled at his memory- self. âWhen have I ever done you wrong or go against my word?â
âNever?â
âExactly. Iâm here to help you, Jin-Woo.â
Jin-Woo looked over at you, his hand reaching out to ghost his hand over your form. His hand went through you as if he was a ghost. Although he is inside a memory and none of his actions had any effect on what had already happened, he wanted to keep watching. He wanted to feel physically your presence. The way his memory self was this relaxed when you were around and the trust his memory self has in you made his heartache.Â
The question in his mind now was how did he forget about you when youâve made such a big impact in his life?
[MEMORY 3: HELPING DEAL] Completed.
Entering [MEMORY 4: COMPANION FOR LIFE AND DEATH]
âItâs a chance to grow strong. Thereâs no way youâd let this opportunity slip by, right?â Your voice made Jin-Woo look back to see his memory-self and you sitting on a bench outside the hospital. âThis system of yours is helping you and you should use it to the fullest.â
Jin-Wooâs eyes widened. You know about the system and his quests? This was no ordinary friendship for sure at this point. He thought he didnât tell anyone of his secret to grow strong, but now there was someone that knew and was encouraging him to push forward. The person was none other than you, still he didnât expect himself to see it.
âI canât even finish the daily quests, itâs asking too much of me.â His memory self depressingly said.Â
You hummed, leaning back. âThink of it this way. If you were given infinite wealth, but you have no idea who to use it or place to store it. What would happen to you?â At his silence, you continued. âYou donât know what to do with it. Or itâs stolen from you. Right now, all youâre doing and what you told me the system is telling you to do is just the stepping stone to your greatness. Instead of risking your risk for some cash, why not dream big?â
âI know butâŠâ
âIâll do those daily quests with you. 100 push-ups, 100 what? Running too.â You tried listing what you recall. âWeâll do it side by side so youâre not alone in this. I need to exercise anyways.â
âYouâd do that for me?â There was a faint blush on his memory - selfâs face that made Jin-Woo do a double take. âBut I donât want to bother you too much. You have your work to do too.â
You smiled, âNo bother at all. I enjoy helping you. In fact, Iâll be your companion for life and death.â
[MEMORY 4: COMPANION FOR LIFE AND DEATH] Completed.
Entering [MEMORY 5: THE GIFT]
Jin-Woo and his memory-self eyed the sword in your hands, presented to him like a gift. While he was still staring, his memory version asked, âWhatâs this for?â
âA gift.â You nudged for him to hold it, when he did, you shook your head, âBoy, was that heavy!â You eyed him and shrugged. âYou find a use for it. Swords arenât my fighting style, anyway. Plus, it was collecting dust.â
âI already have my daggers.â He countered.
You gave him a look. âYou can use it or you can pass it to someone you trust to use it for you. I donât mind. Just accept it, please.â
âIf you say so.â His memory self sighed and placed it into his inventory.Â
There it was again. Jin-Woo noticed that youâve been hinting at future events for a while now. First, you predicted that there would be a time when money wouldnât be his concern, then you gave him lessons and advice on dangerous events he met with, now you implied that he would have beings that fight for him and by his side, no doubt pointing at his Shadow Army now that he was watching his memories.
You took out your phone again now that your hands were free of the sword, swiping through the screen at something he couldnât see. âThat swordâs called Unbreakable Faith. I think youâll figure out its function on your own in due time.â
Jin-Woo eyed the phone that you carry everywhere. In every memory heâs seen up to this point, you were never without your phone, even when you were in a fight or raid in a dungeon.Â
[MEMORY 5: THE GIFT] Completed.
Entering [MEMORY 6: A MISUNDERSTANDING]
Now, this scene was interesting. His Shadows were training, and his memory-self was exchanging blows with you. It was a session where he played his cards, and you countered themâeven pointing out weaknesses he had. If his army were there when you were, then do they recall you? That was something he needed to confirm.
Not long after, the two of them were resting, and Jin-Woo stood next to you. Had this not been a memory, there would have been a Jin-Woo on either side of you. Judging from the clothing he was wearing, it was still a time before he was reevaluated and given the S-Rank. The size of the Shadow Army also showed that it was the early days.Â
âA thought. Since you basically turn any dead beings into undead and a loyal soldier of yours with âAriseâ, what if you killed me and did that to me?âÂ
The question somehow made Jin-Woo snap as he stared down at the memory of you being that carefree and nonchalant about what you had just suggested. His memory self had the right of it when his hand crashed the water bottle in his hand.Â
âWhy would I ever do that?â
âOh, I donât mean just letting you kill me or something. Like if there was an unavoidable situation where you had to kill me for something. Or if you found me dead. Itâs better to âariseâ me and use me as a loyal soldier, right? I may be called the Laziest Hunter of All Mankind, but I know I have some mad skills and powers that could be yours to dispose of.â You explained your thoughts so casually and detached, as if you didnât see value in your own life.
âI would never. As if I could just do that to you.â
Jin-Woo saw the way you smiled bitterly while his memory-self was still busy composing himself from rage at the thought of having to do that to you. You who had been helping him since the beginning? He wasnât sure if his memory self heard what you said later on or not, but now he heard it loud and clear. âIf your memories of me are gone, you would. In fact,â There was this emptiness in your tone, more than that, your eyes dulled as if you were a doll. âYouâd have forgotten me and pushed me aside.â
âHey.â Jin-Wooâs memory-self got up and kneeled in front of you. In a blink, you were back to normal and both you and Jin-Woo watched his memory-self intensely. âThis is as good of a time as any, actually. If youâre not busy, and Iâm not clearing any dungeons with Jinho, would you like to get something to eat together? Not as fellow Hunters, but like a date because I really-â
âAh! Ah!â You lunged at him and covered his mouth. âWhat do you think youâre going to say! Think things through! Itâs just an idea! Donât let your impulses take over rational thinking!â
Jin-Woo could predict what his memory-self was about to say, and it hurt him when you halted him in the middle of his confession. Now he knew what his feelings for you were and what you were to him.Â
[MEMORY 6: A MISUNDERSTANDING] Completed.
Entering [MEMORY 7: FORGOTTEN DEATH]
In this snowy setting, he knew what event this was and when it happened. The Red Gate Incident. The Ice Elves on the battlefield proved it. He took one step and read the memoryâs title. His form froze. Death? His head looked around and just in time, he saw you taking an arrow to the chest for him. His form moved before he realized, but just as his arms were ready to catch you, you fazed through him and laid on the snowy ground.
His eyes widened as he moved away, kneeling beside you. The moment he did, his memory self was by your side, screaming and crying for you to wake up and open your eyes. He was desperate. All that screaming made his voice ragged. Still, Jin-Woo could only question why he had forgotten such a memory like that. His form flinched when his surroundings glitched and the emotional memory of himself turned silent and numb, exactly like a switch had snapped in him.Â
One moment he was hugging your body to his chest, crying and screaming, the next, he had discarded your body to the ground and left to put an end to the battle against Baruka. Jin-Woo knew how it goes, so he stayed by your side. He figured his past self was just too shocked and wanted revenge. He was like that as well. He knew himself. He watched your body glitch occasionally, and every time he reached for you, his hand went through your form. So he stopped trying. He wondered if it was a healing ability you had since he recalled Jinchul asking for you; there was no way you died here.
The exit of the gate generated itself, showing his past victory. Jin-Woo could hardly call it a victory when something like that happened. He watched his past self try to make Baruka a soldier but failed and thus his anger. Jin-Woo understood the sentiment, since that was a strong opponent. However, when his past self was just heading for the gate without you, he shouted, âArenât you forgetting someone?!â
To his horror, when he looked back, your body was gone. Where?
âWait! Donât go!â Jin-Woo shouted at his past self, he followed right behind his memory self, trying to knock some sense into himself. He knew this was a memory, but seeing you being forgotten and having relived the previous ones, he couldnât rationally think and act. âYouâre forgetting someone important!â
Despite it all, Jin-Woo watched in despair as his memory showed himself leaving the sight without so much as another word or a glance at you. There was no question where you were or the acknowledgement that you sacrificed yourself for him.
In Jin-Wooâs focus on his past self, he didnât catch your already healed body being carried by a member of the White Tigerâs Guild out of the Red Gate and sent to the hospital.
[MEMORY 7: FORGOTTEN DEATH] Completed.
Entering [MEMORY ???: THE REASON]
Jin-Woo looked around, partially exhausted, mentally. Another dungeon setting. He walked a few steps and sure enough, you were there and so was his past self. The unnerving part was how he saw himself screaming in pain while holding his head. You were glaring at something. He looked over to that direction and saw a window screen. It thought it was his systemâs notice, but the design was different, not to mention the colour.
It read the following:
[You have interfered in the protagonistâs path to the point of no return. The help and aid you have given was unnecessary. You will receive a punishment.]
Afterwards, his memory self was knocked unconscious. Jin-Woo watched as you clutched your head from pain, your body shook, and your form swayed and wavered. He heard footsteps behind him and saw a pack of wolves. He turned back to you. You were in no condition to fight and neither was his past self.
But by some miracle, you pushed through and protected yourself and him from the wolves. You collapsed onto the ground, panting, âWhat kind of punishment is it this timeâŠ?â
âThis time?â Jin-Woo repeated with dread. Every time you have helped him and aided him, has it resulted in your suffering? He watched familiar system screens trying to undo what was done and failing at every attempt. From the beginning, his system was trying to counter this bug.
You smiled and patted his past selfâs head. âDonât worry, Iâm not giving up on you.â
The scene shifted and he saw himself looking out the hospital window while dressed in white. Patient garbs. The door opened and in strolled you with a bouquet and a basket of fruits. âJin-Woo, how are you feeling? I told you not to push yourself too hard.â
Jin-Woo watched as his past self turned to look in your direction. He flinched at the emotionless expression on his own face. âWho are you?â
You, too, flinched at his cold words. Contrary to Jin-Wooâs confusion, you nodded and smiled bitterly with a soft mutter. âI see, so thatâs the punishment. Memory alteration.â
You sighed and placed the flowers and fruit on his table. âIâm a friend of your sister, Jinah. She couldnât make it today, so I came in her stead. She said to wish you a swift recovery!â
âOh, thank you for the trouble!â The way his memory self just lit up that easily when it wasnât you was sickening to Jin-Woo.Â
The scene shifted again. This time he was at a raid, and you were by his side trying to help him, but he remained unresponsive as he ignored your being entirely. Still, the way you kept continuing to protect him and indirectly help him made Jin-Wooâs head hurt and his heart ache uncontrollably. What sick and twisted ploy is this?
The scene changed. Now it was just himself fighting alone. You werenât even by his side anymore.
[! ALERT] <FLASHBACKS> have completely be re-experienced, Player will be returned to the present. <RESTORATION> is completed. Everything has been restored.
âInventory.â Jin-Woo immediately checked. In his inventory, there was this sword he had only seen in his memories. Unbreakable Faith. He received it from you. It was right there now, but before this whole thing happened, it was never there. Someone played him. His fist balled and slammed into the desk, creating a spiderweb of cracks, tears formed and flowed down to his cheek and chin. This heaviness, this unbearable void, all these feelings were rushing at him like a tidal wave.Â
[Sung Jin-Woo, there is no need to shed tears for a character with such little importance. All you have seen is useless and insignificant. Do not mind the details and look at the bigger picture. You have no need for the forgotten one.]
âHow could you do this? To just remove all my memories of someone so important to me, when I was at my lowest?! How could you remove her memories too?! This has nothing to do with you!â
You were innocent, you were merely helping him, you wanted what was good for him. Yet for some reason, your good will was returned with pain and suffering that he was ignorant to. Now, with his returned memories, he knew he had vowed to protect you in return for all the good you have shown him and helped him. What good was that vow when he had forgotten the receiver?! Were you like him? With chunks of memory gone from your mind and donât even realize the problem?Â
[You are mistaken. Only your memories have been meddled in. You who the traitorous constellation holds dear and finds solace in. What better torturous punishment than to be unwanted and forgotten by the one person that is treasured to the ends of the universe and more? This is the perfect retribution.]
âWhatâŠâÂ
[The forgotten one was doing too much damage to your story, so I saw it fit to send this fragment away from you. I thought my actions were merciful enough, given that I didnât interfere with your system to have you kill the traitor with your own hands. What was that quest called? <KILL THE ENEMIES>?]
âMercyâŠ?â
[Express your rage, depression, and murderous intent all you please. None would be effective to a being such as myself. Nor would it bring back that constellation to your side. However, do you truly even need such a presence by your side, Shadow Monarch? For how long have you forgotten those memories? For how long have you ignored such a presence? For how long have you ever needed that traitor? I give you your answers. You have been comfortable without that fragment for too long. Whatâs does it matter now that you know? It matters not. So, I give you this last chance.} [Do you accept this generosity to permanently forgot ever having this conversation and all relating to the forgotten one?] Accept
âSo, you slipped through my systemâs defenses by a small miracle, and that gives you the right to redact my memories of a person who saw me at my lowest point, when I was the weakest hunter of all mankind and still treated me like I mattered. But who said you could make her suffer for your own amusement? Thereâs no denying it. This isnât revenge, so donât give me that bullshit about a traitorâs retribution or the sins of a fragment. All I want to know, right now, is her location. Where are you hiding her?â
[You cannot hope to reach that forgotten presence. So do not waste your time and energy. The <SIDE CHARACTER SYSTEM> has made sure that inferior presence will never appear before your eyes ever again.]

âDevour it all!â
[You will regre& !@#$(@#(%*%@#(*$@)#$*)!*#*&!*@]
[! ALERT] Command received.Â
Jin-Woo collapsed in his chair. âWhere are you. Where are you now, [First Name]?â
[! ALERT]
A quest has arrived. <SEARCH FOR THE FORGOTTEN>
Do you accept?
Yes No
[! ALERT]
A hint will be given upon acceptance.
âA hint.â Jin-Woo read through it. Exhausted from all the ball passing, Jin-Woo felt like a pawn in someoneâs game and was accustomed to hurting someone he cared for. Now, he has the chance to take it all back and redeem himself. The first step was to look for you and bring you back to his side. âAccept.â
Do you wish to read [ITEM: LETTER TO THE MONARCH]? Yes No
âYes.â In an instant, a piece of paper materialized in his hand. His hand brushed the words written on it and checked the signature at the end. When he saw it had your name, he immediately read through it. The more he read the worse his mood. By the end, he slammed it on the desk. âMy Shadows!â
At the moment it took for his Shadows to materialize in front of him, enough to fill the room, he had gotten the picture Jinchul had sent to his phone. A clear picture of how you appeared, just as he remembered and saw in his memories moments ago. âFind Hunter [Last Name] and bring her back. Now!â

Summary: Being born as a boy in another world was more than enough trouble to deal with but apparently, the gods werenât satisfied with just that and smashed him in the face with a curveball by getting involved with none other than Sung Jinwoo, the main character of Solo Leveling.
Kiran calmed himself, âIt should be okay. As long as he didnât get too involved and only supported him on the sideline. He shouldnât be able to disrupt the plotline all that much. As long as he leaves once everything is settled.â While thinking that, Kiran awkwardly patted the crying boy on the head to comfort him.Â
.
âThis should be fine.â He thought as he tutored Jinwoo little by little to learn some combat techniques he was taught as a soldier.Â
Strict and cold, completely different from his usual cheerful and casual personality, E-rank Jinwoo trembled at the vast difference.
He didnât like this change.
He wants âhis Kiranâ back, the Kiran who would pat him on the head with warm eyes.
..
âIt wouldnât hurt to do this once in a while.â He thought as he cooked a warm meal for the siblings, paying a little more attention to Jinwooâs favorite dishes to nourish him for his next raid.
Unbeknown to Kiran, this made Jinwoo particularly picky about his favorite food after. If it wasnât cooked by Kiran, Jinwooâs tongue could only taste the food as bland.
...
Watching proudly on the side as his little charge finally gets announced as an S-rank to the whole world and gets close to the future Mrs. Sung, Cha hae in.
Kiran thought âItâs probably time to leave. They should be fine. He should be fine now.âÂ
Kiran smiled, completely unaware of the longing and heated gaze being given to him by the man whom Kiran stayed with all this time, through thick and thin.
....
Facing the person in front of him, Kiran nonchalantly listened as he sipped his coffee, âKiran, you should finally join the organization. Itâs the only place for âus peopleâ where we could at least belong somewhere in this world.âÂ
When he said âus peopleâ, he meant people who have been either reincarnated or transmigrated from their old world and got stranded in this bizarre world of novels.
Since Kiran has finally decided that it's time to leave the siblings now that the Sungâs mother has awoken from âthe eternal slumberâ. Kiran couldnât help but contemplate the idea of joining, in truth he doesnât have anywhere else to go once he leaves.
When Kiran stayed silent, lost in a daze, his shadow darkened and shivered severely, unnoticed by him.
.....
Breathing heavily, Kiran wiped the sweat on his chin as he eyed his foe. His eyes dilated and a maniac smile painted on his lips, finally having been released after so long, his blood boiled in his veins telling him to defeat his enemy and to never hold back ever again.
The same intent seems to go through his opponent as they laugh in amusement before covering their face, heaving, and clutching their stomach.
âHahaha! Forget about what I said earlier. Youâre an interesting one.âÂ
They smirked at him before raising a hand, beckoning him. âI like you. Come and join me instead.â
Kiran, having been ready to rebuke the man, flinched at the sudden spike of bloodlust, his opponent paling and the surrounding people.
âWhat the-?â
Looking where it came from, Kiran shivered as he stared at Jinwoo, his eyes glowing and filled with so much rage it was hard to breathe.
One thing was running through Kiranâs mind, âHis opponent just called his death flag for some reason.â
......
Kiran groaned as two strong arms, that were once weak; cage him into the chest of the man behind him. Jinwoo buried his head on his shoulder and angrily whispered behind his ear, eyes burning with fury and turning a dark purple hue.
âAll this time, Iâve only gotten stronger so that no one steals something important to me and yet, everyone just wants to take you away from me all the time.â
Kiran, â....â
âFuck...âÂ
Just where did Kiran go wrong to have unknowingly raised a yandere, especially since the world he was born in was supposed to be a shounen action manga, not shounen-ai?!

Hey guys, and welcome back to the next episode of this crossover mini series!
I know that's been a while since anything was uploaded on the Star Stream but as you may or may not know, I had to take some time off from here and focus on my personal life for a while before I was comfortable to come back here to continue writing as it gets colder in my corner of the world. I did get a lot of messages from you guys saying that my health is more important than an update and to take as much time as I needed, that everyone will be here when I come back.
So, to everyone who did send me those messages, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I'm really blessed to have found a community who care about me as a person rather than someone whose content is interesting and wants to read more of it.
Edits were made by the fantastically talented @circeyoru. Image provided by @pa1nrema1ns.
With that being said, let's see what will be broadcasting on today's Star Stream~! Comments from constellations are welcomed~!

America had been your initial destination to travel after spending a few days in the safe house until you realized it was not a good idea. You had been so focused on completing the scenario that you forgot why you had to avoid the United States; itâs the base of the Scavengerâs Guild, operated by Thomas Andre and where Hwang Doongsoo had been waiting to get clearance to travel to Korea again after being pummeled by Jinwooâs father. In the novel, the protagonist killed Dongsooâs older brother, Hwang Dongsuk, in a dungeon. It was in self-defense since the lizard tried to kill Jinwoo and Jinho to make some fast cash.
Dongsoo wasnât above taking Jinho as a hostage to lure the S-Class Hunter into an interrogation inside an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city before Jinwoo kicked his ass. If this bastard did his homework, heâs probably already aware that youâre connected to Jinwoo, or had been until you left Seoul. Getting involved with a major antagonist would cause the novelâs plot to deviate even further, which will give your shitty Side Character System a reason to penalize you for your unintentional involvement, despite your completion of the previous scenario.Â
For now, at least you had access to Biyooâs foodstuff in the Systemâs shop. The little one needs to eat properly in order to grow up healthy. Mana crystals, not so much since youâve officially retired as a Hunter. Which brought up the next issues you had to figure out: bringing in a steady income. Youâve saved a lot of money after coming into the novelâs world, but it wonât last forever. You would need to look at online job ads soon. Though if you couldnât hide in America, there is Europe. The guilds there arenât close to the ones here in Korea; at most, the relationship is mutual, and youâre pretty sure they wouldnât care if someone like you is doing a small tour in the corner of their world so long as you donât cause any problems.Â
Guess Iâll have to figure out how soon I leave Busan. You thought as you carefully slid the diced up monster meat off of the cutting board with a knife, pouring the rancid-smelling stuff into a small white bowl decorated with tiny paw prints. Biyoo immediately dug in once you placed it on the kitchen island, though she almost squeezed her whole body inside of the bowl. Â
Seeing the little dokkaebi getting stuck both amused and scared you before you gently pulled her back from behind, careful to not tug on her fur. Definitely will have to prep some meals for too, and thereâs also snacks and water.Â
You groaned. Whoever said planning a vacation is fun needed to be yeeted out of the window. Or go through a scenario. Whichever made them suffer more.Â
Three days later, you locked up the safe-house and drove to Gimhae International Airport. Biyoo was sleeping in your Interdimensional Cloak, a small pocket in infinity that no one could access except you. Your travel documents were still valid and your carry-on bag had everything you needed. As much as you despised the System, the Item Box feature allowed you to store away belongings so long as it wasnât taller or heavier than your own body. So when security looked through it with their scanners, all they would see were five daysâ worth of clothes, toiletries, a charger, and a book. At least you hoped so.Â
In the end, they gave you clearance to board the flight, and you left Korea to explore the world. There is a small part of you that didnât want to leave Korea, you couldnât lie about that. As a reader, you wanted to make sure that this story reached all the way to the happy ending, even if thatâs what the Side Character System is supposed to do. Of course, too much interference from you came with the alternation of Jinwoo's memories. His memories of you.Â
It first happened at the hospital. You visited him and made sure he was all right, bringing him some flowers and a plastic bag of his favorite takeout. But instead of seeing a flustered expression on that cute face or a smile, he stared at you as if you were nothing to him. That you meant nothing.Â
âWho are you?â He asked calmly, his voice steady and with no trace of emotion whatsoever. You had looked at him for a moment before you smiled bitterly. Of course itâs a sadistic System. When its host doesnât play by the rules, penalize them in the worst way possible: by having the person you care about the most not know who you are. So you lied and said you were a friend of Jinahâs and came to visit him on his behalf. He bought the excuse, and then that was that.Â
You did try to be nice though, when you did cross paths with him in the dungeons. But whenever you said hello to him or extended an invitation to grab a drink after the raid was over, Jinwoo would stare at you with narrowed eyes and politely decline. At this point in his second awakening, he grew distrustful of everyone and believed they had a motive for wanting to associate themselves with him. It wasnât hard to deduce that he thought you would spike his drink. But you would never hurt the protagonist when all heâs ever done to you is give you hope in a fuckled up world in those pages youâve read over and over on your phone. You were cruel, perhaps an irredeemable monster, but not to that extent. So, you remained his life companion, but operating from the shadows and ensuring that his family would be safe and taken care of whenever he left for extended periods of time to level up.Â
In your defense, you had tried to ignore Jinahâs phone calls with a text citing that you were pretty busy but promised to take her out for coffee when she wasnât studying or doing chores. But somehow, she tracked you down at a cafe near the train station and demanded why you were avoiding her. You had to lie to her about what was going on because the System threatened to remove her memories if you stepped out of line. Although she wasnât happy with the story you spun about working too much and lost track of time, you pleaded with her to not say a word about you to her big brother. Sung Jinwoo would hunt you down and kill you if Jinah mentioned it.Â
Naturally, she was confused by your paranoia but swore she wouldn't say anything, but hoped things between you and Jinwoo would get worked out because she did miss hanging out with you. You felt your heart plummet to the pits of your stomach when she said that, but you hide your grimace behind a practiced smile. It would never happen because he doesnât remember you.Â
Time passed, and you had died protecting him in the red gate and he did not blink as you fell into the snow and took the blow that would have severely crippled him in the fight against the Ice Slayers. Typical of a protagonist like Sung Jinwoo. And a reminder that you will never have a place in Korea, in the world of Solo Leveling, in the protagonistâs heart. As if you really needed to be reminded how insignificant your role is. Plus, heâs fated to be with Cha Hae-in, and that is his happy ending.Â
Youâve read those moments in the novel over and over, but having the Side Character System broadcasting them on the screen for you to remind you of your place is a little different than seeing the written letters. You saw how flustered the cool-headed protagonist will get when his shadow accidentally showed Hae-in soaking in the tub when he was raiding the High Orc dungeon with Jinho. You saw Cha Hae-in stumble over her words when he asked her why she wanted to join his guild, and how her townhouse shook after she saw a picture of him with another woman on social media.Â
These images were a message. A warning to not cling onto hope and just let Sung Jinwoo go. To forget about him. And thatâs what you have done. Now?  Youâll have to make one on your own without a phone or a notebook or Sung Jinwoo. It was time to move on. Start a new chapter in your life as a background character.Â
The first stop on your itinerary is merry old London. And from there? Well, youâll figure it out as you go.
Taking a hot-air balloon ride in Italy. Walking through the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles. Buying souvenirs and trying street food in Istanbulâs Karakoy Alley. Enjoying a glass of wine with a plate of tapas after visiting the Basilica in Barcelona. The world is definitely bigger and brighter outside of Seoul. Instead of screenshots on how to defeat monsters and completing scenarios, there are more photos of you and Biyoo, with her acting like a stuffed animal in your hands at different destinations.Â
Although touring Europe isnât a bad thing, thereâs still finding a job and a new place to live. Active and retired hunters received certain benefits as long as they kept their license from expiring. Itâs why youâve been able to create so many memories with Biyoo as you have without going broke. But you were cheap, and you would not purchase a house in Spain no matter how persuasive the real estate agent youâre meeting is or the travel blogs say. Staying in the country for over 90 out of 180 days is not allowed for foreigners, even if they have a visa and a Hunterâs license. London had apartments, so did Paris. Problem was most of them had thin walls, so anyone could hear Biyoo if she left alone, mewling anxiously for you to come back home. The last thing you wanted was to draw more attention to yourself.
Almost a month and half later, bouncing between hotels and filling out job applications, you can safely say that you were financially secure and all settled in your new chalet in the French Alps. You stay there in the summer, and rent it out for a fee during the winter when everyone comes to ski or snowboard. Thatâs where your secondary home, a modest villa in Padua, Italy, came into play. The gardens were extensive enough for Biyoo to wander around in with no nosy neighbors, and your job allowed you to work remotely, so income was no longer an issue.Â
Who would have thought Hunters struggled to find the best places to go on a family vacation or wanted tips on not getting scammed at speciality stores when they were out of town? The magazine you now worked for is like Americaâs Better Home and Gardens, but geared towards Hunters. The supervisor gave you an assignment and you would email the completed article by the designated deadline. Easy enough, and that you were a former Hunter wouldnât be public knowledge without your explicit consent is a delightful bonus. It also helped to have a pen-name too.Â
Things were finally quieting down, allowing you and Biyoo to have a peaceful life far, far away from the novelâs plot. So why hasnât the next scenario appeared yet?
Did the Side Character System go on a hiatus until certain conditions are met to trigger it again? Is there something youâve overlooked in your haste to leave Korea? You werenât sure, since you were still required to complete the daily quests or else there would be a penalty.Â
You just hoped this period of tranquility wasnât an omen that something terrible was going to happen soon. Biyoo wouldnât be able to handle another sudden move. It would stress her out and sheâd go on a hunger strike.Â
What you didnât realize is that trouble in the shape of a brooding S-Class Hunter is already on his way to Europe for a meeting with the Editor-in-Chief of a magazine at their London headquarters for an exclusive interview. Or so thatâs what Sung Jinwoo told them over the phone.

Summary: You have always loved Nanami since childhood however you learned that he has someone he loves. Would you confess or not?
Disclaimer: I donât own anything except for my characters and plot.
Warning/Genre: OOC, Romance, Fluff, Angst, Comedy, Depression AU (Sorry for the miss grammar)
Sorry for the long wait! HERE IT IS! I hope you enjoyed it!
CEO Nanami Kento x Reader (slight mention of Geto x Gojo)
You have experienced unrequited crushes since you were a teenager; however, a painful unrequited love is a first for you.
Back when you were in high school, you had a crush on your senior, Gojo Satoru.
You had long forgotten what made you fall for such an idiotic man.
It might have been his charisma, his handsome face, his beautiful eyes, or his skills in being good at anything he took interest in.
However, that only lasted in your second year of high school. Satoru, on the other hand, was in his last year, preparing for graduation and entering college life.
You didnât know how your group had formed with the famous 3rd-year trio.
But Kento and Yu have been your childhood friends since your family moved into their neighbourhood. So being admitted into the same school was no surprise.
Yet at some point in time, your group somehow merged with the 3rd year trio who were popular in their year.
One is Gojo Satoru for his loud and charismatic personality combined with his handsome face, eccentric hair and blue eyes.
Second is Geto Suguru for his mysterious and calm persona. He's also handsome with his long black hair, which seems to tantalize girls and adds to his charm.
And lastly, one of the school beauties is Ieri Shoko, a brown-haired beauty. She was one of the top students in your school, admitted to a prestigious medical university.
Of course, the two were the same, they were guaranteed a spot in the top college of their own choice.
It was quite comical really. A group of juniors being grouped together with some 3rd years.
Even up to this day, it astonished you how your group had formed, but you could still recall it. It was because of your crush on Gojo that these unlikely people had met and formed.
As the years passed, the two completely different groups of friends remained in touch and grew even closer, especially as you all entered college and made new friends. Your group seems to grow bigger.
In one of your favourite restaurant bars, some of your friends were already there and had started drinking by the time you arrived.
Gojo seems to have taken on the role of a host as Geto and some of your friends have yet to come.
The same could be said about your two childhood friends.
Yu was on his way to pick up his girlfriend from work. They would arrive together later, while Kento was still busy at work with Geto, working on a collaboration project.
Both of them had become the CEO of their own company. Each works really hard to create their own.
You couldn't be more proud of Kento for achieving his dream.
Sitting down in one of the booths, you ordered a drink. Watching as your white-haired friend drank and tried to liven up the party. At the same time, teasing and making fun of your friends and catching up.
You couldnât help the smile on your lips.
Even though you were in a bar, it was a quiet one. One where you could have a drink and relax with soft music playing in the background.
The bar is illuminated with a cozy ambient from the lights. It was one of your favourites because of the atmosphere and the delicious cocktails and foods they make.
The bartender owner greeted you with a smile and served your drink. Taking a sip, you savour the sweet flavour and alcohol on your tongue, feeling the fatigue slowly ease from your body.
Your shoulders, tense from all the work, relaxed unknowingly.
Turning around, you started chatting with your friends, laughing and catching up, and ordering foods to fill your stomach.
As the alcohol flowed and the atmosphere warmed up, some people's tongues loosened and gossip started flowing.
Flicking the ash from her cigarette, Shoko asked, "So, how's it going with Nanami? I've noticed something more between the two of you lately."
You looked up at your friend, your eyebrow furrowing in confusion.
"What do you mean?" You asked. "I have no idea what you're talking about."
Your friend rolled her eyes, her voice lazy as she teased you.
"You and Nanami. What? Don't tell me you haven't confessed even though he has already returned from abroad. You should take the chance. Don't wait for him to confess first, or you might miss your chance."
Hearing this, you panicked and tried to cover her mouth. However, it was in vain as your other friends turned their heads in your direction, curiosity in their eyes, ready to hear more about this juicy gossip.
Shoko just laughed and gave you a smirk.
"It's not like others don't know⊠more like they already know your painstaking love for your childhood friend for a long time"
She exhaled a puff of cigarette smoke and watched it drift lazily into the air.
"My dear, you wear your heart on your sleeve too easily. The only one who doesn't know is your beloved Nanami."
âShoko, please! Will you be quiet!â You pleaded as you leaned over and tapped her on the arm, feeling your face flush.
Groaning, you buried your face in your hand.
"Hmm? What's this? I heard something about Y/n and Nanami. Is there something going on?" Gojo asked in a sing-along tone as he came over.
It seems the commotion between you and Shoko caught his attention and now he's ready to milk you dry for gossip, even though you have none.
âNothing is going on,â You stated as you gave Gojo a slight glare, warning him to drop the topic. But the man seemed to not get the hint or if he did, he ignored it, feigning ignorance.
"Oh, come on now. Don't be stingy."
You groaned again as you shook your head, feeling an incoming headache already.
Taking a sip of your new cocktail, you tried to ignore the man and hoped he would drop the topic. However, Shoko and Gojo didn't seem keen on stopping as they continued to tease you.
âI was just asking about her and Nanami,â Shoko said as she gave a knowing look at Gojo.
Gojo smirked as he glanced at you, taking the hint. A mischievous glint in his eyes.
âAnd here I thought you were still crushing on me. How could you cheat on me, Y/n?â He pouted, his smooth lips jutting out and the corners of his eyes pointing down as he looked aggrieved at you.
âI didnât know that you and Nanami were in that kind of relationship.â
âWeâre not.â You snapped, starting to get annoyed at the man-child in front of you.
Both of your friends gave you a look, not believing you in the slightest.
"Just admit it, Y/n. We've seen how sad you were when Nanami went abroad to study. You were so wrecked that you lost so much weight and almost failed your first year of University. You were so miserable without him."
Shoko raised a brow at you as if proving a point, continuing.
"We've also known that you have always loved Nanami all this time, even though you had a little bit of 'scandal' with this idiot here."
She pointed at Gojo, who placed a hand over his heart and appeared offended.
"What scandal? Miss, for your information, I have always been a clean man." He stated, his chin pointing up, being dramatic.
You rolled your eyes at him for his exaggeration and turned your head to avoid your friends' inquisitive looks.
You admit that you had a crush on Gojo when you were in high school. You were attracted to his confident personality and handsome face, but that only lasted until graduation.
However, when Kento went abroad to further his education, that's when you realized that your feelings for him were more than just being a childhood friend.
You were in love with him.
You just never realized it. Since growing up, you have been so used to having him by your side that you have unconsciously taken his presence for granted
But when he left, you felt a massive hole open in your heart. An empty feeling inside you as if another part of you has gone missing.
Because of it, you slowly spiralled down from the sudden realization, leaving you a mess.
You have been in contact with Kento through text, but as time passed, it became harder to maintain. With the time difference between where Kento is and how busy you have been with your University life, your contacts slowly dwindled.
And now it has been almost a year before he contacted you again.
Picking up your phone without checking the caller ID, your eyes instantly reddened when you heard his voice, calm and composed as ever.
"How have you been, Y/n?"
It was Kento.
You choked back a sob as tears slowly gathered in your eyes. A deep ache echoed inside you. How much you have missed his voice.
Taking a deep breath, you tried to steady your voice, not wanting to give anything away, as you know that even a little he would be able to pick up on it.
"I'm doing well. Just busy with school. I didn't anticipate our professor assigning such a huge project right at the start and it seems to keep piling up no matter what."
You scold yourself. Of all the things you have to say, you just have to complain to him even though he finally contacted you after such a long time.
"How have you been, Kento? I hope you're doing well. I've heard that winter there was harsher than here," You awkwardly chuckled, trying to play it off.
"It's not too bad, but I do miss the weather there." Kento's short answer tugged at your heartstrings. Slowly, a tear escaped and rolled down your cheek. You blinked hard, trying to stop the others from falling.
There was a moment of silence between the two of you before Kento spoke again.
"....I heard from Yu. It seems you haven't been doing well."
You froze.
You didn't expect Yu to tell Kento about your condition, though with the anxious looks he's been giving you lately, you guess it was a given.
Looking at yourself in the window, your reflection stared back at you. You noticed the dark, hollowed cheeks, dark circles under your eyes, and dry lips.
Your body had obviously lost so much weight that you could feel your bones protruding. Your arms and legs were nothing but nearly skin and bones. Your face is gaunt and haggard.
It appears that no matter how much you hide your circumstances from your friends, it was pointless, especially from Yu.
You realize what a mess you really were in. How much of an asshole you have been for making your friends worry to the point that they have to contact Kento about you.
You gave a strained laugh, "They're worrying too much. It's just...university has been a little tough. I'm still in my first year so it's a given-"
"Don't lie, Y/n." Kento interrupted, his stern voice making it impossible for you to utter another lie.
He's always been like this. He always knew when you were lying.
The tears you had been holding back came crashing down, and all the pent-up emotions you had been suppressing came pouring out like a tidal wave. You couldn't stop the tears from flowing, and your shoulders shook with sobs.
You pulled the phone away from your ear, trying to muffle your sobs and you couldn't help but whisper, "...I miss you so much, Kento."
And just like that, with a few words, Kento was able to break the dam in your heart.
Your cries came out softly, but you were sure Kento heard you. He didn't end the call, but stayed silent, giving you a moment to let it all out and calm down.
Even though Kento was thousands of miles away, you felt his presence beside you, listening and never leaving you. You knew that he would always be there for you, no matter what.
After a few minutes had passed, you wiped your tears and tried to compose yourself but the soft hiccups still escaped your mouth.
"Y/n" Kento whispered, his voice incredibly soft and tender, soothing your turbulent heart.
"...hmm"
"I'll come back. Wait for me, okay?"
The tears, you thought you had finally stopped from earlier, flowed down your face again.
You swear Kento has a knack for making you cry so easily lately you couldn't help but ponder just where he learned such a thing.
Sniffling, you nodded however you remembered that he couldn't see you.
"Mmm..." You gave a soft reply as you sobbed and cried again.
What he said wasn't a promise but a statement.
You know that Kento doesn't make promises because he finds them nonsense and fragile. But you also know that he is a man of his word, and when he says something, he means it.
So when he says he'll come back, you know he will.
It was one of the reasons why you have loved this man.
You made a resolve to start getting back on your feet and working towards a goal.
You were determined to face Kento when he returned with the best version of yourself. Not wanting to show such a miserable wreck that you once were.
If he ever rejects you, at least you can say that you did everything you could and gave it your best. That way, you won't have any regrets.
"Ah~ but I've heard that Nanami has someone he has been in love though."
Gojo's voice snapped you out of your reverie, and a pang of realization washed over you.
It made you remember why you had been so distant from Kento lately.
When Kento finally returned from his studies abroad, you were the first one to greet him at the airport.
You were shocked by how much he had changed. The boy you knew from years ago was now a man.
Mature and calm. Taller with broad shoulders and a lean waist, handsome with a slender brow and sharp eyes, the naivete that was once there is gone.
Instead of a high school uniform, Kento now wears a suit, and his hair is slicked back with an undercut.
No more of the side bangs that you once always played with.
He was so different yet still the same.
He still has that same stern and reserved personality but cares for those close to him, especially to you.
Once you two reunited, you were so happy. You made sure to always try to meet him despite your busy schedule, trying to make up for all those years that you were apart.
At the same time, you also wanted to show your interest but you also know to show some restraint. You didn't want to scare him.
For now, you were content that he was back.
However, one afternoon, just as you were about to meet with Kento to ask him out to dinner, you overheard a conversation between Geto and Gojo.
The conversation was about Kento, and you couldn't help but eavesdrop.
Geto and Kento had recently started a joint project for their two companies.
So it was no coincidence that you found him in Kento's company's rest areas while Gojo was one of the biggest shareholders in Geto's company. It was a given he was also a part of the project.
You took a step back so as not to be spotted and heard your white-haired friend ask if Kento had a girlfriend as one of his female coworkers seems to be interested in your childhood friend.
Hearing this you couldn't help but frown, your hand clenching and a sour feeling rose in your chest.
Geto chuckled and shook his head.
"Really?" Gojo asked in surprise.
"I thought for sure he had a girlfriend since he seems to be the type to settle down first. Or maybe even a fiance."
"No, he doesn't have one but he does have a girl he really loves," Geto said as he exhaled a puff of smoke, tapping his cigarette.
"He was planning to ask her to be his girlfriend, but something happened and it didn't work out. However, I heard from him that he's planning to ask her again."
Gojo perked up.
"Really! Who is it? Who is Nanami in love with? Do I know her?" He asked excitedly, leaning forward as curiosity got the better of him.
Geto only chuckled at the man's antics before patting him on the head, telling him it wasn't appropriate to tell too much as it was not his place to share such a secret.
Gojo could only whine at his friend and dropped the subject, understanding that no matter how much he pestered Geto, his friend would not budge and reveal the identity of the woman Nanami was in love with.
He instead brought up a new topic to discuss, leaving you wondering who was the girl Kento was in love with.
You were stunned. A myriad of emotions surged through your mind in an instant but eventually, they all melted into a strong feeling of bitterness.
No wonder Kento never had a girlfriend for so many years. It turned out he had someone in his heart all along and now he seems intent on getting back with that girl.
You couldn't help but wonder.
What kind of girl does he like? What does the girl Kento love, look like? If that girl came back to him, would he surrender immediately and reconcile with her?
You even absurdly imagine them together.
Feeling a sob escape your mouth, you hurriedly went home that day, cancelling on Kento through a short message. You didn't call him as you didn't trust your voice not to tremble once you heard his voice.
That day, you drank until you couldn't stand.
You were glad you were home and never went out, otherwise you would have called Kento and made a mess of things, which you would have regretted later.
However, ever since then, you have distanced yourself from him.
Avoiding every gathering with your friends to try to minimize the chances of running into him.
You respect Kento too much to burden him with your feelings and ruin everything. You might resent the fact that the girl he loves might not be you but you still wanted to be friends with him no matter what.
Besides, you also have your own principles that you abide by, not wanting to put yourself in a complicated situation if the girl returns.
But by avoiding him so suddenly, he quickly noticed.
He tried to call you, wanting to confront you about such a sudden change.
You could only make an excuse that you were busy with work, but he knew that wasn't the whole truth.
And since knowing Kento for so long, you already know he wasn't the type to let this matter pester for so long and would eventually resort to seeing you in person.
However, you didn't want to see him, not until you could sort out your feelings for him or else you risk breaking down in front of him.
Without any other choice, you quickly set up to go on a business trip.
Successfully stopping him from seeing you as he wouldn't be able to chase after you because his company was in a crucial situation with the current project he was working on.
Thanks to it, you have been able to avoid him completely however, this time you couldn't turn down the invitation as one of your friends is getting engaged.
You knew you couldn't hide forever, and you didn't want to miss your friend's special day so, in the end, you concede.
Meeting him became inevitable.
Anxious and nervous, you have been drinking a lot since the moment you sat down, trying to calm your nerves and distract yourself.
But once they started talking about Kento and you, the bitter feelings you had been able to push back slowly rose in your chest and your mood turned sour.
You unconsciously started drinking heavily and because of it, your temper became fickle.
Eyeing the man in front of you, childishly making fun of your previous crush on him and on Kento, you couldn't help but realize that the man-child in front of you was the reason why this all started.
Suddenly, the urge to wipe that grin off his face with a slap was so dangerously tempting that your hand twitched.
However, you have been a person to never resort to such action and unnecessary violence. So you tried to think of something, attempting to divert your attention or else you might just do it.
You sigh to calm down but a dark expression still shows on your face.
Seeing this, Gojo eye's gleam with mischievous, unaware that he had stepped a foot on his grave, pushing you over the edge.
"What? Someone's jealous? Maybe I should try being your cupid and set you up with Nanami? Hmm? Maybe by then, I could give your pretty little ass a boost and not be a coward anymore."
Your lip twitched.
Maybe wiping that smug look on his face isn't so bad after all, you thought.
Lifting a hand and caressing his cheeks, you caught him off guard.
You gave a dark smile and a shiver involuntary went down his spine, his back sweating bullets.
SMACK!
Walking out of their own car and heading to the restaurant bar, Nanami and Geto let out a sigh of relief, taking off their jacket and loosened their tie.
They have just finished a meeting that has gone on for hours than necessary.
And now having finally finished, all they wanted was to drink, eat and relax throughout the night before being plunged to work the next day.
However, when they entered the bar, what awaited them was not what they had expected as they witnessed you and Gojo in the middle of the bar, engaged in a brawl.
Clearly, both of you were drunk as your faces were red not only from anger but from the alcohol as well. Your words slurring as the two of you yelled at each other.
What started as a harmless teasing quickly escalated into a messy, comedic fight for your friends to witness.
Holding onto Gojo's shirt and the other on his hair, the tall man has no other choice but to bend down as he did the same to you.
Some scratches and light bruises scattered throughout your body and face. Your clothes and hair a mess.
Gojo shouted, "I'm a liar?! What I said is the truth! You're a goddamn coward!"
"You say I'm a coward, what makes you then?!" You shouted as well, breathing heavily and glared at him.
You tug at his hair earning a yelp.
"Don't think I'm clueless you goddamn man-child. I saw it when you two graduated and Geto-senpai confessed! All these years and your relationship hasn't progressed at all! You two have been together and never left each other side and yet you haven't admitted that you love him. You've done nothing but play him all along."
A vein bulged at his forehead, irritated, Gojo pulled at your hair making you groan.
"Shut up you goddamn woman!"
"Fuck you! You white hair old bastard! Just fucking go and splayed your goddamn legs in front of Geto-senpai and finally get laid! You horny bastard!"
You yelled while your friends who have been calmly watching the whole time, even the owner, laughed at your nonsense screaming match.
That right.
When you secretly witness Geto's confession to Gojo on their graduation day that's when you realize.
Your crush for Gojo was nothing more than an admiration because of his confidence. Confidence in being himself while he unknowingly becomes a love-struck fool for Geto.
You envy and wanted that.
You wanted to be a love-struck fool for Kento but your insecurity and low self-esteem prevented you from confessing your love for the handsome man.
However, seeing that this goddamn idiot had done nothing when he had all the chance in the world while you, on the other hand, were a mess, missing Kento, who was abroad and had no face to confess since the memories of you crushing on such an idiotic guy were still fresh in everyone's mind, made you angry to no end.
You slump as your knees got weak not just from the alcohol but from all the feelings you have been holding back, your previous energy leaving you as the bitter feelings spread inside you.
Tears started flowing and falling on your cheeks without your permission. Seeing this Gojo froze, his grip loosening and the once lively bar slowly quieted as you softly cried.
"No...I'm the goddamn idiot here... I've also had the chance... the chance to confess and love Kento but because I'm a coward I didn't take it..."
You admitted.
That's right. You were angry not only because of this bastard but mostly at yourself for being the biggest idiot ever.
And now, learning that Kento has someone he loves and is thinking of being engaged with her.
Regret filled you to the point of suffocation.
"I only had myself to blame..."
You whimper, now completely drunk as you lose coherence and kneel on the floor.
You felt as though everything was crumbling. Slowly losing your mind as you sink further in your sorrow.
Suddenly, a hand grabbed your waist, lifting you from the floor and pulling you away from Gojo's grasp.
You were brought into a warm embrace, your head resting on a broad chest.
It was then that you heard Kento's voice.
Deep, calm and mature, a voice that always makes your heart flutter and the voice that you have come to love.
"I'll be taking her home as she's too drunk," Kento said, carrying you in his arms as he talked to your friends while Geto dealt with Gojo.
You couldn't help but nuzzle further in his arms, burying your head in his neck and hugging him tightly. Unknowingly, Kento's breath hitched and his heart quivered from your actions.
Geto nodded, saying he'd be taking Gojo as well who was completely drunk, his head was swaying from all directions. His legs no longer had any strength to hold him, already unconscious.
Adjusting you in his arms, Nanami looked at you and found that you were completely unconscious.
He sighs but an undeniable faint blush on the corner of his cheeks and ears can be seen if you look closely.
Ieri who had been enjoying the show and her drinks, saw it and she smiled knowingly as she watched Nanami take your things.
"Nanami" Ierie called and Nanami looked at her.
"Be nice to her, okay?"
Nanami's expression didn't change, but he replied softly, "I will."
Nodding at your friends and the bar owner, Nanami carried you out and into his car that was parked outside.
He opened the car door and put you down, taking a moment to look at you and saw your tear-streaked face.
When he reached out to wipe away your tears, your lashes brushed against his fingers. He paused for a moment, taking a deep breath to calm down then got into the driver's seat, intent to take you home.
This time, he was determined to talk to you, even if you didn't want to. He wasn't going to let you go anytime soon.
Waking up, you groggily sat up as you looked around.
Clearly, it wasn't your room as the bedsheets were different. They were grey coloured and quite soft made of a different material from the ones you use.
The pieces of furniture were simple but obviously high-end and looked strangely familiar.
You didn't know how you got here nor did you remember what happened after you slapped Gojo but the feeling of being carried lingered in the back of your mind.
"Your awake." A deep husky voice said as the door opened.
It was Kento, holding a glass of water.
It finally dawned on you that you were in his place. You have been into his apartment a few times in the past however this was your first time staying over.
A nervous feeling settled in your stomach and felt your cheeks flushing. Whether from the lingering alcohol on your body or because of your feelings and the situation you are in, you don't know.
Still drunk and dazed, you obediently accepted the glass of water and took a few sips before setting it down on the nightstand.
An awkward silence envelops the two of you as Kento sat at the edge of the bed. His arms rested on his thigh and looking at you from the corner of his eyes, deep in thought.
You fidgeted. Your head lowered as you played with the bedsheet in your hand, feeling the soft fabric. You didn't know whether you should talk or not.
From the corner of your eyes, you stare at the man that you have been avoiding these past couple of weeks.
Two of his dress shirt buttons were undone, revealing his slender neck and chest, showing a hint of his muscular physique.
His sleeves were rolled up and you couldn't help but gaze at his forearms. The veins stood out along his arms, and his hands were large with defined knuckles and slender fingers.
His hair was slick back however few strands were sticking out, clearly messed up after a long day.
You might have been drunk nevertheless you still remember bit and pieces how he has carefully brought you from his car to his room.
Gently carrying you, laying you down and assisting you change from your work clothes to one of his.
Helplessly you thought, how could a man be so handsome and so caring at the same time.
Your eyes reddened.
The sour feeling from before sprang up again and tears gathered in your eyes.
Lifting a trembling hand, you covered your mouth as a sob escaped, trying to hide it, not wanting to make the situation worse.
You felt the bed shift then two rough and large hands cup your cheeks, raising your face.
Completely opposite from his usual reserve and stern expression, Kento looks at you with concern in his eyes.
"What's wrong, Y/n?" He asked, voice gentle and soft trying to calm you however hearing such tenderness, your cries seemed to grow even louder.
You stayed quiet. Pondering whether to confess everything or not, however, your heart got the best of you and you blurted.
"I love you. I love you, Kento. I have been ever since. I have always loved you... Please don't leave me." You cried as you confessed, your words became disjointed and frantic as you went on.
You didn't know what was Kento's reaction as large tears rolled down from your eyes, obscuring your vision.
You were sure you looked pathetic at that moment as you cried but that didn't matter anymore as you let it all out.
Long years of repressed emotions have completely overwhelmed you.
Your regret when Kento left, your joy when the two of you reunited. The searing pain of learning the truth that Kento has someone in his heart.
The jealousy and sorrow you drowned in as you distance yourself and finally the overwhelming love you hold for the man in front of you.
As you continued crying and repeating your confession like a broken record, warm lips suddenly sealed your lips, stopping your words.
Kento kissed you.
A strong, fierce and almost devouring one with a mix of revenge, and seeking reparation.
It only seemed to deepen as you felt his hand grab the back of your neck while the other drew you closer and tightened his embrace, as if afraid you would disappear.
You couldn't resist and kiss him back with just as much passion as you could.
Lifting your arms, you hugged his neck and pulled him closer while Kento lifted you in his lap, straddling him.
You kissed as if the both of you couldn't bear to separate. Your tongues danced and lips melted with each other.
You couldn't help but let out a moan, calling his name in desperation. A sweet tingling sensation runs through your body, making your toes curl.
It wasn't until the need to breathe that you pulled back.
Resting your forehead against his, you closed your eyes and felt your breaths intertwining.
Kento cups your face, caressing it and look into your eyes as you open them.
Longing, tenderness and adoration.
Emotions you never saw before now lingered in his eyes
"I love you too, Y/n." He said, his voice so tender and full of affection, it left you breathless.
"But what about the girl you like?"
Kento frowns, confusion in his eyes.
"I heard from Geto that you have someone you have loved for a long time." You quietly said.
Your voice trembling, just asking that question tormented you like no other but you had to.
You have to know who it is even if you are afraid of what Kento's answer might be.
Thinking this, your tears seemed like they would never dry as droplets fell on your cheeks.
Finally understanding what you mean and where you're coming from, Kento chuckled, wiping your cheeks and kissing you on the lips again before moving on to your neck where he felt your pulse.
"The person I love is you. I have loved you ever since and have always been. No one else but you."
You sat stunned for a moment as his confession slowly sank.
You sniffled and a fresh wave of tears fell however compared from before it was out of happiness.
Pulling Kento, you hugged him and fell onto the bed and this time, without reserve, you kissed him first.
Extra:
As morning came and illuminated the room in a soft light, Geto was just finishing his talk with Nanami on the phone when he heard the white-haired man in his bed groan in pain, holding his head.
Putting his phone away, Geto went to the kitchen to boil some water.
A few minutes later, he came back with a cup of honey lemon tea, handing it to Gojo.
Gojo who was in pain from a massive hang-over, didn't notice his friend staring at him in silence and quietly sip the hot tea.
"...So, is it true that you love me too?"
"PSHHH!"
Gojo spat out the tea, blushing, "..."
Let's just say another engagement party was arranged later on.
A/n: I had a hard time finishing writing this one shot.
It became longer and longer as I wrote when I was only planning to make a shorter one but then the plot just kept coming up and didn't know how to finish it. In the end, I had to torture myself to stick with it and finish it after more than 3 weeks of non-stop writing.
God, I'm such a masochist.đ
However, as I was writing the confession part, I couldn't help but start crying and I had to stop midway laughing at myself like a maniac. Oh my god.đ
I swear I won't be doing another long one-shot anytime soon. My brain was mush after this.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this fic! Please leave a comment on what you think!đ„č
