If you add in time travel it will really come full circle
An adaptation of Sherlock Holmes set in a world in which the fictional character/literary juggernaut Sherlock Holmes, and all the subsequent adaptations thereof, still exist.
Sherlock Holmes (pronounced Holl-mess, as he is constantly reminding people) just had the misfortune of having parents who really liked the books, and his attitude towards his fictional counterpart is pretty much the same as that of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Sherlock runs a Youtube Theory channel called Mysteries Unwrapped with Sherlock Holmes. He has received no less than seven cease and desist letters from the Conan Doyle estate, all of which he has so faded managed to rebuff by pointing out that that's literally his name.
(No he won't change his name. He's Sherlock Holmes the real live human person. Let Sherlock Holmes the non existent fictional character change his name.)
John is Sherlock's flatmate. Sherlock almost refused to live with him once he realised that it would mean staying with a medical student named John, and only gave in once John pointed out that: a) he's a biomedical student, which is completely different from an md, and b) his surname isn't Watson.
It's now been three years, which is long enough for them to have developed a genuine friendship, and for John to have a) started working towards his PhD in biotechnology, and b) for him to start dating somebody with the surname Watson.
Sherlock can feel the narrative closing in.
His Youtube channel is meant to be focused on lost media, fan theories and stuff like that, but he keeps accidentally stumbling upon and then solving genuine crimes.
His brother Mycroft may or may not have chosen that name after he transitions specifically to annoy him.
He doesn't even live in London, but somehow the only flat they could afford was on a street named fucking Baker Street.
Sherlock Holmes and the Unescapable Power of the Narrative.
Ooh I love this little freak too now.
Thanks for the tag @somethingclevermahogony!
Starbreaker is going well 👍
The next evening, Anarac lurked with intention. It was a lot more enjoyable than lurking just for the principle of it, he decided.
I love this little freak <3
I'll tag @mysticstarlightduck @leahnardo-da-veggie @davycoquette @oliolioxenfreewrites @vyuntspakhkite-l-darling and anyone else who wants to play :)
Congratulations!
Im hoping to recreate these recipes myself oneday
Thank y'all so much! Its really encouraging to know that people are interested in the world and the characters that I've made!
When I reached 100 followers, to celebrate I recreated my MCs favorite food, kipsha and then for 200 followers I made Otilia's favorite food, daropaka.
Now that I have reached 300 followers I am making this poll with a list of the favorite foods of a few of my OCs so that I can show y'all a little more about the foods and customs of the Green Sea! Let me know which y'all would be most interested in seeing, and I will make it and post about it with a recipe and a bit of a history on that particular dish!
These are the favorite foods of Ninma, Wadikir, Istek, Dati, Shela, Akard, Zenit, and Penetinos (in that order).
Thank you again everyone, and here is to hoping that one day I'll get the chance to show you all of these recipes. In future polls I'll start adding some of the dishes from characters in the other books. And if this is the first time you've seen something from me on tumblr, vote too if you want and take a look at some of the other stuff on my blog!

North Louisiana, 72F, warm, but only because it's humid as fuck
new game tell me where you're from, what the current temperature is, and whether you think that's warm or cold, just in general. I'll go first: Michigan, 42F, not that cold.

Hello to you too! I'm already really interested in the books you have!
Hello!
My name is Ian and I’m a writer so I figured it was about time I joined the writeblr community.
I’m 24 and use he/they pronouns.
I have a degree in Music Industry that I am currently not using. I also have a certificate in Writing and Publishing which I am sort of using.
I’ve been writing stories for as long as I can remember, but only started pursuing it as a career about three years ago. Since then I have self-published two books that I am very proud of.
In addition to writing I have interests in music, film & television, and linguistics. I also love to read so this will probably be a little bit of a bookblr too.
As I said, I have two books currently available in paperback and ebook. They’re called It Could Always Be Worse and Will It Ever Get Better? They are both part of a series called the Woodview Stories, which I plan to continue. I’m currently working on the next book.
It Could Always Be Worse
After a traumatic experience in her hometown of Miami, Elena Flores moves away to live with the father she’s never met. It’s not easy starting a new school in the middle of October, so when her half sister invites her to a party, she thinks “what’s the worst that could happen?” Elena must learn to navigate her new life in the wealthy suburbs of Long Island and try to build relationships, but that’s hard to do when she doesn’t know who to trust and she can’t let go of her anger and sadness.
Order here.
Will It Ever Get Better?
Jo Reilly has dealt with a lot of big changes lately. She’s sharing a room with a surprise half-sister, her parents are always fighting, her best friends aren’t speaking to her, and she’s falling for someone totally unexpected. All she wants is to be normal, but what does that even mean? Jo must learn to shed her insecurities, resentments, and preconceived notions, in order to be true to herself and find the people who really care about her.
Order here.
Woodview Stories
Woodview Stories is a Young Adult contemporary fiction book series. It tells the coming of age tales of a diverse group of teens living in the affluent Long Island neighborhood of Woodview. The overarching story progresses through the books chronologically with each installment switching narrator to focus on a different person's point of view. It all begins with Elena, whose sudden move to Woodview from Miami sets off a chain of events that affects the lives of everyone around her.
The majority of what I write in YA, like the books I have already written. I also tend to stick to contemporary, but sometimes drift to other genres.
I also dabble in screenwriting. I’m currently working on a teleplay as a side project. I’ll probably post a lot about that in addition to my main project.
I don’t know if I’ve put the right stuff in the intro post, but here it is anyway.
That’s all for now. Bye!

Just loving the adorableness of Ninma and Narul.
Hello everybody! Life has been hectic and I haven't been able to post here in quite some time. However, I have just finished the second edit of my WIP, Testaments of the Green Sea. I'm currently waiting for my editor (that is my partner) to finish their own read over of the manuscript.
Way back before everything went haywire, I commisioned a piece from @faeporcelain. It turned out amazing but I somehow failed to ever actually post it here for y'all to see it!
This is their rendition of my two MC's Narul and Ninma. Please go check out some more of their things, I really enjoy their style.
I'm not there yet but when I am satisfied with my edits, I would love to find some beta readers. And I would love discussing more about my story. Few things make me as happy as answering random story and worldbuilding questions. I used to post here relatively often, I might start doing that again if everything else in life permits it.
he probably went to go fuck with gran
so the thing about my family is that we have two ancestors on my dad’s side who were buried in france, where I currently live. one died in the spanish civil war, and one died prior doing…we don’t know what. but he somehow managed to get buried in père lachaise.
so anyhow, my gran sends me a message like “pls put flowers on ur uncle samuel’s grave because he’s gone over a century with none and it will make the ghost mad if he hasn’t already” because my family spends time in europe but never long enough to go all the way to père lachaise and give ya boy samuel jr. his death rites. so im like “ok gran I can do that” bc im a good grandson and you do not fuck with gran she doesn’t DESERVE THAT
i figure out which plot he’s on and ask someone specifically where you can find uncle samuel jr. and they tell me where and so I arrive at the junction and.
HE GONE.
WHERE DID YOU GO UNCLE SAMUEL.
*celine dion’s smash hit “my heart will go on” playing in the distance*
in other words either someone stole my entire great great uncle samuel or he has risen again, ready to party in paris for all of eternity.
you can pry starting sentences with 'and' or 'but' out of my cold, dead hands
