I kind of hate when people say that Mike's character is useless. Like sure, he was an asshole in season 3, I get that. And even then he still cared about will in s3 (if not more than he did for el, and lets not forget the will voice). But what I don't get is when people say he doesn't care about will at all. Been watching the makeover scene on repeat because it's fascinating. Mike is literally making up El the way he wants her to be, very feminine, blonde, the idealized American girl. She doesn't get a say in her clothes or her makeup or her hair, they are simply decided for her while she is obviously very uncomfortable. Secondly, Mike doesn't call her pretty until she's got the wig on, as if at that moment he realized "Shit, I like to spend time with this person, she's a girl, that means I must have a crush on her, quick call her pretty" It's watching two kids pretending to be someone they're not. Compare that to the Max makeover
