As someone who loves soccer and working with kids, it's really bittersweet at the end of a season. On the one hand I lose my current team. On the other, I get to know a new group of players and see my past players grow and learn as they have other coaches and play more competitively.
These kids went through so much this past year. It's said a lot. But it's true. I work with 3 to 8 year old children, and the younger the kid, the more clueless they are at interacting with children and other people. This year I taught not only soccer, but how to make friends and interact in more positive ways. And so I wanted to make them something to remember this crazy but fun soccer season.
I cut and sanded down scrap wood, cut out stencils for the team name, season, and each players name and number. I used a pencil to lightly outline my letters for burning and went at it. The backs all had the team name and season, and the other side was personalized for each player with their name and number.
It’s difficult to do space colors in colored pencils. Especially when you cannot think about colors. But this is what I got for today.
Corruptober 2020, Day 18: Copy Cat
@zrex-utau
The best copy cats are the ones that attack you, right?
First ever attempt at a person’s face. Not completely terrible
I had intended on coloring the flowers themselves, likely with silver, but I absolutely love how they turned out in just black and white. It’s rare that I actually like my own art, let alone to adore something like this. I really need to get back into using my pens and markers. So much fun, and it looks so clean..!
My boyfriend convinced me to start sharing my art, so here it is! I’m a neurodivergent artist and writer who goes by either Ray or Drachen | 22 | self taught |
