Bakugou is canonically the closest person too Deku.

Plus,this was stated as non platonic nor,romantic.

So..I was right about shigaraki purposely targeting bakugou on purpose because he's dekus close-ish. Relationship. In general, it's very important that bakugou is close to deku.

And I do have a theroy about how love breeds hurt in the mha universe ,i'll put it in short,it can be used against you in multiple ways,villains may hurt your loved one. You get really mad,which makes you vulnerable,which gets the villain going at you.

I think shigaraki and all for one know that bakugou ,is near and dear to dekus heart. So bakugous a target.

And oh. Oh . Boy. He knows where to go .

Because him doing that makes deku get hurt BAD,but! It fucking shigaraki up too.

Thinking about how this implies that izuku talks about katsuki when he’s with her

It’s not funny.

It’s not just competitiveness

It’s not just imitation.

It’s not just respect

This is the face of devotion.

This is not just some plain-old rivalry.

Izuku has rivalries, he has friends.

But Bakugou Katsuki is not just a rival, not just a friend, and not just a bully. Certainly, not just some childhood friend.

He is Izuku’s inspiration, the person closest to him who was put on a pedestal next to fucking All Might, Who was basically considered a god in the MHA universe before his retirement.

It’s not funny to say that Izuku’s admiration for Katsuki is just ‘Hero Worship’.

Because if Izuku ‘worships’ All Might, you should damn well Fear what he will do for someone closer than All Might, for Katsuki.

All Might asked Izuku to step into his shoes in the next Symbol- hewas ready to break his bones in the tournament to win

All Might said he always saves the people within his reach - Izuku nearly killed himself to secure Kouta and save Kacchan

All Might knows Izuku’s spirit and desperation is a fearsome thing. And Katsuki is threatened by it.

Izuku trying to save Kacchan…repeatedly, at the cost of his own damn life…

How he cried like his damn soul was ripped out of his body after Kacchan was taken away.

Tell me one more time that Izuku hates Katsuki, and I’ll show you a devotion beyond words.

Now…Imagine what Izuku would do if Katsuki asked something from him.

But you know what? Katsuki is never going to do that because he is the one person who is intimately aware of everything Izuku can sacrifice in the name of devotion.

And I for one, am really thankful that Katsuki will never dare ask anything of him.

You can call it his Pride. I’ll call it his Fear.

Because the one thing Katsuki fears above everything else is ‘Izuku’s Spirit’

heroes rising finally started showing in cinemas here in australia so i got possessed to make this

“Have you ever been in love?“ 

 Izuku blinked, then turned pink at the question. "W-what,” he squeaked. “Um. What brought this on, Todoroki-kun?”

Todoroki tilted his head. “Kaminari was asking if ever had a girlfriend before. He wouldn’t believe me when I told him I’ve never even liked anyone before.” Heterochromatic eyes glanced his way. “Is that strange?”

Ah. 

Izuku rubbed the back of his neck. “I guess it would be weird to someone like Kaminari-kun. But I don’t think it’s that serious? You were pretty disinterested in even friendships when we first met. It makes sense that relationships were the last thing on your mind.”

"Hm,” Todoroki said thoughtfully. “I see. So you haven’t been in love before?" 

Izuku had to look away at that, ears warm. "W-well… I wouldn’t say that." 

 A pregnant pause followed. Feeling himself begin to sweat, Izuku chanced a look to see Todoroki staring at him expectantly. Waiting for him to elaborate. Izuku immediately glanced away, embarrassed. "Um. I did. Once." 

"How did it end?” Todoroki asked. 

He thought of childhood adventures and slippery footing. He remembered offering a hand and having it furiously slapped away. 

And then years later, how that hand reached back and held on. Tightly. 

Absently, he rubbed at crooked fingers. Izuku could still feel it. Calloused, bloody, and worse of wear. They had both been. 

(“Will you still be able to use it, after this?”

“I don’t know. But if it’s you, it’s okay.”)

He murmured, “It hasn’t."
